"Not happy with this one"

Hello and welcome to my little corner of Blogland.
Thank you so much for continuing to support me on my crafty journey.
Unfortunately today you might take one look and decide not to bother coming back.  I really do not know what happened!!!!  I had an idea in my head BUT once I transfered it to card it is nothing like I imagined!!!
Never mind tomorrow might be better..................certainly hope so.

Base card approx 5 x 7
Pink Card Stock
White card stock embossed with a music embossing folder and distressed round the edges
I Die Cut old cereal packet, to give me a thickish frame.   Embossed it with WOW embossing Powder.  Did not like the result but Hey! Ho! you cant win them all.  I cut this in half so I could get it to show round my Die Cut image
Used the same Die to cut my LOTV image of Bags
Threaded some ribbon to cover where I had cut the embossed Die Cut
Computer generated sentiment and a few pearls to finish off
That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate that you take time to so that.
Will try to have something better for tomorrow.  I hope to have a "whole day at home" well thats the way it looks at the moment!!!!
Till next time
Huga

  4. Hi Patricia
And there was everyone telling me not to be so hard on myself the other day!
I must admit its a different style to your usual but we all have to try something different now and again.
    Best wishes.

  7. Morning Patricia! Your card is different to your usual style but I agree with those before me that you are being way to critical of yourself. It's a super card, the handbags are really cute and I really like the embossed background. But we are our own worst critics, I've lost count of the cards I've spent hours making and then discarded! 8. Morning Patricia,

Your card is beautiful, handbags galore, love the use of the die and great use of card for background and embossing.

Hope you do get your whole day to yourself, usually if I get one of those days, very rare, I usually have a thousand and one jobs to do so never get chance to craft, which of course what I would really like to do lol!

    Love & Hugs

  9. Morning Patricia, I think you must be looking through different 'eyes', I know it is different to your usual, but it is equally as beautiful, loving the bags theme, and the sentiment is great, we all like bags and shoes. Don't be so hard on yourself.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  13. Hi Patricia,

Think this card would be perfect for a teenager, very pretty. I hate cereals but husband has them every morning, but guess what, now I love the packets!!!!

    Much love,

  14. The problem with us crafters is we are always very critical of our own work but if another crafter did the same you would think it was fine and see the work and thought that had gone into it xx I think it is very nice and wouldn't be disappointed to receive a card like this xx a change from your usual but they a change is as good as a rest xx luv the emboss folder - I have this one and I have got it out with a view to using on my Christmas cards but as of yet apart from the charity cards I have only made one - so I will start to panic once Sunday is here cos then I will really realise how close it is getting xx arrgghh!! xx GailT xx

  15. Hello Patricia, nothing wrong at all with your card, I think it's lovely, but I know what you mean, your idea doesn't quite transpose from brain to craft mat. We are our own worst critics.
have a lovely day, hugs Kate X

  16. We are our own worst critics, that is so true! I think your card is lovely, those handbags are so pretty and I love the die cuts you have used. Not your usual style but I do like it very much. Hugs, Anne x

  17. Hi Patricia,
I know that feeling well, and all us crafty peeps do, but the majority seems to think it lovely so why worry. Not your usual design , but we all try something different sometimes, and we are our own worst critics. Love the bags and the embossing. I must admit to not liking the distressed edges, but that's me and others really like that kind of thing, and if we all liked the same the world would be a funny old boring place.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  18. Hi Patricia I think your card has worked really well, I think when we get an idea in our head and it doesn't work to plan then we think its rubbish and can't see how good it actually looks! Susan x

  19. Great ideas don't always go to plan Patricia that's how we learn and move on. Great use of dies but I must be honest and say I'm with you, I much prefer today's cards. Your floral arrangements are fabulous and have me very envious.....I always have great difficulty creating them.
    Happy crafting, hugs Erika.
