"Baby Girl Card"

Hello Blog friends, I hope you are all safe and dry.  This weather is shocking, when will it end???  We were very lucky yesterday the sun was shining, but goodness knows what we will get today.  We went along to Forfar yesterday morning to do some shopping and there was LOTS of snow on the hills in the distance.  Just hope it all stays in the distance..
Welcome to my little creative corner, love to have you visit.  Thank you so much for continuing to pop in and leave your lovely comments.  What amazes me about this Blogland business is the amount of people who actually call in to see me but never leave a comment.  Not that I am looking for them all to comment but I would really love to know who the actually are...................Curiosity killed the cat so maybe I better just shut up!!!!
I did not do much crafting yesterday, actually did not do much of anything to honest.  By the time I got all the shopping put away (a job I hate with a passion) I could not be bothered doing anything. However this morning, Casserole in the oven, Pot of Soup on the hob, Ironing done. Off to take up the hems of two pairs of trousers for John, really must get them done.

Today`s card is one I did for my friend Elaine`s daughter and her husband when their baby Mia was born in July.  I posted this back in July when I first started my Blog and it got just one comment.  I thought I would show it again, it seems to have been all baby boy cards that I have had to do lately.

Base card approx 5 x 7
Backing paper from a Crafty Jak`s Cd that I have had for years
Pink card punched using a Martha Stewart Punch.
Ribbon from my box threaded threw the holes
The Dress, Hat and Bunny are all Die cuts from Dianne`s Die Cuts
Sentiment done on the computer.

That`s it for today.
Hopefully I will get something new to show you tomorrow
Thank you for calling in today I really appreciate it

"Happy Birthday Jackie"

Hello there Blog friends.  Well what about this terrible weather.  I really do not think any of us has escaped it.  I hope you are all safe and dry in your homes.  I feel so sorry for anyone who has their house flooded.  Can you imagine the mess and devastation, it is bad enough when the Washing Machine leaks
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my creations, makes the mess in the kitchen all worth while.  I did take a photograph yesterday to let you see the mess but it was way out of focus.  By the time I downloaded it on here everything was tidy so could not take another one.

Today`s card is Hazel`s card for our sister Jackie, her birthday is in a couple of weeks.  I still have to make mine, will have to think about that one.  We have another sister Fiona,  Hazel, Fiona and I have have gone together and bought Jackie a very expensive Designer handbag.  We were really stuck, Jackie is very, very fussy to say the least.   She had given Hazel and I a handbag for our 60th Birthdays, we thought why not give her a nice bag.    We knew it would have to be special, so we have bought it between us.   Gosh!! after what we spent we really hope she likes it.

Base card approx 6 x 6 Centura Pearl
Lilac card embossed using am 8 x 8 Folder from Crafter`s Companion
White card cut using a Heartfelt Die
I got this Die from John and Audrey last year as part of my Christmas
Ribbon from the Ribbon Box and a Creative Expressions Dazzler
Sentiment done on computer
A few pearls

Thats it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it

Little Box for "Pearl"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well.  I really enjoy when you call in and have a look at what I have been up to.  I also love when I pop over to your "Crafty Corners" and see all the wonderful creations. What a wealth of talent is out there.

My project today is a little box I made for my friend Pearl. It was her birthday yesterday, we always just give each other little gifts.   I got a lovey tub of Winter Pansies for my birthday which are growing nicely at my front door for all to see.
The "Rose" on the top of the box was an experiment using Watercolour Paper.  I though it might me a bit too thick but in actual fact it made quite a nice Rose.

u

I made the box deep enough to take 4 little Bath fizzers, Pearl loves to soak in the bath and read a book.

Box made with white card
Spellbinder Lacy Square Die to cut the top and bottom
American Seam Binding which I died using Distress inks
A few pearls for Pearl..............!!.

The Seam Binding was some I had died for another project.  I used what was left on the top of the box.  Then I thought I would put some one the side.  Well I tried and tried but could I get the second lot as pale as the first ......no! no chance.

That`s it for today
Thank you for visiting, I really do appreciate you taking time to call in

"From the Project Book" almost

Good Morning friends, thank you for taking time to pop into my little corner of Blogland.  I really enjoy when you visit.  Please leave a message good or bad,  that way I know you were here.  I can then pop over to your work space and see what you have been up to.
Ok!! I have had a few wee comments asking when I would be doing the next Project in the new Project Book from Creative Expressions.  Have you got yours yet??? a great book beautifully presented well worth the £4.99.
I had a look through the book again and found another of Sue Wilson`s projects that I liked.  Sue used a beautiful stamped image in the centre of her creation.  I hunted  amongst the stamps that I have but could not find one that filled the space, or that I really liked.   Oh! Yes I had done all the cutting bit before I went looking for the stamp.  If I had thought I could have gone one Die down and made the space smaller. But Hey! Ho! that`s me to a "T" wade in there and think later.

