"Snow"

Hello Blog friends, how are you all coping??
Firstly I have to thank my new Followers for joining me on my Crafting journey.   Can you believe I now have 70 Followers.   Oh! My! Goodness! when I started my Blog back in May/June 2012 I never for one minute thought that I could possibly interest so many people.   I know I am pushing my luck but I have decided that I will have some nice Blog Candy ready and waiting for when I reach that magic 100 Followers.
Thank you for taking time out of your weekend to pop in to see me, I love to read all your comments.   I keep saying this but if you leave a comment that gives me the facility to click on to your Blog if you have one.   I can then have a look at the kind of things that you get up to.   I love Blog Hopping, since my sister Hazel encouraged me to ask Santa for an iPad I enjoy it even more.   Sitting in my comfy chair, feet up, cuppa at hand ................oh! what luxury.

No card to day I thought I would show you our "Winter Wonderland" before it starts to melt.............hopefully!!!!
This was taken yesterday (Friday) in the afternoon when the snow went off for a few minutes.  Today we have a wonderful sunny day with the most beautiful blue sky, long may it continue.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it

"Cards for the Tote Bag"

Hello Blog friends, well what has the weather done with you??
With us is has been snowing very heavily since 7.30am and still falling.
Looks like we will have to dig the cars out yet AGAIN!!!!

Thank you for all your comments on my Tote Bag.  Hazel pointed out that I had done one for her some time ago and  OH! NO!! surely it was not back in 2009......................how time flies.

Today`s offering is the cards I made to go in yesterday`s Tote Bag.

4 x 4 pre-scored cards I bought ages ago
Papers from my Bit Box
All embellishments from a box I keep to pop odd dies cuts, tail ends of ribbon etc:-

Does any one else have a box where they put Die Cuts, tail ends of ribbon etc:-??
When I mentioned this to Elaine last night she said if she is not going to use it there and then, she just bins it................!!
I do not know why I bought the 4 x 4 cards.   That`s the size of card I usually cut from the bigger bits left over from projects.  Elaine says she just bins those bits of card as well...............................!!!  Oh! how wish I lived nearer her bins!!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it
Have a fantastic weekend whatever you plan to do looks like we are stuck here
Never mind every cloud has a silver lining............................plenty time for Crafting

"Pink Tote Bag"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and coping with the weather.  The forecast for this area of Perthshire overnight and tomorrow is horrendous.
We managed to get along to Forfar today, stocked up with plenty of "Fresh" meat, fruit and veg.
Ordered some more coal for next week.  We have central heating but also love the coal fire on when it is so wintery out there. Plenty of logs in the log store so we will certainly be cosy whatever they throw at us.
Thank you for popping in today, I hope you enjoy your visit.  Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Butterfly Box.  I read all your comments, of course it you leave a comment I can link to you and see what you get up to with your crafting.

I started this project on Monday, then of course Tuesday saw me having a clear out looking for "Bits" I put away "safely" then could not find them!!!....................typical, just typical.
I had lost the card and envelopes for the little cards I was making to put in the Tote Bag.
I made 6 little 4 x 4 cards from my Bit Box.  On Monday evening I sorted out all the bits I was going to use, gathered them altogether.  Decided it was rather late to start actually making up the cards, popped them at the very back of the Bit Box.  I cleared up putting everything away till Tuesday when I could not find then.  However found and all sorted.   Bag made, cards made, I made the cards as any occasion little cards to pop inside the bag.  I will also put  some stamps in the purse at the front, that way there are the cards and the stamps to post them.

Bag made using a template I found last week while looking for something entirely different.  I noticed the date printed on the sheet was 2009 that`s when I had downloaded it.  Unfortunately there was no other information.

I used a 12x12 sheet from my Tilda "Autumn Lilac" Paper stack for the bag
Pink Co-ordinations card
Some Brads from my stash
The purse is the reverse side of the card and is the pattern inside the bag.
I did some Faux stitching to finish off

Bag measures 7" wide 5" high  including the handle's it is 71/2" high
I enjoyed doing this and have made a few others that still have to be finished off.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it

"Butterfly Box"

