"Pink & White"

Good Morning Blog friends, it is a beautiful sunny but very frosty morning here, I hope your day is bright and sunny where ever you are.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments yesterday. I think my little Twinchie will be used on a bigger card sometime in the future.  I did actually think about putting a thicker back on it , adding a brooch pin and using it that way, we will see.    I have made cards for quite a few years now but showing them here has taken me on a whole new journey.   Blogging makes things so much more special.  The one problem I can see is running out of ideas.  Have any of you long time bloggers found that??

The card I have for today I would like to enter this into "In The Pink Challenge"
Have you had a look at their Blog??  It really is worth a visit, there are some fantastic cards there.

Base approx 8 x 6  cut from Crafter`s Companion A3 Centura Pearl card
White card pierced round the edge
Pink Pearl Card Stock
Darker Pink Pearl card
Pink Pearl card embossed with Tied Together Embossing Folder
I used Cosmic Shimmer Liquid Pearls, this was a brand new bottle which I felt was much thinner than my last one.  The result was.......... the liquid not so controllable!!!   Will give it a good old shake about and have another go later.
Pink ribbon for my Box
Leaves Spellbinder Foliage Die cut in "Pink and White"
Of course it would not be a "Patricia Card" without a rose
The Rose was cut using Spellbinder Blossom Five Die, 160gms white paper and edged with Fired Brick Distress Ink
Sentiment is one I downloaded quite some time ago from Pink Petticoat

That`s it for today
I know I say this every day but I really do appreciate you calling by and leaving such wonderful comments on my work.  It makes it all so much more worth while.

"A Twinchie"

Good Morning Blog friends, thank you for popping in today.  I have something a little different, I was looking in on Jenny L`s Blog (Cardsarus) and saw she had done of couple of these tiny cards.  It is amazing what you can learn by Blog Hopping.  I clicked onto the "Twinchie" Blog and had a look there as well.  I decided I had to have a go, here it the one I made.

I made a very miniature of the Heart Pendants that Hazel and I make to raise funds.  I decorated that with tiny buttons I had in my Button Box.  Used a bit of the border I had punched for yesterday`s card.   Tied a double bow with very fine silk ribbon, I think it was from a Flowersoft Kit I bought years ago, I also added a few pearls.
Well what do you think???  They are really cute and actually fun to make.  Might have another go, it is a great way to use up all those tiny scraps.  The only question I ask is.......... what the heck do you do with them????

I have entered this in the http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/

That`s it for today
Thank you for taking the time to call by, I really appreciate your visit, I always love to see you.

"More and More Roses"

Good Morning Blog friends, thank you for calling in today and for all the other days you have popped by and left your lovely comments.
I am a little confused this week, now that`s not hard I can assure you!!!!  With the boys having their sleep over Sunday/Monday I am a day out.  Yesterday I kept thinking it was Tuesday, better get it right I am to meet my friend for coffee later.  A week past Tuesday after my traumatic morning in the gales I forgot to meet her.  She has forgiven me, luckily where we meet we are known, some other ladies that are often there at the same time as us invited her to join them.

I got a little carried away yesterday making roses.  I was getting my bits and pieces ready to make a couple of cards, I did intend using Wild Orchid Crafts roses I have had for ages.    I found a sheet of backing paper I had printed, a Nit Wit collection Download.  I decided to use that and make the roses myself.

Base Card was an 8 x 8 I cut it back a little bit to about 7 x 7
Pink card from stock
White card embossed with a dotty embossing folder
Another piece of white card cut using Marianne Designables Folder DS0907
I backed that with a piece of the pink card to show through
Cut a border using a Martha Stewart Punch
Leaves and the flower head are Marianne Dies
My Roses of course using Spellbinder Blossom Five Die
A few pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts

 That`s it for today
Thank you so much for visiting I really do appreciate it

"Butterfly Birthday"

Good Morning Blog friends, thank you for sharing my little corner of Blogland with me, I love when you come to visit.  I hope you have time to leave a message to let me know you called.
It is so dark in the morning now I have to keep checking the clock to see what time it is, I really don`t like the dark mornings.  However it has been quite nice these past couple of days which does help.
It will be hard to get back into the swing of Crafting after these few days away from it.
The housework is up to date again, all the ironing done and put away.  I have loads of time to play but just can`t get "In the Mood".............!!

