"Thank You card"

Hello Blog friends, I certainly hope you are getting the beautiful weather we are.
The sun has been shining since early morning, the sky is blue, little wind although it is rather cool.  I can cope with the cool as long as the sun is shining.
Thank you for popping by today, love to have you visit.  I have been trying to get round you all to see what you have been up to.   I got a lovely e-mail from Flora (Crafty Lark) giving me a link to Carol Yates Blog.  Carol leaves some lovely comments and till now I have not been able to get to her Blog as it is one of these Google links and I have not got my head rounds how to sort that out.   I can accept if people do not have a Blog, I thank you for your visits and comments.   I really do like to return the favour if I get a comment on my Blog and the person has a Blog.
Thomas is here again, I feel he is making up for what happened.  I have never mentioned anything about him not coming with me.  I have been talking about what Oriel and I did.  Things that were going on at the farm but not saying at any point he should have been there or that missed out on anything.  There will be other opportunities in the future.

Here is the card we have been making:-
Base card 6 x 6 white card
Spot and checked papers from CDs
We both did some of the stitching.  Thomas first go using the sewing machine.
The machine is one of these little ones, not that great but he did manage to use it fine
Thomas attached the paper and as far as I am concerned they are upside down.  He says that`s the way he wanted them
As you can see there are a fair few flowers to say the least.  The card does just about manage to stand on its own!!!
As a joint effort I feel we have "Done Good"
Stamped greeting mounted on lilac card and cut into a Fish Tail

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"The view from my window"

Hello Blog friends that`s me back.
Thank you for popping by, I love that you keep coming back to see what I have been up to.
No card today, Thomas and I are still working on a "Thank You" card for Oriel.  Not hat he needs to thank her he never got there!!!!  Thomas has been Air Travelling since he was 9 months old, they both have.  They have been to the States twice a year till they went to school, plus other trips including Turkey to visit us, and holidays with us.   Now they normally go to the States in October however they were there for 3 weeks of their Summer Break from school.  We as a family do a lot of travelling together all 6 of us.  This would have been the first time other than days away in the car or on the train, again it is usually Thomas, Robert with either me, John or both of us.  Poor Thomas took a panic attack on Monday evening here in our house.  He was worried about going away without either his mum or dad.   We tried to reassure him, but he would not be convinced that his mum and dad would be nearer in Belfast that they will be when they go down to London in November.  He went home to sleep on it.  However I think John and Audrey might have been pressurising him just a bit too much.  He came on the phone Tuesday morning crying his wee heart out saying he could not manage to come.  Last thing he said to me on the phone was "Granny you WILL still love me"  well you can imagine that was me in tears, not that he was not coming, but the thought that I had upset him so much.  We tend to forget that he has just turned 9, is very tall and very clever, we do expect a lot from him.
He did come to the Airport with John to pick me up, Oh! Wow! you would have thought I had been away for 3 months rather than 3 days.  He came home with us for tea, set the table, helped make the tea, cleared the table, stacked the dishwasher.  He asked if we were Best Buddies again, told him we had not been anything else but.  He went off home happy as Larry, had to get back again today.  I am sure it was just to check that we really were.

Just thought I would let you see the wonderful view from my bedroom window at Oriel`s.  Some of their 280 Dairy cows wondering about in the field.  In the distance on the horizon is a Ferry Boat beyond that is the west cost of Scotland at Port Patrick.
I had a great 3 days with great weather and walks a long the beautiful beach at Ballywalter.
We did do a little shopping on Wednesday had lunch out, other than that it was just a great catch up.

I have had to leave the card for today.  Thomas will be back tomorrow to finish off adding flowers.  For me there are enough on already.  You know what kids are like when the see a box of anything they need to add most of it to what they are creating.
That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till Next time
Hugs

"Black White & a little Shabby Chic"

Hello blog friends, I am not lost.  Life in general and time took over this weekend.
I did all my Monday duties yesterday (Sunday) leaving me today to go shopping for food to keep John going while Thomas and I fly off to Belfast then on to Oriel and her husbands dairy farm in Ballywalter for a few days.
All was going fine till Audrey and the boys popped in.  They stayed for lunch as usual the boys did not want to leave.   Absolutely no problems with that BUT they do need your attention.  The spent more time with John which was fine.   I have managed to get more or less up to date with things.
Thank you for supporting me by always popping in to see what I have been doing.  I really love that you all do that.  Welcome to my new follower Olga, I am delighted you have decided to join me, I hope you enjoy your visits.   I try to get round all the Blogs to see what everyone else is up to.  For the ladies that call in who do not have Blogs  ...  Thank You I really appreciates that.
I had orders for cards which I posted off this morning "guess what" Yep!! I forgot to photograph them.  I could have used them in the future to post.  Never mind I will just have to get my brain in gear and make some more.   I sometimes worry that I don`t actually have a brain!!!!
Today`s card is one I made earlier today.  I had all the bits sorted out for it but had not put it together.

Base card is white 5 x 5
Pink backing paper printed from a Nitwit collection
Black card from the Lidl card pad
Spotty paper printed from Creative Crafting World`s Perfect Papercrafting Companions CD.  I really like this CD the selection of colours and patterns is brilliant.
I cut and embossed a piece of the black card and used some of my Gilding wax over the embossing.  I am getting the hang of it now.  I was using my finger to apply till I asked Jenny (Pushing the right buttons) who told me to use a brush.  Much easier thank you Jenny
I used another piece of card to draw round the same Die then cut out by hand
Made the rose and butterfly with some of the Pink  backing paper, leaves from white card.
Tied a bow with some Black and Pink ribbon from my stash.  Added a few pearls to finish off

That`s it for today folks
Thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy day to visit, I  really appreciate it
I will not be posting for a few days.  I do not know if Oriel has WiFi to comment using my iPad.
So till I get back be good, I will check up on you!!!!
Hugs