Hello my friends, how are you all??  Well that blooming snow is very deep and STILL falling.
This weather is all so, so weird, knee deep in some parts and just a few miles away there is no snow.  If you were watching the BBC news the other day they were showing Dunkeld about 22 miles north west from here, they were getting the same as us.  Knee deep in the white stuff and falling like fury.  The fish lady came today, was not for one minute expecting her.  Knock at the door and there she was, no snow in Arbroath 25 miles east from us and on the coast...........................weird or what!!!
Thank you for popping by today and for all your lovely comments on previous posts.   I read them all and I do appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Cancelled meeting Hazel today,  I am stuck, I would have had to dig my car out.  I could have used the 4 x 4 but would not have seen where to go for the thick freezing fog.
Stayed at home and Boy! did I use my time well.  Actually it all started last night (Tuesday).  On Monday I was working with some card and papers.  I have to tiedy up every day as I craft in the kitchen/diner.  I had put these things away and could I find them....................not on your Nellie!!!
It started a "Massive" clear out.  I have Ikea Units in the spare bedroom all nicely hidden away, I am a bit of a  "Neat Freak".    I went though loads of A4 plastic boxes, things I had not used since this time last year went in a Big Box I had at hand.  No card and papers found there.....................!!!  I have a bag that I pop bits for the school in, looked in that...............................not in there............!!!
By this time it was late and almost time for bed.  Cup of tea, PJs on still thinking but still no card and papers...............................!!!  Woke at 3.32am BINGO I remembered I had popped them in my "Bit Box" so that they would be at hand for when I needed them.............................now I have forgotten what I wanted them for in the first place.........only joking!!!!
Have gone off the notion of what I wanted to use them for but I do have very tidy craft boxes, cupboards and drawers.
I am still tidying up and have loads and loads of stuff to go to the school.  Hazel is taking some for her Grandsons nursery and school.

Today`s offering is a box that I did last Thursday evening with Elaine.  She wanted to make some boxes, she went off home with 3 plus a couple that I had made.  I kept this one to finish off and decorate, finished it today.

Box made with Kraft Card 3 x 3 x 3
Papers came free with a magazine
Corners triple embossed.   They are Spellbinders but I don`t know the name of them
Butterfly is Spellbinders new Les Papillon Two cut in Kraft and Pink card
Some Pearls from my stash
I distressed the edges of the box to give it an antique look

That`s it for today
Thank you  for taking time to call in

Nearly forgot:-  I know Michelle (Happy 2 craft) comments on a lot of your Blogs.
Her Mum had a stoke on Tuesday/Wednesday and is in hospital paralysed down her right hand side.
She said she will get back to you all but does not know when.
Please keep Michelle and her mum in your thoughts

"Butterfly Magic"

Hello Blog friends, I say this a lot but I do love having you here in my little corner of Blogland.
I hope you enjoy your visits and maybe get a little bit of inspiration from what I have shown.  I know I get lots of ideas when I go off Blog Hopping.

The snow is really piling up here.  It has been on all day non stop, I just hope the blooming stuff does not freeze overnight.
Plenty food in, was running out of fruit, Isobel phoned over to ask if we needed anything.  She was going off to Forfar with her hubby to get some shopping.  Isobel a nurse had been working horrible shifts all week did not manage to get a BIG shop done.  Gave her a list of what I wanted so I will get them when she pops over in the evening.  Thought they were a bit silly when you see the conditions but Hey! Ho! they are back so no harm done.  It is wonderful to have great neighbours, living in a tiny rural community comes with benefits.

Today`s card uses the beautiful Butterfly Die from Spellbinders.
I love the effect you get, it is another one of these that does not cut right to the edge.
Really do not know why they have been designed that way.   You don`t have to but I like to cut away the bits round the edge it is much more defined that way.

Base card 5 x 7 approx
White card pierced round the edge
A piece of green patterned card
Butterfly die cut in the green card I used for base
Butterfly and flower cut out in white and mounted to give depth and contrast
Pearls from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it

"Another Corner Card"

Hello friends, how are you all coping?  Our snow is still here but at least at the moment we are managing to get out.
Thank you for  calling by and leaving all your lovely comments, makes Blogging so much more fun.
Don`t know if anyone else has found that Blogging actually makes you want to make things.  I had a couple of days during the week when I felt I could not be bothered.  Knowing that I needed something to post it made me get a move on.  Not at a fast pace I may add but I did get up and make some cards.
We were at our "Christmas Family Gathering" this afternoon, tt is always held at sister Jackie`s.  Her 50th Birthday was in December, everything was put off as they had a lot of different celebrations, between works parties nights out with friends.  We decided to delay it till today, seemed funny doing the Secret Santa in January but nice to get a little gift away from all the stuff you get at Christmas.
For a time yesterday we did not think we would manage with all the snow.  Today is was a lot wetter so no problems, I just hope it does not freeze overnight.

This is another take on the the "Corner Card" I did last week.

 Base card 6 x 6 Centura Pearl
Spellbinder corner Dies cut and mounted on white card approx 41/2 x 41/2
This mounted onto my base using foam pads for height
Three corners rolled into cones and filled with Roses
Triple Bow tied on my trusty Bow Maker
Stick Pins and Pearls from my Stash
Sentiment a Just Rite Stamp

That`s it for today
I will be back with something else tomorrow
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it
