" Single Rose"

Sunday 2nd September 2012
Good Morning Blog friends, thank you so much for calling by each day, I love how you are leaving your comments to let me know you have visited, I do like reading them all.
A wee bit of a story today as well.

My sister/best friend, Hazel and I go off this evening, staying in a Hotel at Edinburgh Airport ready for take off at 9am tomorrow, YES!!  Getting to our little corner of Paradise has been Hazel`s goal since she got a horrible Cancer Diagnoses back in March.  Chemo all finished, Radio Therapy booked for when we get back.  Hazel I am so proud of you.  You have coped with all this so positively, we will have a great time as usual, don`t you worry!!   John and I spent from early May till end October in Dalyan, Turkey for 7 years.   We sold our house in Dalyan just after our Grandsons were born.  We had waited 9 years for a Grandchild, like buses you wait ages for one then two come together.   Thomas was born, 26mths later Robert came along, that was that, no more long summers in Turkey.  John could not bear to be away from his boys for such a long time, so that was that, house sold.   I really missed my little corner of Paradise so although house sold, we did go back a lot.  John has lost interest now, not me, I still like to get out there.  Hazel and I have been going together for years now, I love it, she loves it, we have a great time, chatting, relaxing, eating, meeting up with lots of friends.
We are only away for a week, I will be back...............!!!
When I return and my followers get up to 40 I will have a little "give away" of some crafty goodies to say Thank You.

Right!  today`s card, is the card I made for the Card Swap on Joanna Sheen`s Forum, subject "A single flower".   I have sent it off in the post, person to receive it not a follower on here so no worries.
This was a tutorial by Suzzane on the Forum for Creative Expressions back in May, "A Triple Easel Card"  I loved it so much I have done quite a few.  Use plain rectangles in dark colours, it looks like an old "Box Camera" so great for a man card.

Card made using white Centura Pearl from Crafter`s Companion
Spellbinders Fleur di Leis Rectangles
Rose done using Spellbinder Classic Circle Dies
Leaves my favourite Crealies die CL CS11 from Joanna Sheen
Sentiment done on computer

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling I really do appreciate it
Keep Crafting
