"Truffle & Tablet filled Box"

Good Morning Blog friends, a quick post, the boys are busy watching the telly.   We have had the boys all night, Mummy and Daddy were at an Evening Wedding Reception.    They will be here for the boys some time later this morning, they have things on.
Thank you for popping in to visit today.  This is one of my Boxes that I have filled with a selection of the Truffles and Tablet.  This is an Origami Box that Christine (Christine`s Cards & Crafts)  reminded me of a few weeks ago. The Tutorial can be found at card-making-magic.com if you click on Video Tutorials scroll right to the bottom of the choices it is there.

A few of you very asking if the Truffles would keep till Christmas.........yes! if you keep them in an airtight box and keep them in a cool place.   They are so quick and easy to make if you  are unsure just wait till nearer the time.  I can make Truffles and keep them John is not keen on them.  The Tablet is a different story I have to hide what I need to use for gifts.  John has managed to eat his way way though a fair amount of that lot I made the other day.  I do make a few lots of Tablet so no worries really.
I do the boxes up with cellophane and a nice big bow, for handing over.

Box made from one sheet of double sided Card from the Tilda Flower Garden Paper Stack.
Spellbinder Blossom Five Die for the Roses
Spellbinder Foliage Die for the leaves
Spellbinder Les Papillions Die for the Butterflies
Ribbon, Lace and Pearls from my stash

Once you get the hang of making these boxes I feel they make a very pretty box for gifting

That`s it for today
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate it

Ooops! almost forgot;-
Was out with Hazel yesterday  She has asked me to tell you all that she loves visiting all your  Blogs to see what you are all up to.
Hazel only has a  Blog so she can comment, she can not receive your messages back.
I think we will have to spend some time together over the Christmas Holidays to get that sorted out.  I am hopeless on the Computer,  I know I have my Blog up and running, I can assure you that is a sheer and utter "Miracle"

"Truffle Receipe"

Good Morning Blog Friends, WOW!! I had a really great sleep again last night.  Anyone struggling with sleep get out there and get a "Memory Foam Mattress" better than any pills. potions, or milky drinks.
Thank you for calling by today.   Oh! I Nearly for got to welcome my newest follower, Carol Yates.  Thank you for joining us, I really hope you enjoy visiting and get some inspiration along the way.
I was busy yesterday with a few things but thought I would give the recipe for the Truffles.  They are so easy to make.  They go down a treat with my friends and neighbours,  I was asked the other day if I would be doing them again this year.

TRUFFLES
24 Digestive Biscuits (I just use own brand ones)
1 Tin of Carnation Condensed Milk
2 Good tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
2 ozs Coconut
1 and 1/2  ozs of melted Marg

Finely crush biscuits, (I do this in my Food Processor) put into a bowl, add all the other ingredients and mix really well.  I also add a small glass of Baileys.
Once you have the mixture mixed really well, roll into balls and toss in either:-  Chocolate stands or coconut.
Place in very small paper cases.................that`s you done!!!!  Now you have to admit that`s easy.  Pop them in nice hand made Boxes, or bags you have the perfect little gift

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it

"Yesterdays Makes"

Good Morning Blog friends, how are you all today? well I hope.  Thank you for continuing to call in to see what I have been up to.  I really enjoy having you here, also popping over to your Blogs to see what you have been doing.
Wow! things have been busy here.  Tuesday after I did my very successful talk at the Ladies Club, I came home, John said we would have lunch then go to Blaigowrie  (our nearest biggish town although still very small) to the Bed Shop and get a new Memory Foam Mattress.  I have not been sleeping very well, he felt that might be the answer.  Our bed was only 4 years old, however off we went to see what they had.  OMW! have you seen the price of some of these mattresses????  We have bought quite a few things from the shop.  Andy who owns the shop is excellent, always willing to give you the best price for Top Quality goods.   We had a choice of 3 mattresses in our price range, we chose one and Andy said he would drop it down to us when he closed up.  He had some paperwork to do so would be about 6.45.  On the way home we discussed putting the mattress from our bed which was a top grade one on the guest bed ......... you can see what is coming here!!!!  OK guest bed stripped and bedding in the washing machine, the boys had slept there a couple of times.  Could not put used bedding back on the bed.  Stripped our bed, bundled that in the utility room, that would be the next load to go on.  Swapped our mattress to the guest bed and got it made up...... phew!!!! hard work that.  Left the mattress off the guest bed Andy was to dispose of that.............When I looked at it, it was like new, we have had a few guests and the boys sleep on that bed but it is not old.  Isobel across the road told me a few weeks ago she would have to get a new bed for her spare room soon.  She now has the mattress and is over the moon.  Andy arrived, brought in the new mattress, while he and John chatted I got busy making up the bed.  Tell you what I had a great sleep Tuesday night but I don`t know if I was so blooming tired after all that work or if it was the new mattress.  I did sleep well again last night so maybe John was right!!!!

No card or paper project today, I made some of my "sweet things" yesterday.

Big pot of "Tablet" all my "Scottish Friends" will know exactly what this is.  I have never seen this in England and I know when any of our English friends come up they love it but say you don`t get this down south.  Your nearest would be Fudge but to me it is nothing like it.  Fudge is soft this is harder, anyway it is full of sugar but Mmmmm!! yummy!!!

