Well! its the weekend once again, if you have things planned I hope it all goes well.  Nothing planned here at the moment but you never know!!!

I made today`s card with the  "In the Pink" Challenge in mind, really don`t think there is enough pink on it so we will see.  Hopeless at getting cards on Challenges anyway so wont worry about it.

Base card slightly smaller than 8 X 8 had to cut it, there was a mark on one of the edges
White card embossed using Spellbinder M-Bossibility Folder forget the name of it.....
Piece of white card punched using Martha Stewart Punch
Pink card, a bit from the Bit Box
Used a Marianne's Die for the square Die Cut, nice die but sometimes a bother to cut
White 106gsm paper flowers using various Spellbinder Flower Dies
LOTV stamp from a set stamped and cut out
Suede leaves from Sam Poole Crafts
American Seam Binding and Pearl Pins from Wild Orchid Crafts

That`s it for today
Thank you for taking time out from your weekend  to call in an say Hi! I really do appreciate it

"Bit Box Thank You"

Good Morning Blog friends, well here we at Friday once again.  Just seems like I went to bed on Monday woke up Friday, where has this week gone??  Thank you for popping by and for taking time to leave your comments, I read each and every one.
I have to say that there is a world of fantastic Crafters out there. I have been doing some Blog Hopping and Oh! My Word! have you seen some of the cards, they are works of art..........!!

Hazel and handed over our cheques yesterday, which were gratefully received, we are very proud of what we achieved.

After that I went to our Grandsons Harvest Concert at their school, Grandpa went along just in case I would not make it.   My goodness what these children do is amazing.  The boys go to a very Rural School only 21 pupils but what a show they put on.  The children had made Soup from vegetables they grew in the school garden.  They also made Apple Tray Bake with apples from the school garden.  Both were handed out to the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, they were delicious.

Today`s card is another little Thank You card.   I made this one to thank my friend and neighbour for the birthday gift she gave me.  I did intend posting a Black and White birthday card I had made.  I had a look on Jenny L`s Blog yesterday morning and what did she have on??? Yep!!! a Black and White card, I will save mine for a future post.

Base Card is small, a left over scrap from cutting down A3 card
Backing paper I am sure you are sick seeing it.   I printed off a few sheets and seem to have used it on all my recent cards.  You know how it is.................your on a roll and just keep going
Spellbinders Basic Lattice Die, cut loads of them as well, love this die
Rose made from bits of printed paper using Spellbinder Blossom Five Die
Leaves from scraps using Crealie Die from Joanna Sheen
Tag I cut myself , and a printed sentiment

Patrica asked yesterday what kind of camera I use.   It is a cheap as chips Fuji Digital which I have had for years.  I think if you get a particular place to take your pictures and just stick to that they all seem to come out OK.   Good job you guys don`t see all the well out of focus ones that I have to delete .......!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really do appreciate it

"A Tag Card" with a difference

Good Morning Blog friends, I hope you are all coping with the weather.  We were OK yesterday even got some washing dried.  It ended up a beautiful afternoon.
Thank you for popping in and for leaving your wonderful comments.  I feel very honoured to get so many.
I am meeting Hazel later this morning.  We are off to hand over cheques for the money we have raised making and selling our Pendants plus other bits and pieces.    We have a cheque for the Maggies Centre, also one for The Chemo Unit both based at Ninewells Hospital Dundee.
Hazel phoned yesterday to find out what I would be wearing.  We have to do this, so many times we have arrived at functions, even just for coffee to find we are dressed very similar.    I am not joking, it has happened quite a few times.  Maybe not exactly the same outfits but similar colours, last time it was Lime Green cardigan, Cream trousers, floral pump shoes for me.  Hazel had Lime Green Cardigan, Cream Skirt, floral shoes.

Today`s card is my take on a "Tag Card"   I have done a few "Tag Cards" but this a little different. A little Tag in a Pocket

Base Card is the size of the largest Die in the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight Set
I cut it 3 times, used 2 back to back for the actual card
The 3rd one I cut in half to use for my bottom pocket, raised with a few foam pads
I do not have Labels Eight Dies I cut out another 2 decorative ones in paper, cut them back to suit
Backing papers from a Nitwit download
Added some lace along the top of the pocket
The removable little tag is the 2nd smallest die in the set
The Sweet Friend sentiment was cut using another smaller die in the set
Flowers Bitty Blossoms, leaves Foliage both Spellbinder Dies
Sentiments done on computer
Lace, ribbon and the little charm all from my stash

I hope you like this, it took a while but I feel it has been worth it.
Thank you for visting me here, I really do appreciate it

"Doilies and Lace"

Good morning Blog friends...............well!! what about that weather yesterday???
Thank goodness you did not have to go out in it to visit me.  Thank you for popping in and leaving all those lovely comments, makes it all worth while.

