"Pink & White"

Good Morning Blog friends, it is a beautiful sunny but very frosty morning here, I hope your day is bright and sunny where ever you are.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments yesterday. I think my little Twinchie will be used on a bigger card sometime in the future.  I did actually think about putting a thicker back on it , adding a brooch pin and using it that way, we will see.    I have made cards for quite a few years now but showing them here has taken me on a whole new journey.   Blogging makes things so much more special.  The one problem I can see is running out of ideas.  Have any of you long time bloggers found that??

The card I have for today I would like to enter this into "In The Pink Challenge"
Have you had a look at their Blog??  It really is worth a visit, there are some fantastic cards there.

Base approx 8 x 6  cut from Crafter`s Companion A3 Centura Pearl card
White card pierced round the edge
Pink Pearl Card Stock
Darker Pink Pearl card
Pink Pearl card embossed with Tied Together Embossing Folder
I used Cosmic Shimmer Liquid Pearls, this was a brand new bottle which I felt was much thinner than my last one.  The result was.......... the liquid not so controllable!!!   Will give it a good old shake about and have another go later.
Pink ribbon for my Box
Leaves Spellbinder Foliage Die cut in "Pink and White"
Of course it would not be a "Patricia Card" without a rose
The Rose was cut using Spellbinder Blossom Five Die, 160gms white paper and edged with Fired Brick Distress Ink
Sentiment is one I downloaded quite some time ago from Pink Petticoat

That`s it for today
I know I say this every day but I really do appreciate you calling by and leaving such wonderful comments on my work.  It makes it all so much more worth while.

Patricia

  3. Morning Patricia, Stunning card today, love the pink and white theme, love the twirled ribbon (the lady from Ribbonbox always does that on her cards, it is so beautiful), the 'tied together' embossing folder looks gorgeous, but the rose is absolutely stunning.
A NOTE FOR SUSAN FLYNN - the tied together is in stock at Country View Crafts for £4.99, if that is any help.
    Have a great day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  12. This is beautiful and just so stunning! I looked at the go pink challenge and its for a very good cause. I really need to get that tied together embossing folder as it looks so effective on any card and colour. The flower on your card is just so fabulous I just love it! A lovely card. By the way I run out of ideas too with card crafting that's why I started to do jewellery making and scrapbooking and basically making 3D projects too. Have a good day. Hugs sharon xxxx

  17. This is beautiful Patricia. Love that you used liquid pearls for the embossed backing, I'll try that one next time, I used up way too many pearls for one card last time I did that!

PS Your Copic case is on the way, posted on Friday 4 Oct, surface mail I'm afraid so look for it in about a month! It will be an early Christmas gift.

    Cheers,

  19. Hi Patricia, late in posting today, been busy, but it was worth the wait to see this card, absolutely stunning. I just adore the roses. You will have to post a tutorial on how to do them, they are just amazing. Someone mentioned that using the liquid pearls on pearlised card made it run a bit, Julia Watts (Inky Finger Zone)also said this on one of her shows on C&C or her blog one of the two. Sorry I am getting tired. I don't think you will ever run out of ideas not with all the lovely cards you have posted so far.

  21. Wowwwww what a stunning card with such a fabulous flower!! And I love the embossing with the pearls too. Altogether gorgeous!

And in answer to your question about the possibility of running out of ideas.... no..... it will never happen!! I have been blogging for a long time now and am always learning something new.... or see a new technique I want to try...

Thank you for sharing with us at In The Pink and also for your support... good luck and hope to see you again soon!

    Hugs
