"Just A Note"

Good morning Blog friends, here we are at the weekend once again.  Case of, seemed like I went to bed on Monday night, woke up and it is Saturday.
Thank you very much for dropping by, great to have you visit.  If you have time please leave a message so I know you called, I read them all.
Busy this morning, I am not clever enough to work out how to get the Blogger to post automatically.  I did try it the other day but it did not work, will try again sometime.
I am off this morning to the Hobbycraft Show in Glasgow.  Tell you something folks!!! with the weather yesterday, I have not slept good.  Was beginning to think we might not even get out of the village this morning.   We had flurries of snow all afternoon and evening, John Jnr was in Aberdeen and had a bit of bother getting back down the road last night.  Thankfully it has not come to anything, just thick, thick frost and freezing.   I am going with my neighbour across the road who I have encouraged in Card Making over the years.   I usually drive but she has just bought a brand new car and she said she would drive this time.. Think she just wants to show off her beautiful new car, fair enough I don`t mind being driven for a change.   If it was me, I would not be taking my nice new car, someone might bump it in the Car Park..................

Today`s card I made yesterday afternoon.  Got the Friday cleaning done, did the food shopping, the boys are here all day Sunday so had to get in plenty.  The one thing I always need is loads of Milk!! a milk cow rather than sheep in the field out the back would be much better.

Base card was a Scalloped  8 x 8 from Joanna Sheen till I cut the scallops off.  I felt it made the card look too fussy
White card which I pierced round the edge
White card embossed
I punched a border both sides of a piece of white card and lightly distressed
Piece of patterned paper from my Bit Box
Bit of lace from the Lace Box
I made a Fish Tail which I tucked under the lace
Sentiment done on the computer, cut out using a Spellbinder Die
I cut the same out in Pink card split it to give the white an edge
Pearls were white, I coloured them with a Promarker
The Rose I made as usual with Spellbinder Blossom Five Die
I added a few little flowers, leaves and a heart charm from my stash

That`s it for today
Off to get my things together for going
Tickets... Check!  Money ...Check! well I am sure you all know the scene.
They are the two most important oh! and Glasses to see what I am buying
Thank you for calling in I really do appreciate it

"Buttons & Bows"

Good Morning Blog friends, welcome to my little corner of Blogland, I really love to have you come and visit.  If you have time please leave a message so I know you called.  If you leave a message I can pop over and have a look at your Blog to see what you are getting up to.  It is amazing what you can learn while Blog Hopping.   My last post was way out of my comfort zone so I just had to get back into things I prefer doing.  I love Autumn colours on the trees especially those in my garden which I showed.  I am not into using those colours to craft with.  Sorry it might be just a bit boring for you looking and always seeing everything Pink and Roses.  I get far more satisfaction and pleasure doing things like that.
Today`s project is a little box, I thought it might hold some nice Hand Made Soap.
Must have a try, it should hold a very small Nivea or Astral Cream and Lipbalm or Lip Gloss.
Could be a Table Gift for Christmas, we don`t do Crackers they frighten the dogs.  We don`t have dogs but the boys do, we have Christmas at their house so they don`t have to leave all their toys.

I cut two frames from thick paper/thin card and put a piece of Acetate between them for the frame.
I used a Spellbinders Die I think it is Lacy Squares, the centre of this Die does not cut out so I taped a Classic Square Die in the centre so it became a frame.
The box is approx 3" x 3" x 1" made using my Crafters Companion Box Board and Pink Card
I just measured roughly to get a size for the box.
Before I made up the lid of the box I also cut a hole in the middle using the Classic Square
I attached the Frame to the lid, added some Organza Bows, think they are a bit on the big side.  My other option of Organza was too narrow.  I have added a note to my list for Glasgow on Saturday to have a look for a width between the ones I have.

I might enter this for In The Pink Challenge if I am not too late.
http://inthepinkchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/  I saw their Buttons & Bows challenge some time ago and forgot.  I am not into challenges, I really do what I do for me.
That`s it for today
Thank you for popping in I really do appreciate it, also all your lovely comments which I always read.

"Autum Colours

Good Morning Blog friends just had to let you see my trees, they are so spectacular.  This is what we saw yesterday while sitting having breakfast.  We had thick, thick fog, then suddenly the sun came up, the fog burned back and we were greeted with this beautiful sight. Sorry the house is casting shadow but as they say "you can`t have everything"........  I see a dead bit in one of the trees, that will be a job for John later once the leaves are all off.

