Hello Blog friends, followers and all who happen by.  Hope you are all well and looking forward to the "big day".  Before we all get totally engulfed with the Christmas Festivities, please remember those of our Blog friends and others in the wider community who desperately need our thoughts and prayers just now.   Tragedy, loss and suffering do not disappear just because it is Christmas.

MB Die in Black and White put together and cut up as required
Plenty of Glitter!!!!
Freebe "Happy Christmas" Stamp

I would like to "Thank" all you wonderful people for the support and wonderful comments over the past year.  I have said this many times, without you guys, Blogging would be no fun at all.  I love seeing all your wonderful creations, gaining inspiration and learning.

John and I wish you all a fantastic Christmas.
Till next time  ...  have fun.

Just for You

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Welcome and thank you for stopping to look at what I have been up to.  I have a New Follower, I think she is Portuguese, I have had a look on her Blog, she does some beautiful things.  Thank you for becoming a follower I really appreciate that.
Sorry I have been missing for so long.
I am fortunate to be a very healthy person BUT!! I do suffer rather badly from S.A.D.  I have a lamp, I take extra Vitamin D, I try to get out for a walk if the day is good, I still do not cope very well.  However on the positive side  ...   this is the shortest day.  Onwards and upwards as they say.
I have not done any real crafting for 2 maybe 3 weeks.  I have given myself a good shake and hopefully will get some things done soon.
I have a card to show you.   I "had" to make this for my friend who lives outside Belfast in Northern Ireland.  She fell putting out the rubbish.  She has broken her left wrist and fractured her right elbow.  My friends are falling like "nine pins".  Oriel is too far away for me to be of any help.  However she has a fantastic family who are all rallying round.  My Other friend Elaine is still not too good.  She is getting there but not as fast as she would like, of course this is getting her down.  Elaine made it along to the Card Class Tuesday past, all the ladies were so happy to see her.  They did the card she had prepared for them (Jennifer Elaine`s daughter) had actually put it together.   I had done extra for them so all in all a good class, a great laugh which I know helped Elaine a lot.
I hope you are all getting on well with the Christmas preparations.  All good here so far.
Here is my card for today:-

Simple card using a Technique Sue Wilson showed recently
Base card approx 5x7
Purple card embossed
SW Ivy Die plus the outside Die from one of one her Striplet Sets
Just for You, Phil Martin Stamp from Creative Expressions
Pearls from stash  ...  all very easy peasy

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that.
Till next time

"Gift Bag for Elaine"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who lands here because the pressed the wrong button!!!
Welcome to my wee corner of the wonderful world of Blogging.
I am struggling to keep up with commenting at the moment   ...  not because I am too busy   ...   it`s Blooming Blogger.  I find I have to sign into my Google Account every time I make a comment.  Sometimes I write one and Pfff!!! it disappears into Cybre Space.  If I have not left you a comment recently it is not that I am ignoring you, I am visiting I promise.
Thank you for all the lovely comments on Thomas`s Engine.  When I was dusting it (and others he has made) this morning I tipped it over and the coal fell out of the tender.  When he built his models he wanted to crush some real coal, we decided that would be to heavy and also messy.  Thank goodness we went for the option in use   ...  crumpled up "After Eight Papers"   Thomas loves After Eights, him and Grandpa had a great time eating their way through boxes of then to fill the tenders!!!
Finished my Christmas Cards, posted ones away, a few waiting to be popped in doors or handed over with gifts.
I made one for Robert`s birthday which is today and of course forgot to photograph it.
Here is my offering for today:-
Have not made one of these Gift Bags for a long time:-

Bag made using SB Grand Labels One
Tilda Papers for everything
SB Rose and foliage Dies
Have filled it with some Handmade Sweets for Elaine.

Elaine keeps asking me to show her how to make these, which I do.  She always says she never gets them right.  Elaine does not have a lot of spare time or patience.   I feel for making these they are the "most important" ingredients!!!!
Elaine is still struggling to get over the car accident   ...   what have I just said about patience????

