"Little Boxes"

Hello!! I am still here, not lost without trace.
I am afraid the world caught up with me last week and I just had to get down to some serious "Housework"
Thank you for bearing with me and calling back to see what I have been up to.

Very quick post we are off out with John, Audrey and the boys for a trip to Lunan Bay............to the beach!!  They have two dogs, they love to be free to run wild along this beautiful beach.  Note to myself!!! Remember your camera........................
It is a beautiful day if extremely cold, but Hey! Ho! they sky is blue, the sun is shining and there is actually a heat in the sun.
Yesterday I had a little time to play, made some boxes for my Cabinet at the Tearoom.  These are one of the best sellers.  The Pendants, brooches and Big Bead Necklaces then boxes.  Lagging behind are cards.  I have sold quite a few but nothing in comparison with the rest.
I know my cards are very dimensional, I think people buy them if they are handing them over.  If they have to be posted they think about the cost of the postage.  I do keep the boxes for the cards the size to post as large letter.

Here are the boxes I made yesterday:-

I have made them different shapes and sizes.

This is the top of the tall box.
I was quite pleased that I could use this pretty button for the top.
I have had it in my box for ages, keep looking at it saying "I will be able to use this some day"
The tops for the boxes are all made using SB Dies, from various sets.

That`s it for today
Thank you once again for calling by I really do appreciate it

Gingham, Spots & Roses

Hello folks, I hope the sun shone for you today.  It did here, in the sun there was "Heat" it was fantastic, I truly think Spring might be round the corner.
Thank you so much for taking time to visit me today.  I enjoy having you here, love all your comments, I read them all.
I popped into see Elaine in the Tearoom on my way back from Perth, ended up working for a couple of hours.   They were run of their feet, I am so pleased for them but also worried about my friend, Elaine looks so tired.  They have a 17 year old school girl in to help from 11am till 3pm which is easing the load.  They cannot afford to "employ" someone, apart from the wages there are so many rules, regulations and other things that come into employing a person.
I have in my Diary that I am in "full time" helping Elaine on a Saturday in a couple of weeks time.  I certainly will have to wear more sensible footwear that day.  I had boots with quite a high heel on today and by great my feet were sore by the time I had finished.

My card today is well within my comfort zone once again.  As you all know I love making flowers for my cards, that`s what makes me happy.

Base card is 7 x 5 cream card stock
Blue spot and yellow gingham paper printed from a Rob Adams CD
I covered the card with blue spot paper
Mounted a piece of the gingham onto card the same as the base card to fit along the middle
I made the roses and rose buds using SB Blossom Five Die and 160gsm cream paper/card
I very lightly dusted the edges of the roses with Aged  Mahogany distress ink
Leaves cut from the spot paper using SB Foliage die, Crealies Die and a Punch for the fern type leaves.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it

"Daisies this Time"

Hello and welcome to my little corner of creativity.
Thank you for taking the time to pop in and leave a comment, I love to read them all.

How is the snow with you???  John and I popped into Dundee this morning and Oh! Wow! there was still plenty of snow on the way in.  Here in our wee village most of the snow has gone although there is still "Plenty" on the hills.  No snow in Dundee, being on the water it never really lies there.
We had another nice day even if we did not see the sun.

Our neighbour farmer was burning rubbish when we got back..................the house was full of that horrible burning smell..... Yuk!!!! I can still smell it!!!!!   We had left a couple of windows slightly open for some fresh air.  Glad I did not hang out any washing before I left.

Today`s card I made using SB Delicate Aster Dies, I have had them for ages and had never opened the packet.

Base card 5 x  7 pink card stock
A matt of Pale green card
Pink Gingham paper printed from a Rob Adams Cut.   I cut out an Oval Aperture with Classic Oval SB Die
I cut a smaller Oval from white card then made a Faux Nesstie by drawing round the out side of the same die onto dark green card and cut it out by hand.
Made the flowers using the gingham paper
Cut some Leaves in dark green using a Crealie Die
I cut slithers of pale green card to represent stalks on the flowers
A Bow of Organza ribbon from my Ribbon Box
A little gem in the centre of each flower and down the top right hand corner

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate your visits

Just noticed one loop of my bow is caught on the flowers, typical you never notice these things till it is too late.

"Back to my Flowers"

Hello Bog friends, 1st of April..................and yet another month gone.
Today we had a really nice day, very cold but Hey! Ho! the sun shone.  We can`t have everything can we? I am just happy to see dome sunshine.

Thank you for popping by today and leaving a comment, I read them all and appreciate that you take time to leave one.

Had time to "Play" today and I really, really enjoyed it.  Kitchen was right proper mess, all tidied, vacuumed up and looking good once again.  Oh! what I would give to have a Craft Space.

Today`s card is back to what I like doing best "Making Cards with Flowers"

Base card 5 x 7 approx Centura Pearl
Green card from stash
White card embossed with SB A4 Laittice Folder.  I very, very lightly inked this with TH Old Paper distressed ink.  It is so subtle you can hardly see it but it is quite effective.  I love using this method will be doing a lot more of this I think.
I cut a frame using SB Romantic Rectangles and Classic Rectangle Dies
Flowers SB Rose Creator and for once I refrained from making it into my style of Rose
Leaves/Foliage various Dies and a Punch
Punched Butterfly

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in to see what I have been up to, see you tomorrow

"Happy Easter"

Happy Easter Blog friends, hope you are all enjoying the break.
Thank you for your visit today and for leaving a comment.  I read them all, I really appreciate that you take the time to leave one.
Weather here has been nice and sunny over the past couple of days.  Blooming freezing but at least we know that the sun is still up there...................
We did not do much today, Audrey was working Night Shift Saturday to Sunday.  She sleeps till lunch time, I felt that she just needed time to chill with John and the boys.  We are having our Easter Dinner during the week.

Today`s card is the result of a little "play time" I managed to get.
Pendant orders all done packaged and ready to post on Tuesday.

Base card 5x7 approx is pink card from my stash
White card embossed with SB Paisley embossing folder.  I inked the folder with Distress ink "Picked Raspberry".  After I inked it I rubbed it back lightly with a soft tissue.  I had done another piece without rubbing back and it was way too dark for me.
Cut a frame using SB Dies
Made up the flower using flower heads I had.  They were from Wild Orchid Crafts I think the are Cherry Blossom.  I had loads do not know why I had bought so many.  That`s a fair few used up anyway.
A few leaves and some twirled stems, I also pooped a few straight stems out the bottom.
A triple bow of American Seam Binding and greeting to finish.

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping by, I love to have you here.
