"Boxes, Boxes and even more Boxes"

Hello and welcome to my Blog, thank you for visiting me today.   I hope you see something that appeals to you and come back soon for another look.
I can not believe it is the weekend once again.  Two Blinks ago it was only Monday.
However I am looking forward to tomorrow.  Hazel, my friend Elaine (who has the Tearoom) and myself are up early and off to Inverness to meet with Kate (culliesock).
Elaine usually comes to me on Thursday evening but did not come last night.  She was full of the cold when I saw her at lunch time.  I told her she would be better home in bed getting some TLC from her hubby.  Oh! No! she was coming to see me, Doug phoned early evening to say he had packed her off to bed.  I was so pleased to hear this.   I know that doing that she should be a lot better and able to come with us.  We have met up with Kate a couple of times, I think this will be it till we all meet to catch the plane for our weekend in Birmingham and the NEC.  We are all rather excited about it, like a lot of kids we are.
I have been very busy making BOXES for the Tearoom.  I really can not believe how they sell.  When Elaine and her Daughter opened the Tearoom they gave me a cabinet to put some of my things in. Never for one minute did I think that boxes of all shapes and sizes would sell so well.   I am delighted, I will have lots of pennies to spend in Birmingham.
Here are just three of the selection I put in yesterday.

Now to show you the tops

The boxes are made from odd sheets of card.   You know these sheets that you keep saying you will use and never do.
The roses are all made using SB Blossom Five, SB and Heartfelt Creation Foliage Dies, some ribbon from my Box.
I am looking forward to getting my nice new baskets John is having made for me to keep my ribbon in rather than old Ice Cream Tubs  .......!!!  A few weeks ago he bought me a lovely basket to  keep my Lace in.  He can be such a "sweetie" at times.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling in I really do appreciate it
Have a Fantastic Weekend
Hugs

"Welcome little Aimee"

Hello Bloggers, I know I say this almost every day.   I love that you call by and leave such lovely comments on my work.  It makes it all so much more fun to create.
Thank you for all your Birthday Wishes, that`s Sisters for you ..... no one would have known if Hazel had not mentioned it.  Saying that it has been so nice reading them all.
I have had a nice day even the weather was good till about 5pm.
Don`t know about where you live but round these parts of Perthshire and Angus during the Month of September we have "Open Studios".   It is where local Artists of all persuasions open their Studios or display their work in Studios with their friends.   John and I popped up to Alyth only 31/3 miles from here and WOW!! what a great morning we had in only "one" Studio.   There were 3 young women showing their work....Handmade Wicker Work Baskets and other little trinkets.   Magnificent huge Pottery Pots the girl used ash from her Log Fire for the colours she used on the pots.   She also had lots of other smaller pieces.  The third lady made beautiful delicate Porcelain things such as Lamp Bases, T-Light holders with wonderful lattice type cut out work on the sides.   Needless to say I had to have some things.  Not all for me, I did some Christmas shopping!!!!  John did buy me some baskets that I am having made to put some of my ribbons in.  Expensive for storing ribbon but Hey! Ho! its my Birthday!!!
My card today is one of the cards I made for Hazel`s daughter Tammy.   Tammy wanted this image in Girly Pink, with the babies name on it.  The spelling of the name is rather different so no way would you get that on a bought card

Base card white 6x6x
Pink Card Stock
White card embossed with Sue Wilson`s Tumbling Hearts Folder
Some Pink Organza ribbon from my stash
Pink card
LOTV image stamped and coloured with Promarkers cut out using SB Classic Scalloped Squares
I added a pom pom to the hat
Computer generated Greeting on matching card

That`s it for today
Thank you for visiting and once again for your Birthday Wishes I really appreciate them all
Till next time
Hugs

"Have I shown you this"

Hello and welcome to the "mad house".  I am sure I am going off my "trolley"
Nothing new there that`s for sure.
A couple of weeks ago we had the Painter in giving the place a freshen up, all except the Lounge.  That had been done a few months ago.   I had taken down all the pictures, as you do.   I had decided I was not putting a lot of  them up again.  However there are two that have always hung in the outer porch and they were to go up again .... well we had lost one.   I asked John if he had put it away by mistake.  Off he went to check  ..  nope!!   How on earth can you possibly loose a blooming big picture????
I came home this afternoon from my morning coffee with Hazel and some friends to be escorted into the lounge by John.  There was the picture, hanging in an alcove at the far side of the chimney breast.  It has been there for a couple of months.  Both of us had forgotten we had a change about when we painted the lounge.   So not only I am I going off my trolley John is joining me as well. .........................   need be locked up us two, so we do!!!
I am sure I have shown you this card before but can I find the Post........ no!   If you have seen it I am really sorry.  See!!! more evidence that I am loosing the Plot.