That`s it for today
I really must go and do some tidying up of "craft stuff"    There is a section of worktop in the kitchen that I have not seen the surface of for ages!!!
Thank you for your visit and comments I really appreciate each and every one
Till next time

"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, followers and poppers by ....... Yet again, I`m late, I`m late for "Oldie on Friday "
Busy busy here this morning, we had the boys overnight then to school.  Mum was night shift, gets home approx 9am.  Dad goes out at 7am to get to work.  I usually leave our house 6.30am scoot along to theirs (10 min drive) to do what we call a "swap over" it`s only every now and again.  I get them up, fed and along to school just 3or4 mins from their house.  I am back home and in our house for approx 9am.   However the roads here are "lethal" with snow and ice they stayed overnight and Grandpa took them to school in the 4x4.  John and John Jnr did not want me out so early on the bad roads. The reason I do the "Swap over" is I am the early riser in this house !!!  It was a long slow 8 mile drive for them this morning but they got there safe and sound.
Here is my "Oldie for Friday" started by Erika at   http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
We would like to see any of your past work, it does not have to be cards.

Here is something "very" different made of card but certainly not a "card" as we know them
Made mostly by Thomas with a little help from me, done a few years ago now. (I think he was 4 possibly 5 when he built it)  Like his dad and Grandpa he is very much into railways.  He wanted to make a model of "Mallard" so here is what he ended up with. It still sits proudly on display in the Guest Bedroom.
I have to apologise for lack of comments on your wonderful works.   I am having real problems with "blogger" at the moment I think most of us are for some reason.  Last night I had absolutely nothing, I think that was because of the horrible weather, we will see.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for visiting me I really appreciate it
Till next time

Oh! No! I see the Snow!!!

Hello Blog friends, followers and everyone who visits.  Just to let you know without you guys I would not bother posting.  It is your comments on my Blog that make it all worth while.  I send a BIG Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Well folks winter has reached us here.  There is a thick covering of snow on the hills I see out of the Kitchen windows which face directly North!!!!    There was a light dusting on the ones out the front yesterday and this morning, that has gone for now.  The sun is shining, the shy is blue, it all looks wonderful but I am still not a lover of it.
I got lots of cards finished yesterday, John posted the ones that were small enough to go in the box on his way to collect the paper this morning. .  I have to confess, I was naughty, I cheated a bit this year.  I usually do all the inserts on the computer however time was running away from me and I just "stamped" them.
I still have all the cards for the neighbours still to do.  That`s the only thing about living in a tiny village, you have to make a card for almost everyone.
Phoned Elaine this morning, she`s not good. Will not say exactly what she says she feels like, you can just imagine!!!  Does not want any visitors, will leave it today but not taking no for an answer tomorrow.
Took a rest from Card Making and did this:-

An Altered Coffee Jar!!!
Just noticed that bottom piece of twin needs sorting. Funny how you always see the mistakes when its too late, however you get the idea. I have mounted the floral piece on card and used Velcro Dots to attach it to the Jar.  I will be using it as a vase, don`t want all the paper flowers to get soaked when I am washing out the jar.
I know I should have been doing other things BUT!!! when I saw the empty jar waiting to go into the Glass Recycling I had one of those "light bulb moments" that just had to be worked on.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for stopping to see what I have been up to, I really appreciate it
Till next time

Ooopps! forgot it was Oldie for Friday

Hello Blog friends, followers and all who might just press a wrong button and land here.  You are all very welcome, I love having you call by.
Out early today, not long back.  Sat down with a cuppa and my IPad  what did I see when I clicked on    ....   Posts for Oldie on Friday started be Erika across at:-   http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
I had completely forgotten it was Friday, sorry about that   ...    who stole my week???
Have had a quick root round, here is what I found:-

A Twinchie:- remember when we were all making these???
A Twinchie was a tiny 2 x 2 inch card or piece of Art Work.  To show how creative you could be with such a small canvas to work on. They were good for little Gift tags.  Quite popular in  ...  approx 2009/2010   ...   I think!!!
Backing paper from NitWits
Buttons on a tiny metal heart shape I made from scraps of wire we use to make our Pendants
Ribbon and pearls
Scrap of MS punched border

