"Autum Colours

Good Morning Blog friends just had to let you see my trees, they are so spectacular.  This is what we saw yesterday while sitting having breakfast.  We had thick, thick fog, then suddenly the sun came up, the fog burned back and we were greeted with this beautiful sight. Sorry the house is casting shadow but as they say "you can`t have everything"........  I see a dead bit in one of the trees, that will be a job for John later once the leaves are all off.

Inspired by that scene here is today`s card

Base Card 8 x 8 from Joanna Sheen
Brown pearlised  card stock
Backing paper I have had for years, I do not normally use these colours
I had these stamps, not being a stamper I just stamped them as they were.
I added some lines to create depth
A few flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, plus some twisted stems
Gems from my box

The trees look a bit wintery, I did not want to muck things up by trying to adorn them with foliage

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling I really do appreciate you visiting and leaving all your lovely comments

  1. Hi Patricia, a lovely autumnal card, just adore your colour theme and the trees look gorgeous. I just adore this season when the trees change colour and the sun catches them just magical.

  2. Yes I too love the trees when they are wearing their autumn clothes. Our local Sainsbury's car park looks terrific because it has loads of maple trees which look great- the leaves are a beautiful shade of red. I am also surrounded by trees of every shade and hue at the moment. Anyway, enough of this whimsy. Your card is lovely Patricia. A bit different to anything you usually post. Another masculine card - something we all need! Have a good day. Christine x

  4. The trees here have looked beautiful too, covered in glory, but with the cold wind on it's way I suspect they will look like yours by the weekend. Great card and use of colour. Hugs, Buttons x

  5. Hi Patricia,
wonderful colour trees. I too love trees especially in autumn. In our town they have a grand magnolia tree I'm not sure what it's called, but the blooms are superb they are so big and a lovey shade of cream. I just stand there and admire it twice a year. While everyone walks by and doesn't notice it.
Your card is very lovely, beautiful stamping, and the addition to give it depth. Love the card you have used.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
