Almost a Winner

Hello Blog friends, welcome to my little corner of Blogland once again.  Thank you for taking the time to pop into see me as often as you do,  I really appreciate it.  Welcome to any one who has come to visit for the first time, great to have you here.  If you have time please leave a little comment that way I can link back to see what you get up to.
Elaine was here last night, she has been busy phoning all the people who have asked to rent her space for "Crafting Classes".  She has set up a meeting for Tuesday and says she needs me there.  I will be doing a few Card Making Classes, it will just be fitting them all in the Diary.   Elaine has a fantastic space, a fair amount of daylight but also loads of electric light.   She wants to get as many classes up and running A.S.A.P. she is paying rent on the space so any classes will help supplement that.

My Card for today was "Almost a Winner" it came second in the Mothers Day Competition in the Making Cards Magazine.  The prizes are from Stamping Up I have won Second Prize I am so delighted.  Do not know what I have won but the fact I have won something makes me happy.  I have posted this card before when I entered it into the  "Mothers Day"  challenge at  In The Pink.

That`s it for today

Another Plain and Simple

Hello, and welcome to my little corner of creativity.   I love that you take time to come visit me and leave your lovely comments, I read them all.
Quick post today, I seem to have got so far behind with Housework that I have not had time to even change my mind today.  I have wooden floors in some of the rooms, great until there is a glimpse of brightness.  Wow! that fairly shows up the dust on the,  Mind you that makes me think of what is in the carpets!!!!  John worked in Carpets for 40 years and is so against "Hard Flooring" I get my way on most things to do with housekeeping BUT!! I have had to keep a few rooms with carpet.

Base card approx 5 x 7 Centura Pearl
You will have guessed by now that this is my favourite size of card.
I find it is big enough to get on what you want, small enough if you do not want to add very much, like today.
Again the bits are from the pile.
White card embossed using and 8x8 folder
Piece of 160gsm paper punched using a Martha Stewart border punch.  I like her punches but they do not punch good on card, I stick to 160gsm.
Leafy bits from Marianne and SB Foliage Dies
Flower made using a Spiral Blossom Die I think it is Number Two
A few pearls from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate you take the time to do that

Very Plain and Simple

Hello Blog friends, thank you for taking time to visit me and for all the lovely comments.  I read them all and really appreciate that you take time to leave them.
Welcome to my latest follower  Dot Fox..................sorry I am a bit slow on the uptake Dot.  Dot is one our many supporters, buying one of our Pendants.  I tried to link back to Dot but she does not seem to have a Blog.................. thank you for joining me in my wee corner of Blogland delighted to have you here.
Rather miserable weather today, however Hazel and I were talking to a couple of ladies while having our cuppa this morning.  They were saying that we are to get better weather from Monday.  I will believe it I when I "feel" the heat!!!!..................I am not a pessimist, far from it BUT!!!
Today`s card is Very Plain and Very Simple, again using bits left over from last weeks projects.

Base card approx 5 x 7 Centura Pearl
An embossed piece of card.  This was done using a folder I got from Crafters Companion.
Flowers cut from scraps using a SB Daisy Die
Leaves cut using SB Foliage Die
A pearl from my stash
Very simple, no sentiment as I feel it could be used for many occasions.  If I put Happy Birthday someone will want to buy it for an Anniversary or something!!

Wow! did you watch Sue Wilson`s POTD shows??  She sold out of so much in the very first hour.
Sue was wearing one of our Pendants on last nights shows.  It was one sent to her by Hazel.  Hazel was making it when Sue did a show last time.  When Hazel saw Sue`s top and the Pendant she was actually making.  It was a perfect match so she just has to send it to her.   I know it is a very simple thing but it makes Hazel and I very proud that Sue wears them.  Through Sue we have raised even more money for our cause.

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping into see what I have been up to

Three Pendants

Hello Blog friends, thank you for taking time to come visit me.  I love having you here in my little corner of Blogland.   When I go Blog Hopping I am amazed at the talent out there.  Some stunning creations, always something we can get inspiration from.
Woke this morning to a light covering of snow once again.  This is really getting to me now, when oh! when will we see "Spring"??   By late afternoon the sun was shining which was great and perked me up.  One consolation is that Hazel and I are going on holiday to the sun early this year.  We go in 7 weeks time, to Dalyan, Turkey where I used to live.   Normally we don`t go till September,  I feel I am wishing my life away just to see some strong sunshine and feel some warmth.

Here is what I have been up to recently.
More Pendants for orders that have come in.  Hazel was trawling on eBay and found some wires that we can use with our pendants.  We really only sell the actual Pendant as most people seem to have something to use to hang them on, a few have asked if we sold anything.  We have added the wire to the cost of the pendant for any who wanted one.
We are slowly running out of beads so we are not taking any special orders at the moment.  We have a few made which I will get together and post towards the end of the week.  These will be sold as seen if anyone still would like one.  Almost all the money raised is going to the Chemo Unit and the Maggies Centre.   We keep back a little money for buying beads and wire for making the Pendants.

Thank you for calling by today I really appreciate you taking the time to comment I read them all.

Three little Cards

Hello Blog friends, how are you all??  Hope you all had a good weekend.
Thank you for taking time out to come visit me here in my corner of Blogland.  I love to have you here.
We had a great day on Saturday, it was a beautiful sunny day.  Clear blue skies, freezing cold but you can wrap up against that.  John Jnr. phoned asking if we would like to go with them to Lunan Bay near Montrose.   Picnic packed from this end, we went along, met up and off we went.  Boys had to come in our car, we always have their seats in so no problem.  Gives Mum and Dad a while to themselves.  Got there, up over the sand dunes on to the beach which was actually quite busy.  Very cold walking along by the water but it was so wonderful just be out in the sun.  We had our picnic  nestled in the sand dunes near the cars where it was pleasantly warm.  A Great Day had by all.
Woke up Sunday and guess what??? Yep!! snowing again.  It did not lie but who wants snow in April where has Spring gone???  This morning when I opened the curtains it was snowing yet again.  Cleared up and we did have a rather pleasant afternoon.

This morning I started clearing away a pile of Crafty bits and pieces that had gathered over last week.  I did intend putting them in the box for the School.  When I had a look I thought mmmmm!!! I could get a few cards out of some of those bits.  Here are the cards, it is amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it.  These are just little cards that I will pop in with gifts.
I have a box that I put Die Cuts in plus little bits of embossed card that I have left over from projects. I also have a tub that I pop waste bits from some of the Dies I feel I can use.   There was nothing to do other than cut the bits to fit and put the cards together.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate that you take time to leave comments, I read them all.
