"For Michelle"

Hello Blog friends, thank you for popping in today.
Recently I have received such kind messages and comments.  I truly try to respond to every single one.  Please know I am so thankful that you take the time to comment.
My Blog follower list has reached 89 can you believe it!!!  This time last year I wondered if anyone would even find me.
My first ever comment was from Elaine (wheelers craftiness) I often wonder how she found me.  Then my friend Debbie (debbie`s card creations) she was the only one to comment for some time.   Then Boom!! after a few weeks it just took off.
When I reach 100 I will get some Crafty Goodies together to give away.   That might even happen before Christmas, we will see.

Today`s offering is for my Blog friend Michelle (Happy2craft) .  Michelle`s mum had a stroke at the beginning of the year, unfortunately she is not making the progress Michelle and the family had hope and she is still in hospital.  Michelle has been keeping in touch with Hazel and I through e-mail.  I am posting this for Michelle, she mentioned in her last e-mail that she is missing seeing some of my "Floral" creations.....................this is for you my friend.

"From This to This"

Hello my friends, thank you for calling today, I love to have you here
As you know I set myself a new rule to follow (no more long term Bit Box) I really have been sticking to it.   Every weekend I go through what I have gathered during the week.  Sort it out make simple cards to sell quite cheaply in the Tearoom.  The rest, if any goes in a box for the school, not nearly so many bits going in there now.

I had a problem with my right eye last week, not much crafting done.  However I was determined to clear away all signs of Card making before I go on holiday.    Hazel and I leave Friday morning from her house at approx 3am to get to Glasgow for our flight to Dalaman, Turkey.  We have a private pick up at the airport for the 35/45 minute drive to our little corner of Paradise in Dalyan where we will spend one week.  We love it there and will have a whole week of  doing  "not very much".
On the Wednesday evening we have been invited by friends Alan and Janet to a Fundraising Dinner where David Bellamy is Guest of Honor.  The event is to raise money for further conservation of the Turtles on the beachThere will also be an Auction, our friend Alan is to be Auctioneer Alan and Janet were great friends to John and I when we lived out in Turkey.  They had a boat, we spent lots of time with them travelling and seeing parts of Turkey that are only accessible by boat.  We have seen bits of Turkey we would never have got to by car.   Wonderful, forever memories.

Anyway enough "waffling"here is what I managed to make with some of the "left overs"
This was my bundle

These are few of the cards I made

Not too bad from "left overs"

I have decided to "stamp" little images on some of the left over bits of white card/paper rather than bin them
These stamps used really do not need colouring so that suits me fine
The Bubble Spray one I did colour but oh! so! simply
Bits of ribbon from my box and a few added embellishments................sorted!!!
The cards are approx 4 x 6

My eye is much better today, will back to normal for going away thank goodness.

Thank you for your visit today I really appreciate it

"Button & Bow"

Hello Blog friends, I truly hope those days at the weekend were not our summer!!!
Dull day here although thankfully it did not rain even if thunder could be heard over the hills.
The sun did come out in the evening which was nice to see if still rather cool out.
Today`s card is one I made after I had a play with colouring.  I like colouring but I am not that good at it.  My eye is almost back to normal not that it helped my colouring in any way!!!!.  This is a D`Arcys Digital Image I have had for quite a while.  I was looking on the computer for something else and spied the File for Digital Images ......I have loads but never seem to use them.   Another note to "me" use them when you get back from holiday.

Base card 6 x 6 white card
Backing Paper from my favourite Rob Adams CD The papers on this CD are so usable
Image coloured using Copics, very lightly distressed round the edge
I added the border under the image adding ribbon plus a Button & Bow

I have a lot to learn about colouring when I see so many wonderful cards done by all the talented people out there.  However I am quite pleased with what I have done here.

Thank you for calling by I really appreciate that you do that.
That`s it for today, see you all soon

"On your Special Day"

Hello Blog Friends, into yet another week....................where did the last one go??
The world is spinning so fast these days I am finding it hard to keep up!!!!   Maybe that`s an age thing.  Remember when we were really young and looking forward to something, it took ages to come.  Now I go to bed on Monday, waken up and it is Friday...............or is that just me??
We were at a Christening yesterday, Mia Katie, she is Elaine`s Granddaughter.  Just a very small affair but very nice indeed, a great day.   Wore dark glasses most of the time to hide my eye which is still a right proper mess.   Weather was good although nothing like it had been on Saturday.   I wore the outfit I had planned about a month ago.  During last week I was looking in the wardrobe for something else, It was so blooming cold.  What a difference in a few days.

Today`s card is Mia`s Christening Card

Base card A4 folded white card approx 8 x 6
Piece of white card embossed in a Creative Expression/Sue Wilson designed folder
3 Die cut squares using SB Marvelous Squares which I linked together
SB Butterflies cut in Pink and White
SB Crosses Die cut, layered and a little gem from my stash.  The crosses were sent to me by another great blogger....."Thank You" Jenny (Cardsrus)
A triple bow in white organza topped with a Creative Expressions Dazzler
The sentiment is a stamp.  I did add MIA to the bottom using my Calligraphy Pen
Just noticed I have taken the picture before I did that.  The card is in a box tied up with a ribbon so not undoing that now!!!!

Thank you for calling by today I really appreciate it
Hazel also says thank you for all the great comments on her "Cake"
That`s it for today