John & I popped into Elaine`s on the way home from Perth.   She was sleeping, did not actually see or talk to her.  We chatted with Doug who is a bit concerned that she is not getting on as well as he thought she might.  See! there`s the BIG problem, Elaine is never ill and always at "every ones" beck & call no matter how she is feeling.  I have often said that I really do not know how she copes.
.
That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit, much appreciated
Till next time

Cold and Frosty Today

Hello Blog friends, followers and all who stop by to see what I have been up to.
Extremely cold and frosty here today.  However we do have a BIG bonus   ...   the sun is shining, the sky is blue.  What a wonderful treat after so many weeks of dark, dull, rainy weather.
I would like to thank all the people who do not have a Blog but stop by regularly and leave such lovely comments.
Marci:- who does not have a Blog left a comment saying she often drops by but does not always comment.  I know lots do that, by looking at the statistics that show on the side chart.  If it was not for you fantastic people all this would be a total waste of time.
More "thank yous"  I have passed on the wonderful sweet comments for Elaine, she is very touched that have done that as most of you do not know her.  When I phoned this morning, as always  ...   she`s fine!!!!  I can tell by her voice shes not but as long as she feels she is that helps.  Some of you know Elaine, she is tiny which is a good thing.   Her hubby, a strong guy but not as young as he used to be, has to carry her to the toilet and shower.  She has not broken her ankles, however they are in a bad way with all the pressure she was applying to the brakes before she hit the oncoming car.  The steering had completely gone on her new Vauxhall Adam car.   Ironically they got a re-call letter the other day, after the event of course ...  to check the "steering"
Here is my card for today:-

Its another Christmas Card.  I am hoping to get to the end of these soon.
I have most of mine made just have to park my bottom, get the inserts done, get them in and ready for posting.

Card approx 5x7 using cream card
Dull gold card I found in a box
Dark green card
Cream card same as base
Scrap of ribbon
Poinsetta made using our "Family Tartan Paper"
Scraps of paper from my Bit Box
Some buttons and twine
Stamp brought home from the Sates ...  no makers name on it, I really like it

That`s it from me for today
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time

My Buddy is Bruised & Battered

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who has popped in for a visit.  You are very welcome, I love that you take time to do that.  For any not feeling to good at the moment here are some (((((hugs)))))  Help yourself if you think they might help.
Just back from visiting Elaine who is in a bit of a state.  Elaine was involved in a car accident on Friday.  OMG!! when I saw the pictures of the car she is really lucky to be alive.  The brand new car she got for her birthday back in August is a total right-off.  Not only was the car a mess after hitting another car it came to rest inches from a live Electricity Pole.   Everyone has been telling her the can can replaced, we would not be able to replace her.  She is at home in bed for another couple of days then has to start trying to get about.  Luckily she has a Shower Room in her bedroom.
When I got the news it was a right shock, fairly knocked me off my stride that day.
Myra:-  Glad I managed to bring back some memories.  I see you call yourself "The Coconut Ice Lady" now that`s something I have never managed to master!!!
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on our Anniversary Tea.
Carol:- No problem having Afternoon Tea at Gleneagles they cater for lots of Dietry needs
Here is the card I made for Elaine:-

I was sitting having my lunch when it suddenly dawned on me I had not made a card   ...  panic stations!!!
SW new Striplet Die which cuts a dream
I cut the Striplet into the card then made a frame using the outside edge of the Die.  Backed it with a piece of Lilac card and added pearls
Sentiment done on the computer  ..  a bit too much distressing I feel!!!  Matted it onto a piece of the Lilac card then onto some white
Triple bow using narrow Organza Ribbon

That`s it for today
Thank you very much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time

