"A Mixture Here"

Hello how are you all?? keeping warm and managing to craft I hope.
Thank you for taking time to call by, I love to have your here in my little corner of Creativity.
The snow started this morning at 8.45 approx and has continued off and on since.  It is quite deep now, the 4x4 is parked inside the gates rather than at the house where we can stuck!!!!  I can look out one minute and it is bright with the sun actually shining.   Look again and cant see in front of me for the Blooming Snow!!!!!
Nothing else for it but to craft.......................how wonderful.
Did any of you get a M&S Christmas card Black Die Cut over A Gold Glitter background??
I was going through the cards for recycling and spotted it.   Mmmm! it would make a great Die for Spellbinder to create something similar for this coming Christmas   Anyway, it got my little wheels going, this is what I came up with.

Base approx 6x4 Centura Pearl pierced round the edge.
Dusky Pink card that just happened to be lying around
White card
Silver Holographic card I found in a box.
No glitter I am not keen on working with glitter card
Spellbinder Botanical Swirl Die
Labels Twenty Die and Just Rite stamp
Triple bow tied on my trusty Bowmaker
A rather large Pearl Dazzler,.
Some small pearls and light distressing to cover a messy finger print on my sentiment

I am going to take that greeting off and add another cleaner one
Looked OK till I saw this photo of it ................it has to come off!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it
Keep warm Keep safe till I am back with something else

"Best Wishes"

Hello, how are you??  WOW! was it cold or what today!!!
Thank you for all your lovey comments I read each and everyone.  I try to get back to as many as I can to comment on your work . You are all so very talented, it is great to see what you are creating.  Of course us crafter`s being as we are we love to share and pass on lots of Hints and Tips, from me I thank you all................................
Met Hazel today, we had a good old chat, caught up with all the Gossip!!
We have decided we are going to Birmingham NEC for the Craft Show in November.   We are saving for our holiday in June at the moment so November it will be.

I was trawling and saw a card made using Corner Dies.  You know how it is, it makes you remember to get out the things you have.

Here is today`s experiment, this one actually worked out.  My ideas of late are filling the Paper Bin good job they go off for recycling.  I usually rescue as many "bits" as possible before disposing of what I don`t like unless it is really bad.

Base card approx 7x7 Centura Pearl pierced round the edge
A piece of Centural Pearl I had embossed,  found in my Bit Box
I placed my corners on white card to form a frame
There was one corner left, I rolled this into a cone to pop some flowers in
Once I saw it done I decided to make another two .  There are three rolled cones on this card
I put some Roses, buds and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts in each
Tied a four loop bow
I added pearls from my stash
Greeting a Just Rite stamp cut using a Spellbinder Die
I originally stamped the greeting straight onto the card , made a right mess of it.  I covered it up this way, worked out fine I think

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it
I`ll be back tomorrow with something else

"Friendship card for Pearl"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and coping with the weather.
I say this almost every day but I really do love to have you here, I am so glad you have popped in.

Nothing exciting happening here at the moment so it gives me time to "Play"  I have made a few cards today, I am actually quite happy with my wee self!!!
BUT! Oh! man! what a mess I make, all those bits out of the dies, they go everywhere.
The table we have in the kitchen is circular it opens out in the middle, we don`t use it open a lot.  I do have to keep opening it to clear out all the bits that manage to find there way in there.  It is mostly the bits from Spellbinder Lattice Dies, also the Lacy Square Die I like to use.

My card today is one I have made for my friend Pearl.
I decided to make and send her a card as often as I can just to let her know I am thinking of her.  I do text everyday and see her at least twice a week.  I feel it is nice to get something to pop on the sideboard even if it is not in your own house, helps a little I think.  The assessor has told them it will probably be the end of June beginning of July before they get back into their house.   It is still drying out, they test the walls twice a week to see how they progressing.