Next lot "Truffles" I made 60 of these.  I bag some of each, put them in the Gift Bags or Gift Boxes for my friends and neighbours.  Hazel told me that I should cut back on the Baileys that I put in the Truffles...................  Oh! Hazel you have to taste the flavour..................I do not drink but I do like to taste the flavours I use in things.
Now the biggest thing of all is to get them bagged up so that "some people don`t eat them".  Once John, John Jnr. Audrey and the boys know Granny has been making these, I actually have to hide them if they are not bagged up.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it

"Happy Birthday"

Here we are again Blog friends another day in Bologland.   I hope you are all dry, safe and well.
I say this almost every day but I really do appreciate you calling by and leaving such lovely comments on my work.  I love to "Play with paper" showing you what I create makes it fun.  I like to pop over to see what you guys are up to, it gives me inspirations in times of need.
Yesterday was an "Up and out Early day"  boys off to school, got home had some breakfast and promptly broke a front tooth..................!!!!  Phoned the Dentist, luckily she had just had a cancellation.  So tooth fixed and looking good again, that`s the tooth not me.......................
Today I am off to give a talk to a Ladies Club.  I have done this for a few years now always just about this time.  I have done the Fancy Parcel Wrapping, Card Making, etc:- this time they want to see how I make the Beaded Heart Pendants.  Everything ready to be lifted when I go, but bet your Bottom Dollar I will have forgotten something.

Today`s card is not for anyone in particular, I could even change the sentiment if necessary.

Base card Centura Pearl approx 5 x 7
Patterned paper/card from "Tilda" Paper Stack Autumn Lilac pierced round the edge
Reverse side of the previous paper/card
Doily using a Cheery Lynn Die
Labels Die, sentiment cut with a Deckle Edge Die
American Seam Binding died using Distress Inks
Under the Ribbon is a border cut using Edgeabillity Dies
Pearl from my stash

I might have to have a couple of days off to get all myself up to date
This up and out in the morning before all my chores are done fairly interferes with my free time later in the day.
I also will have to start thinking about making some Homemade Sweets for Christmas.
I do a mixture of things, pop then in cello bags then into either a Handmade Gift Bag or Box for some of my friend and neighbours.

That`s it for today
I thank you for stopping by I really love it when you do that and leave a message so I know you were here.

"Another Baby Card"

Hello their friends, I am so happy you have stopped at my little "Creative Corner".    I love to share so I hope you get a little inspiration while you visit.
A very quick post today, busy, busy.  I am off along to John and Audrey`s to look after the boys and pop them along to school.  John and Audrey only have one car today, Mummy is on a Midwifery Course thing in Dundee.   Daddy is off through to  Edinburgh this morning for a meeting..  They will both have to be out of the house for 7.30am. so Granny to the rescue.

Today`s card  is one of the collection I did for Hazel.  They had to be flattish for posting, but I have tried to give the impression of depth.
It looks rather pale, it is much darker in real life, I think the light above the work surface must have been on when I photographed it.

Base card 6 x 6 from a pack I got at the Hobbycraft Show in Glasgow.
Backing paper from Rob Adams Gingham and Polka Dot paper CD
Spellbinder Dies used for the layers
Stamp from LOTV (I think).  Coloured with Promakers
Sentiment done on the computer

That`s it for today.
Thank you for visiting I really appreciate it

"Floral Fancy"

Good Morning Blog friends, Thank you for continuing to stop and visit my creative corner.  I love to share and hope you get some inspiration.
Could not sleep Friday/ Saturday, was up early got almost everything done before lunch so had all afternoon to "Play".  WOW! what a mess the kitchen was in.   Hazel phoned, we had a chat, I told her that if I went out and left the door open no burglar would bother to come in.  They would have taken one look and thought someone had beaten them to it...................!!!   It does not take me long to tidy up thank goodness.  I have a section of the kitchen cupboards that house a lot of my Crafty Stuff, once that`s away and the floor is swept it`s fine again.

Today`s card is one of my yesterday`s creations, a few bits from the Bit Box plus few Die cut bits.

Base card an 8 x 8  bought at Hobbycraft Glasgow
Pink Patterned card from a Tilda Paper Stack (Autumn Lilac)
White card cut with Spellbinder Grand Scalloped Dies
Next layer is reverse side of the first card layer
White card embossed with embossing folder from Crafters Companion
Spellbinder Fancy Oval Dies for the centre piece
I cut one in white and one in pink.  I cut the pink in half to stretch it to give me the effect of a double layer
Organza Ribbon from my Ribbon Box
Couple of sick pins and pearls from my stash
I very lightly distressed the edges of the patterned card

In the Tilda Paper Stacks the sheets are all double sided.  You get some nice bits like tags, sentiments and embellishments, if you don`t want to use these the other side is patterned, you can use that.    The tags and sentiments are not Die cut so I just had a look till I found the Roses that fitted the Die I had.   They call it a paper stack but in actual fact it is really card approx 240gsm.  The Tilda "Autumn Lilac" is a very pale Stack and I would not buy this one again.  I have the Tilda "Flower Garden" Paper Stack and I love the patterns in that one.  I have made a lot of my Gift Bags using "Flower Garden" card.   I will buy that again.

That`s it for today
Thank you  for calling by I really appreciate it