Oldie for Friday

Hello Blog friends, followers and poppers by.  Welcome to my Blog, I hope you are all well, if not please help yourself to some of these if you think they will help (((((hugs)))))
Thank you for all your lovely comments on Roberts Wall Art.  We had lots of "messy" fun making it.
Oldie for Friday was started by Erika over at  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
Anything you have made in the past is absolutely fine, does not have to be a card.  Please feel free to join in today, if not, how about next Friday we would love to see your creations.
Here is mine:-

A simple card using SB Butterfly Die
A quadruple bow using Meiflower Organza Ribbon, a Dazzlers coloured  with a ProMarker
Computer generated greeting

Yesterday afternoon John and I were here:-

Part of the Golden Wedding Gift, John & I received from my sisters ... Hazel, Fiona, Hazel`s two daughters and all their other halves was a Voucher for Afternoon Tea at Gleneagles.  In September the Ryder Cup was on, we went off on holiday.  We spent the Dollars that were also part of our gift on a super meal in a really nice Italian Restaurant in Florida.
John booked us into Gleneagles for yesterday and Boy! oh! Boy! what a treat. The Hotel is in a wonderful setting, however we did not see much for the dense "fog".  The Hotel inside is stunning and the service is excellent.   We have done the Afternoon Tea thing a few times, every time is special, we loved it.
There were plates of beautiful sandwiches, scones and savories.  All just bite sized but so yummy.  We eat a few of the sandwiches, all the little savories a scone each and a couple of the cakes.  Here is part of the cake selection:-

We only managed a couple of the cakes even though they were just "bite sized"
We did eat the Trifle and Cheesecake that were in the glasses, we left all the cakes you see here
The waitress boxed them up beautifully, we took them along to John and Audrey`s as a little treat for them.  Guess what!!! Audrey had decided she was starting a diet and had gone off to join a Slimming Class!!!!  Boys were delighted, said "goodie all the more for us" that included daddy.

One of the many Christmas trees in the Hotel Lobby
The place smelt soooo!!! wonderful, that beautiful spicey, Cinammon, Christmassy smell  Mmmmm!!!  loved it.
We really did not need an evening meal.  Approx 9pm we had  ...  wait for it  ...  spaghetti on toast  ... what a come down, but it was good!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that you take time to come and see what I have been up to.
Till next time

Roberts Wall Art

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who has called by to see what I have been up to .... (not  lot these past few days) Welcome, to my little corner of Blogland.
I have to apologise for being missing again, you know something, general housekeeping and "stuff" can be a right pain at times.  I don`t go out to work BUT where oh! where does all my time go???  We do not have the boys so much after school since John Jnr has taken up his new post.  I should have lots more "free" time, I must waste it some way but do not know how!!!   We still see the boys mostly at the weekends while they are at school.  However John really liked picking them up, we enjoyed having them here for tea a couple of times some weeks.   The food and milk supplies now last so much longer .....  LOL!!!
I mentioned that I sometimes use "Free" Digi downloads for colouring rather than buying stamps.
Stephanie Cotterill has asked where I get them...... I have to confess when I am looking in on Blogs where a "free" Digi image I like is mentioned I pop in and download it.  Here the bad part I never take note of where it came from  ...  naughty me!!   I know and I promise I will take note in future.  Stephanie if you contact me on pjdtrimbush@aol.com I can have a chat with you.
Right I will show you what Robert and I got up to this weekend past:-

He did not want to make cards but wanted to "craft"
We used up the last of a Kitchen Roll clearing up something when he asked "what can we use this for" .... the cardboard insert.....???  I often keep bits and pieces like this, it is amazing the things they make from "bits" there were another 2 in their box.   Thinking caps on and this is what we came up with.
We cut the inserts into 1" pieces, stuck them together like flowers.   I suggested popping them on Kebab Sticks, Robert had the idea of sticking them all together.  "We have to paint them Granny!!!!  Another messy job needing cleared up.  Then of course he needed something to cover the holes in the middle.  Pearls for my stash were used for that.
After a lot of messy fun I now have a nice piece of "Wall Art" hanging in my kitchen.