Anyway here is my attempt, I actually decided to make it into a Christmas Card for John and Audrey.  I am not making and sending many cards this year.  I am donating the money for the card and the Postage to the Charities Hazel and I have been Fund Raising for.   Of course there are some that I "have" to make.  Other than one I did for an order last week this is my very first Christmas card for this house.

Finished card is approx 7 x 9 all done in the Milk Card Sue uses
Matt edged with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl drops
Spellbinder Grand M-Bossiblity Folder (Garden Lattice)
Spellbinder Decorative Labels Eight Die Set
Spellbinder Poinsettia Die Set
Spellbinder Ribbon Banners LG
A few Pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiment done on computer

The base of this is similar to the project in the book but that is as far as it goes.
I used the idea then did my own thing.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by and remember leave a message I would really appreciate that.

"Pink Gift Bag"

Hello Blog friends, how are you all today? all well I hope.  Welcome to my little corner of Blogland where I love to have you pop in.  Also welcome to my newest follower, thank you very much for joining us. I hope you enjoy your visit, if you have, please leave a little message so I know you were here.  If you do that I can link back, have a browse at what you are up to.

Today`s Project I am going to enter into the "In The Pink Challenge"
Punches and/or Dies. it does not have to be a card.
http://inthepinkchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

All the Dies I have used are Spellbinder
Two sheets of 12 x 12 Double sided Card
Papers for this project are:-
Tilda Flower Garden by Panduro
The biggest Die from Grand Labels 1
The biggest Die from Classic Circles Die to cut the handles
Blossom Five Die
Foliage Die
I usually make the Roses from the left over bits, from the bag.   I felt the pattern of the "Bag" was a little busy so decided to use  "spotty" card.  The Turquoise roses are made using and showing the inside pattern of the bag.
There are tutorials on my Blog showing how to make the "Roses" and one to make the "Bag"

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it

"Happy 90th Birthday"

Good Morning all, glad to have you pop in.  Thank you for calling by and leaving all your wonderful comments.  It makes it so much more fun to pick ones self up and keep crafting.
I have found my "Get up and Go"  so back to normal.   Although John say`s that`s impossible because I was not normal before................see what I have to put up with!!!!   He knows I am better, the kitchen is messy again.   I keep telling him....."Creativity is MESSY and I am very Creative"  have to tell him something,.  That`s my excuse for the messy kitchen and I am sticking to it.   He really does not mind thank goodness for that.
Once I get the house done we are off to fill the cupboards again, run out of Cheese, Bread, Milk, and Pizzas......................the boys were here!!!!!

Today`s card is for my Old Lady in the village.  She phones me when she needs a card, tells me the kind of thing she wants and John delivers it when he collects the paper.  Mind you sometimes I get a call at 9am and she needs the card to give to Lawrence the Post Man at 12.30.  Luckily she never needs anything too fancy.

Base card Centura Pearl 5 x 7 approx
White card embossed with Spellbinder Folder
Image from one of Joanna Sheens CDs
The image was in the Image Box, I found it when I was looking for the baby one for Friday`s card so I don`t know which CD it is from
I popped a few stickle drops on the rose and leaves
Sentiment done on the computer
I did the wiggly edge round the image as I felt it looked a bit lost

Hopefully I can get something else done from the Project Book later today.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really do appreciate it

"My first from the Project Book"

Good Sunday Morning Blog Friends, thank you for calling by today.  If you get time please leave a message so I know you were here.  That way I can have a look at what you have been doing.........nosey or what!!!!  I find you can learn so much by looking what other Bloggers have done or are doing.
I have mentioned that Thomas and Robert go to a tiny village school, only 20 pupils.  Their Head Teacher Carol is Retiring at Christmas.  She is on fase down so is only in school 3 days a week at the moment.  They are to share a Head Teach with another village school a few miles along the road.  She is doing the other 2 days at the school to get to know the children.  The community put on a party for her last night.  The boys are here with us till later this morning, no children at the party.   The children are having a party for her nearer Christmas, that will be just the school children and parents.

Today`s card I made for Carol, John and Audrey took it along to the party to give to her.
I have taken the inspiration for the card from the very first project in the Project Book from Creative Expressions.  Sue Wilson has a few cards in the book and as you can see this is a take on one of hers...........no mistaking that!!!
I have had to do my "Own Thing" for bits.  I did not have the "NestaBling" she used I just did some Cosmic Shimmer Pearls, would you believe I had no White Embossing Powder so I used Silver.  I also edged the flowers as I felt it all just too white for me.  So it is not a "Copy" it is my version of the card.

That`s it for today, I have two boys to get breakfast for.
Thank you for visiting me I really appreciate it.

Patricia