White Centura Pearl Base card cut using SB Grand Decorative Circles One
I know a few of you cut through two layers of card to create this style of card.  I am always frightened I break my GC doing that.
I cut out two separately score the back one down about 1 inch from the top then glue the folded bit to the front Die Cut
Cut a lilac embossed piece of card using SB Grand Circle Die
White card embossed with Swiss Dot Embossing folder, cut using SB Die
The leaf swirls a Cheery Lynn Die, Basket a Marianne Die, Leaves Crealies Die.   Flowers are waste from a Die I have not a clue what it is, plus some punched out leaves.
Stamped Greeting

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling in and putting up with my ramblings I really appreciate that.  Also the fact you still come back.........................!!!
Till next time

"Very quick & simple Card"

Hello Bloggers, glad to have you visit my Blog.  I hope you like what you see and call back again.  I f you have time please leave a comment so I know you were here.  That way I can link back to you if you have Blog, look at your work,  return the compliment by leaving you a comment.
Don`t know about where you are but I am finding it very cold  here this evening.
John is watching the football while I do this in the office.  I actually had to pop the heating on, will give it an hour then switch it off.  Maybe just me but I am cold, I hate being cold.
Nothing much happening here today.   John had to go to Blairgowrie  to see about 2 new tyres for the 4x4  ......  not looking forward to paying that bill on Thursday when they are fitted.  I went with him and got a few supplies in at Tesco.
My card today is using the bottom half of an A4 sheet I printed off yesterday.  I used the top half on yesterday`s card,  using the bottom half for today`s.  If you had a look at yesterday`s card it was pale and delicate.  Today`s is such a contrast and both from the one sheet.

Base card 6 x 6 white card
Burgundy Card
Backing paper, I used SB Foliage Die to cut out the leaf shape where there was an vague image of leaves
I backed the aperture with green card then placed the Leaves back in slightly offset
I went over the outline of the roses with a Quickie Glue pen and added some glitter
Broad and narrow ribbon from my box plus a greeting that I have had for some time
A very quick and very simple card really using the Backing Paper as the focal point

That`s it for today
Thank you for visiting I really appreciate it and all the lovely comments you leave.  Each and everyone brightens my day
Till next time
Hugs

"One for the Box"

Hello Bloggers, welcome to my little corner in the wonderful world of Blogging.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support.  I have had some lovely comments from a new lady, Jacqui http://jewelscardcraft.blogspot.co.uk/   Jacqui, I hope you keep coming back to see what is on offer here.  I would also like thank those of you who do not have a Blog but still keep coming to visit.   People like Patricia,  Lydia and recently French to mention a few.  I cannot return the favour however I do love that you keep me company.
Usual Monday here, house cleaning day.  Got all the washing done and out, the weather was great till midway through the afternoon.  I was on the phone to Hazel telling her I had got all the bedding dry.  The sun was shining when we started chatting ........ I just happened to look out and it was starting to rain.  End of conversation, I ran out to get the washing and in the process got absolutely soaked.  I had to change, however I got the washing.  Shower only lasted 3 or 4 minutes but My! Goodness! it was like monsoon rain for that time.
Hazel ordered some cards for her daughter to be ready for Wednesday morning when we meet.
Had to go hunting for that "Magic Wand" again!!!!   Baby cards, I really do not know how many I have made for Tammy over the last couple of months, all these new babies.
Audrey (a midwife) is really, really busy just now.  All the Christmas and New Year made babies..........!!!!
My card today is one for my Stock Box here at the house.  I often have ideas, make a card for no reason, they usually go in my box.  This one was one of those cards that every thing seemed to go wrong.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but made so many silly mistakes along the way.  I wanted to cut the circle out to put the piece of Die cut Lattice work behind.  I forgot to cut the circle and was almost sticking it to a piece of card.  I was going to stitch round it with "pink" thread.  Got the machine out, happily stitching to discover the thread had broken and all I had was holes...........................!!!  However the end result is not too bad.

Base card 6 x 6 white card
I have popped in a bit of Netting I found but you really do not see it
Printed off a sheet of My Craft Studio Backing Paper Looking at it I think it is one from a painting of Stehphanie`s Roses.  I have another card I will show tomorrow using the other half.  Same sheet of paper but Oh! So! Different from top to bottom
Popped a SB Lattice Die Cut from my Die Cut Box behind the circle cut using a SB Classic Circle Die
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Leaf scroll a Marriane Die, leaves SB Foliage Die
Pearls are done using Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glue
The card is a little bit Shabby Chic  ....  just a little
That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling in I really appreciate it
Till next time,
Hugs

P.S. the ornaments I have been using are all made by me when I did Ceramics a few years ago.
Trying to be "artistic" with my photography ........................ I did say "Trying"  Don`t think it works for me as well as it does for some others.

"Small boxes for the Tearoom"

Hello and welcome, I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend.
Weather here was good, we had really heavy rain during the night Sat/Sun.  Love when it comes during the night.  I do hope those of you who need the rain got some.
Great to have you here, I love that you come to visit.    I had visits from Helen Owen http://thediecutdiva.blogspot.co.uk/  Also Ali Watson http://simplystylishstamping.blogspot.co.uk/  If you have time pop over and have a look, they are not daily Bloggers but have some nice projects.  Julie Kitchener commented on my Blog unfortunately I could not get back to her she is on this Google Circle thing.  Sorry, really means nothing to me and I cant get anywhere with it.  Thank you for your comment if you happen you pop back to visit me,
When Elaine was here Thursday evening she mentioned she had sold a few of the smaller boxes I have in my cabinet at the Tearoom.   I had a few cards to make, once they were done I made a few boxes.

Boxes made using odd sheets of Tilda Paper/Card that were waiting to be used up.
I love these papers they are beautiful to work with.
I used a few scraps of other card where needed and SB Dies
Border on the pink gingham one done with a MS Punch
Boxes decorated with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves created using SB Foliage Dies
I have a few more odd sheets to use another day

That`s it for today
Off to re-string a necklace for Audrey.  I made it for her a couple of years ago, she has managed to break it.  However she has given me all the beads which helps
Thank you so much for calling in I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs
