Thank You

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and looking forward to another new week.
Oh! My! Goodness they are passing very quickly are they not??
Thank you for popping in to see me today, I love that you take time to do that .  I love when you leave comments it makes my day.

Well we got to Harrogate, through so many changes of weather.  Beautiful sunshine with the hills thick with snow when we left here.  We went though snow, rain, more sunshine, more snow till we eventually got there and guess what .........yep!!! raining.  Oh! Well! that`s what happens in this country I suppose we just have to accept it.
Went to the Show on Saturday morning,  not too impressed but I am so used to going to SECC Glasgow where it is so much bigger and a far more diverse selection of crafts.  I did not stay too long, bought a few things.....obviously!!!!
Did not spend a fraction of what I usually spend in Glasgow.  That`s more pennies in the pot for going to Birmingham in November.   Did have a look about to see if I recognised any of my Bog Buddies but nope!! sorry!!!   Met up with John after he had been to see his Model Railway shop, we went off and had lunch together.
Today`s card is one of a selection of Thank You cards I did for Hazel.

Base card done using SP Amazing Squares Die Set
I used the "WHOLE" 7 dies then removed the bits I did not want to use
I stamped a Stamping Up sentiment cut it out using one of the smaller Labels One dies
Bow of American Seam Binding
Pearl to finish off

The Idea for the card is a design on Amazing Paper Grace

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it

  4. Lovely delicate card Patricia. Beautiful dies! Glad you had a safe journey both there and back again. I have decided against going to the NEC this time. There is a smaller papercraft fair at the National Motor Cycle Museum (very close to the NEC) on May 4th so I decided that I would go there this time and not spend so much money. But I'll be seeing you in November!!!!! Christine xx

  9. Good Morning Patricia,
Glad you got home safely, compared to the NEC, Harrogate is smaller but easier on the purse, lol.
Thought I saw a touch of 'Becca' in one or two of your designs, lovely card.

  10. Morning Patricia, Gorgeous card, a fantastic 'Thank You'. Can I ask, please - how have you joined the die-cut front to the die-cut back ??
I have just bought Becca's Bow Maker, so will hopefully be making lots of bows ha ha.
Glad you had a good time at the Show, although it's a bit deflating when you expect more than what you get. I was like that last year when I visited the Leeds Show.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

    1. The finished card is approx 4 x 4 I cut a piece of card approx 4 x 6
Fold at 4 x 4 giving 2 inches of an overhang. I place the dies slightly "off" the fold and cut the double thickness giving you a hinge at the top of the card. I then add a 4 x 4 piece to the back and front of this trapping the 2 inch piece between. That then gives you the back of your card.
I hope you understand, easy to do but explain that`s a whole different Ball Game.

  13. Beautiful card, Patricia! I love that die...one of my favourites, and such a pretty central part, too, with your sentiment and bow.
I completely forgot about Harrogate this year, I wanted to go. But with all that's been going on I simply forgot.

  19. Lovely card Patricia - know what you mean about the SECC - it certainly wasn't up to its usual standard this time and I spent much less than I expected too although did get a couple of things I was after so not all bad!

You have created a beautiful card too.
So sad we missed each other, I must have looked at every woman's chest at the show...funny woman I am!! I was looking for your Pendant....lol
The show was very lacking in stalls this time, I reckon about 20 were missing at least....Weather maybe! as lots come from down south. I still managed to spend £200...gulp!

    Huge Hugs Mau xx