I read a comment on my Blog a couple of days ago about someone not knowing exactly what to do with their Doily Die.
I like using mine, they are so pretty, I think most of you will know I like "Pretty"

Base card 4 x 7 approx it is actually half of an 8 x 8 Kraft Card
I felt it looked too long and narrow so I chopped a bit off the bottom
Covered the front of the card with a download paper from Nitwit
I cut two borders in contrasting colours using a Spellbinder Die
Attached the borders over the top of my card then popped a Doily over that
I used the other Doily on the main part of my card
Cut a tag using a scrap of white card
Threaded some bakers twine onto the tag
Attached that to the card
Added a couple of leaf/swirl type die cuts and a couple of lace bows
Thought it looked a little bare so added some faux stitching
Then I found those scissors and just had to add them

I got the scissors at Hobbycraft in Glasgow back in March I just hope the company I got them from are back in late October.  Don`t ask me who they were I will just have to look, look and better look till I find them.

That`s it for today folks
Thank you for calling by I really do appreciate your visits

"Basic Lattice - Again"

Good Morning Blog Friends, thank you so much for taking time to pop by today. I love having you here, and for taking the time to leave your comments.
Well yesterday was a bit of a busy day to say the least, sleeping late really puts things way out of order.

Today I was up and out before my clothes were properly on. Had a power cut sometime in the middle of the night, out with no shower, ours is a power one so no water without electricity.   Went along to John and Audrey`s about 8 miles from us.  OH! Man! what a journey, avoiding falling trees.  John and Audrey have a ancient tree at the bottom of their garden which shed a huge limb just as we came out of the drive.  The farmer next door has moved it with the aid if his tractor.  Thank God no one was driving past when it came down.

I had real problems with the Roses for today`s card don't know what was happening just could not get them they way I wanted.  I think it might have been the paper.

Base card 8 x 5 approx cut from A3 card stock
Burgundy card from my stash
Backing paper I have had for years I think it was Graphicus
White card from the Bit Box embossed with a Christmas M-Bossibility Folder
Spellbinders Basic Lattice cut from white Card Stock
Leaves cut using Crealie Die and Burgundy card
Some flat back pearls
Sentiment stamp from £1 box at the Hobbycraft shop

That`s it for today, a bit more of a card than yesterdays.  I found that Magic Wand later in the day so managed to conjure up something a bit more like my usual.
Thank you so much for calling in I really do appreciate it

"Engagement Card"

Good  Morning Blog Friends, if you have already popped in I am sorry it has been one of those days.
Slept late, there was housework that had to be done before I even thought about sitting at this computer.  I have to confess that I am a bit of a "Neat Freak" and if things have to be done in the house they have to be done FIRST!!!

I know a lot of you clever people out there can set Mr Blogger to post automatically, well guess what folks! I am certainly NOT that clever..
Here now, thank you for calling by, I love to have you visit.

Was getting on great then the phone rang, it was my best customer in the village.  Mrs McGowan who is 83 , she gets all her cards from me.  We have no shops, it is 3 miles in either direction to find one, that`s OK if you have a car, we have NO buses.  "Can you make me an Engagement Card" ...... no problem when do you need it for??  Could you have it ready for when Lawrence the "Postie" comes, just make it flat so I can stick a 2nd Class stamp on it.   Well "postie" comes at approx 12am so that gave me all of about 45mins..............Oh! where did I leave that "Magic Wand"..............

No point explaining how this card was made as you can see I rummaged in the "Bit Box and threw it together. Certainly could not charge her for it that`s for sure.
I promise I will have something better for tomorrow.

My Post will be later then as well, I have to go along to John Jnr and Audrey`s to put the boys to school.  Audrey (a midwife) is working a 12 hours day shift. John was supposed to be working from home but has been called to an important meeting, he has to get the train just after 7.30am.

I think I will start posting later in the day from now on, as the mornings are getting darker my S.A.D. symptoms will start to kick in.  I do take extra vitamin "D" which really helps but I just loose some of my Zing! in the mornings.

 That`s it for today
Thank you for visiting I really do appreciate it, I do love to read the comments that you kindly take time to leave.

"For a Special Person"

Good Morning Blog friends, thank you so much for calling by.  I do like to have you stop to have a look and leave your comments, I do read them all.
Thick frost here again this morning, think I will have to go and pop the heating on,
It was a beautiful day here yesterday, the sun was shining although it was rather cold.  We met Audrey and the boys for lunch, then of course came the usual question..................can we come back to your house??
Back they came, they got all geared up and off they went on their bikes.  John did ask if I wanted to join them.  When I heard the route they were taking I suddenly found lots that had to be done.  Man!! I would have been pushing my bike more than riding the thing on the roads they would be traveling.   We live way off the beaten track, the roads are very quite so no problems for a 5year old an 8year old and their Grandpa.  I will not give away his age, a wee clue..............he has been retired for a fair few years!!!!

I was Blog hopping a few days ago and came across this quote which struck a cord, I just had to use it.

 Base card 5 x 7 approx
Background paper printed from Nitwit Download, mounted on pink card, stitched and distressed
Doily cut using Cheery Lynn French Pastry Die
Tag cut from a scrap in the Bit Box embossed with Paisley Folder from Spellbinders
Sentiment printed on computer, mounted on pink card
Pearl dots done by me using Cosmic Shimmer Pearl
Button from my Button Box
Flowers Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves a Crealie Die

That`s it for today folks
Thank you taking time to visit I really do appreciate it