Inspired by that scene here is today`s card

Base Card 8 x 8 from Joanna Sheen
Brown pearlised  card stock
Backing paper I have had for years, I do not normally use these colours
I had these stamps, not being a stamper I just stamped them as they were.
I added some lines to create depth
A few flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, plus some twisted stems
Gems from my box

The trees look a bit wintery, I did not want to muck things up by trying to adorn them with foliage

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling I really do appreciate you visiting and leaving all your lovely comments

"An Order For Hazel"

Good Morning Blog friends, welcome to my little corner of Blogland.   I love having you visit and leaving all your lovely comments, thank you very much they really mean a lot.   Till I started my Blog I lived in my own wee crafting world.   I did not realise the great wealth of fantastic talent that is out there.    Some of the creations I have come across are just stunning and so very clever, the talent out there is immense.
Nothing to clever from me today, the girl that got this card is very clever.  As I have mentioned Hazel is a Nanny, the girl who got this card (Lucy) was a charge of Hazel`s plus her other siblings.  Hazel worked with the family till they all went off to Secondary School. The family still keep in touch and Hazel is invited to all the special occasions that happen in the family.   Lucy is now at University and has done really well.  This was a card to Congratulate her on how well she had done and also to celebrate her Birthday.

Base Card 8 x 8 from Joanna Sheen
Backing Papers from Rob Adams Gingham, Polka Dot, Check and Tartan Cd
Image from Mo`s Digital Pencil
Coloured with Copics
Ribbon and charms from my stash
Flower made up from Freebie pack with an order at Wild Orchid Crafts
When finished I felt it still needed something so I did some faux stitching

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by, I really appreciate it

"Pearls & Bows"

Good Morning welcome to my Blog.  So glad you have stopped by, I hope you will stay a while, if you have time please leave a message so that I know you were here.
Hazel took two leaps forward yesterday.  She went to see her Consutalnt who she has been under during her Operation and Treatments and got a good report.  She has not to go back for 6 months, I am so happy.  She also started back at work full time yesterday.  Hazel is a Professional Nanny to two girls 10 and 8.  She is at their house every morning at 7.15am to let the parents get off to work.  They are both Medical Consultants one in Edinburgh and the other in Dundee.  Although Hazel gets  3-4 hours off in the middle of the day some evenings she does not get home till 7pm. she takes these girls to their activities and feeds them.  If one of the parent is home early Hazel gets away but they are both so busy it is not always possible for them to be home that early.
Nothing much happening here today, mind you it is still early so you never know what might happen.
Got all the cleaning bang up to date yesterday, had all afternoon to myself so made this card.
I craft in the kitchen, when I was finished you would never have known I spent time so much time earlier cleaning the floor.............the joys of being a crafter!!!!

Base card 8 X 6 Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion
Pale pink Co-ordinations also from Crafters Companion
Backing paper a Nit Wit download that was in my Bit Box

I cut 2 Spellbinder Hearts/Baubles the large one in the pale pink Co-ordinations
Medium one from a piece of cream card

That`s it for today

"Birthday Tag"

Good Morning Blog friends, well here we are at the start of yet another week.  Wonder if this one will last any longer than the last one.  Is is just me or are the weeks getting shorter??.....................!!
Thank you for taking time to call in, I love to have you visit and leave all your lovely comments.

This is cleaning day here and it has to be done.  I strip the bed, do all the cleaning, every corner right through the house on a Monday, then on Friday I just give a quick clean for over the weekend.    Last Friday I did not get it all done, I went to meet Hazel, far more important than house cleaning.   Not all done Friday then the boys being here most of  the weekend there seems to be crumbs and bits all over the place, today it has to be done.

Today`s card is one I made for a friend for her birthday cross between a card and a Tag.
It does open like a card, knowing my friend I thought she might want to hang it up.

Base card 4 x 6 white card
I cut out two borders in white card using Spellbinder Border Dies
A piece of white lace I threaded pink ribbon through
Hanging loop and bow same pink ribbon from my Ribbon Box
Flowers cut with Bitty Blossom Die
Leaves Crealies Die from Joanna Sheen

That`s it for today, off to get that cleaning done
Thank you so much for stopping here for a while I really do appreciate it

Yep! if they don`t have mum or dad, Grandpa is the next best bet.  Notice I said Grandpa and not Granny!!!   I love these boys to bits but it is definitely Grandpa that`s the winner in this house, till it comes to feeding time..................
