"Mother`s Day Card"

Hello Blog friends, welcome to my wee corner of Blogland.
Well!! back to winter again, ankle deep in the white stuff here once more.   Oh! Man! it was so, so cold.    Was coming back from Perth about lunch time today, the sun was shining the hills are thick with snow, it was a stunningly beautiful sight.
Thank you so much for popping in today, I love to have you come and visit.  I often wish these visits were for real so that we could just sit, have a cuppa and a good old chat.
Never mind Hazel, Wilma (Scottish Crafter) and I are meeting to go up to Inverness on the 23rd March to meet Kate (Cullisocks) Hazel and I are rather excited.   I am sure Wilma is as well, we communicate with Wilma via e-mail, of course that is a little different from actually chatting

Hazel and I lost our Mum to Cancer when we were 22 and 19 so no one to send a Mother`s Day card to.  However I did make and enter this one into a competition so thought I would show it.
I will also enter it into:- http://inthepinkchallenge.blogspot.co.uk
Their challenge for this 2 weeks is A Mothers Day Card.

Base card a pre-scored  8x8 scalloped edged card
Pale Pink Core-dinations
Darker pink Core-dinations
Striped paper from one of my Tilda Paper Stacks
Roses and Bird paper the reverse of the Striped
Roses made from a combination of the papers cut using SB Blossom Five Dies
Leaves SB and Crealie  Dies
Computer generated greeting cut and mounted on a SB Tag Die

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate you taking time to comment, I love reading them all

Patricia   xx

  1. Hello Patricia. What a fabulous card. I,m sure your Mum would have loved a Card like this, and been so proud of you both for the work that you do. You asked about the glass nylons Patricia. They were an American idea, and were called glad because they were shiny. Hugs Rita xx

I too miss doing something for Mothers Day for my own mum, but this year I enjoyed making cards for other people's mums, it sort of comforted me. Good luck with the challenge, Kate x

  9. Morning Patricia, Your Mothers Day card is stunning, I love your paper and the corsage of flowers and foliage is stunning, your Mum would have been delighted with this 'work of Art'. I miss my Mum every day and think of her every day, and I was in bits on Sunday, I don't know why, but this year seemed to be worse than others.
Wouldn't it be fantastic, like you said, for us all to be together having a chat and a cup of tea together. Have a brilliant meet-up in Inverness.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