Oh! by the way I am a Winner!!!!   I won the Blog Candy over on the Kasey~in Oz Blog
Thank you Kasey I am delighted.
Today`s card is not exactly what I had in mind, but there you go.  How many times do we have something in mind that actually comes out as we planned??  I feel the bottom left hand corner is rather crowded anyway here it is.

Base card 6 x 6
Piece of Pink card stock embossed with Spellbinder M-Bossing Folder
Half a Doily I found in my box, must have used the other half, certainly not aware of on what!!!
I cut 2 different Spellbinder Moroccan Motifs and stacked them, one in pink the other white
Crealies Die CL CF 05 for the small flower
Crealies Die CL CS 11 for Leaves
Crealies Die CL CS 02 for the flourishes all from Joanna Sheen
Some wired pearls from stock
I used Cosmic Shimmer Liquid Pearls not to successfully I may add.  I think the paper the Doily was made of sucked them up and they tended to go flat.  Will not use them like that again............

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping by I really do appreciate it

"Our Pendants"

Good evening , thank you for dropping into my little corner of Blogland, hope to can stay a while.

No crafting again today, these boys take up a lot of time.  In the Angus area of Scotland where the boys live it is "Tattie Holiday" time, they came off on Friday for two weeks.
Mummy a Midwife is working the last of 3 days 12 hours shifts to get her hours up before they go off to Cyprus for their holiday.  Daddy was to be working from home but as sometimes happens he was called away.
When he was proposed for the position he has, we had a family chat where we came to the decision it was too good a job to pass up.  We told them we would help out if there were last minute changes to any plans.  It does not happen too often but it is funny when it happens it happens in 2 or 3s.
The boys wanted a sleepover last night which turned out to be perfect.  John Jnr. got a call this morning to be at a meeting in Perth at 11am.  He did not have to worry about the boys he knew they would be fine here.
We took them to Arbroath, it was a beautiful day there, but Oh! My! Word! it was bracing to say the least..............!!! They have a fantastic play park there with equipment that we would have "died and gone to heaven" for at their age.  Pity it had been so busy I would have loved to have had a go on some of the things, especially the Zip Wire.................!!!

Someone enquired on my Blog about the Pendants Hazel and I make to raise funds.  This is some them, they can`t be duplicated.  It is impossible because of the variations in the beads.  If anyone is interested in buying please contact me at pjdtrimbush@aol.com where I can give them information regarding prices.

That`s it today, I certainly hope to get back to my crafting at some point tomorrow.
Thank you for calling in I love to see you here and I really apppreciate you taking time to stop by.

"A Rose Again"

Good evening, a "BIG" welcome to my new followers, thank you for sharing my little corner of Blogland.  Hope you can stay a while, I love having you here.
I am posting this evening as I have two boys having a sleepover.  Robert 5 is sound asleep, Thomas 8 is watching a DVD about Steam Engines with his Grandpa.  I am rushing to get this done before I get that call "Granny can I have something eat please" OMG!!  where does that child put it all???
They came along with Daddy to stay for 1 hour this morning till he walked the dogs.  It was pouring rain at the time and he did not want them getting soaked.  We had Lunch, the rain went off and they wanted to go for a walk in the woods.  So "wellies" and sweaters on and off we all went.   We had great fun, after we managed to get Grandpa back on his feet after he fell over a tree root, OK no damage done it was up a bank so he did not really fall that far.  The boys collected loads of fir cones, Thomas wants to make a wreath for their front door for Christmas.............I have plenty time then!!!!

No crafting again today, this is a card I did a couple of weeks ago for my Stock Box, I also made a box for in to go in.

White card cut approx to 5 x 7
White card embossed using Spellbinder M-Bossing Folder
A Border I had cut, not used and put in my Bit Box, that`s it used
Pink paper from the Bit Box it was a backing paper printed from Joanna Sheen`s Baby Love CD
Rose made using the same Pink Paper and Spellbinder Classic Circle Dies
Leaves using Spellbinder Foliage Die
Pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts used on some of the embossed flowers

That`s it for this evening
Thank you so much for popping in to visit I really do appreciate it