Base card  approx 4 x 6 Centura Pearl Card pierced round the edge
Pink card from stash cut with Spellbinder Labels Twenty Die
Pink patterned card from Tilda Flowergarden Paper Stack
Stamp from LOTV
Butterflies Spellbinder Dies

That`s it for today folks
Thank you for calling in I really do appreciate it

"Our Flower Gift"

Hello Blog friends, well do you have snow yet??
We do!! and plenty of it, went off mid morning thank goodness.  Got up at approx 6.30 and was it snowing or what!!!!   I got worried if it had stayed on all day we would have been stuck I am sure.  Cleaned out the fire, we had it on yesterday.   Even with the heating on the house seemed cold., so on went the fire.  It is great to have it on, the drawback is the cleaning it out and re-setting it in the morning.  Does not take long, 10mins at the most, it is just the thought.   Got on the wellies,  they are "pretty" ones I have to admit.  Jacket and hat on, out to get some coal and logs.  Then I decided to get the 4x4 to the road end of the drive just inside the gates.   We normally park our cars in front of the garage, two years ago when the snow came overnight to a knee deep depth we got stuck.  Even with the 4x4, now we take precautions.

OK! welcome to my little corner of Blogland,  glad to have you visit.   I do hope you enjoy your browse.
No card today, I thought I would show you the gifts of flowers we got on Saturday evening.

Last week I told you Isobel my friend and neighbour her son Rory and his girlfriend Paula got a nice new apartment to rent in a converted mill in Blairgowrie.  John and I gave them a gift of a set of cutlery, this was our "thank you"
Paula is a florist, she exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show last year and got a Highly Commended for one of her displays.  This is just a little arrangement but it is beautiful.  Just one problem!!!  it has to live in the kitchen,  John finds the smell from the flowers give him a headache.  Normally it is just Stargazer Lilies that do that, if we visit he can tell as soon as he steps in the front door if they have Lilies in the house.
I don`t mind them in the kitchen I spend lots of time in there.  I don`t have a "Craft Room! so that`s where I work.

Have you been watching the shows from USA.
I have not had much time to watch, have caught bits of a couple.  Leonie is so excited she just shouts all the time.  The things I have seen are not really for me but have enjoyed looking.

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping by I really appreciate it

"Rescued from Recycling"

Hello Blog friends, another weekend over where did it go??
Thank  you for calling in to my little corner of Blogland, glad to have you here.  If you have time please leave a comment that way I can link back to you and I can see what you are up to.
Oh! almost forgot...........Welcome to my new follower glad to have you on board, I hope you enjoy your visits.

Boys were here Friday after school till mid after noon Saturday, man!! can these boys eat!!!  I bought loads of fruit on Wednesday, more on Thursday hoping that would last me till next Wednesday............no chance.   We are so  far from shops that I always stock up.  Well guess what the bowls are nearly empty, mind you better that than sweet stuff.
I made myself a big goblet of bits and pieces of fruit that were left in one bowl.  Some Blueberries, covered with natural yogurt, chopped apple, jelly, more yogurt, chopped kiwi, jelly, more blueberries, topped with yogurt and a nice big strawberry sliced.  Oh man! it looked good ............... I was really looking forward to having that while they had Apple Pie.  The boys had their apple pie and by the time I managed to sit down to eat my dessert they were almost finished.  Their eyes lit up, they too thought it looked good.  So it was one big goblet of fruit and yogurt and "THREE" spoons.

Anyway, another story:-
I made this card.................. It was a bit different than this and I hated it.  I was so annoyed with myself I just put the whole thing in the Paper Recycling box.  John saw it and asked if I had meant to do that.  Yes! I said it is truly awful.  Nothing wrong with the concept it is the colours that are wrong he said.   Take of those bits and make them light colours and it will be fine....................so I did.  Still don`t like it but it is better than it was.  I thought I would show it to let you see I actually do make some horrible things.

Base card is 8x8
This is where it all went wrong I chose shades of Lilac card that was all too similar.
I tried to emboss the central die onto the top piece of card.
It cut through and really was not deeply embossed so I sanded it, did not like THAT!!
Pleated the ribbon added that, not great but!!................stuck it on anyway.
I had cut the central Dies in the lilac shades plus the one for the sentiment.
It was all to samey, did not like THAT!!
That`s when it went in the Recyclying.
However with John`s suggestion, I cut the large central Die in White and slightly distressed it did not look quite so bad.

To be honest it will probably go back in the recycling bin outside, face down then John will not notice  it then.

That`s it for today
Thank you very much for popping in I really appreciate it

Well folks it`s here:-   the snow, boy is is thick!! and STILL falling like fury.
I have moved the 4x4 to the road end of the drive in hope that IF we need out we will manage.
Got the coal and logs are in and "Sleeping Beauty" still sleeps on, off to get him up.
Hope you are all safe and warm