That`s it for today folks off to see if I can make something to show you soon.
Thank you so much for your visit, much appreciated
Till next time
Hugs

Oldie for Friday

Good morning Blog friends, followers and anyone who has just popped by to see what "Oldie for Friday" is all about.    No! its not ME!! although I feel like an "oldie" I really do not like this "dark time" of year and the fact that it has rained for so long  ...  my feet are getting that "webbed" shaped" look again.
Oldie for Friday it is something started by Erika at:-  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
Anything you have done in the past that you might like to share with others is what is asked for.  Come on I am sure there is something you would love to share with us.
Stephanie Cotterill  thank you for your comment on my colouring.  I use Digital images that I have downloaded  to colour.  I am not a stamper, that way when I want an image I know that I can "print" it and it will be right.  No using up card to get an image that is worth colouring.  Some are Freebies others downloads and much cheaper than buying a Stamp although I do have lots of stamps.
Anyway here is my  "Oldie for Friday"

A Canvas I did for Elaine for her Birthday a couple of years ago
Cheap canvas from "The Works"
SB Fancy Lattice Die
SB Butterfly Die, some cut using Tilda Paper Scraps other cut from white card.  I then mixed and matched them

That`s it from me for today
Thank you so much for calling by, I love having you here
Till next time

Little Gift Box

Hello Blog friends, followers and any passers by.  Thank you for pressing the button that brings you to my little corner of Blogland.  I hope you like what you see, leave a comment and come back again soon.
I got the idea for the project I am showing you today from the Blog of a very talented lady   http://veritycards.blogspot.co.uk/   If you get a chance pop over and see the wonderful things she does.  Lizzie made her box far bigger than I needed.   I adjusted mine to suit, which was very easy.
Elaine`s daughter Gillian has lived with her partner for a while, have furnished there home as they wanted with all the things they needed.  They requested money for their Wedding Gift.  They are Honeymooning in Florida so for us it was Dollars.  Right!! how do you make some Dollars look like a gift?  For me it was to make a box, here is what I did:-

I made the box to fit the Die Cut I used.  I got 10 of these Die Cuts on EBay some time ago and shared them with Hazel.  I have used them for standard Wedding Cards up till this one
Navy Card for the actual box, that was the colour of the Bridesmaid Dresses
White Organza Ribbon from Mieflower
The little inside box was made to fit the folded Dollars
I did fit a nice verse onto the inside front flap
The White & Silver Card for decoration was bought in the States.  60 sheets 4 of  each design, stunning card 280 maybe 300Gsm for $14.99. It is beautiful to work with
Might as well show you the back while I am at it
I put it in a large Cellophane Card Bag,cut off the extra bits and made a parcel.  I tied the parcel with the White Ribbon and a nice Triple Bow.  Sorry no picture of the parcel, forgot to take it   ...   silly me

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

I have been colouring again

Hello Blog friends, followers and all who pop into see what I have been up to.  Welcome to my little corner of the wonderful world of Blogging.  I love to have you visit and read all your lovely comments, thank you for taking time to do that.
Well   ....   can you believe it, the rain has stopped, they sky is bright ... not clear or remotely blue but it is bright.   Will not say too much and hope that it last for the couple of hours of daylight we have left.
Did the Card Class this morning, all good fun, thank goodness we have tamed the Rebels at long last.  Elaine and I split the session she does the first class then pops back over to the Tea Room to work.  I carry on with my Projects.  Today I had them make 2 Christmas Cards.  Very simple using LOTV Christmas Art Pad Images.  They want to do more Christmas Cards so "thinking cap" on again for next time.
I still have my Prisma Pencils out and using them.   I have a lot to learn but I am getting there.   I am waiting for Blending Fluid and some Stumps arriving.  I have watched a couple of YouTube Videos, I think using the Blending Fluid might help.
Here is another of my projects:-

Digital Image, which is good as I can make it as big as I want.
I prefer bigger at the moment.
Base card A4 folded
Nitwit Christmas Papers bought from LOTV at Glasgow a few weeks ago
Blue Card for matting
SB Largest Die in this set.  I drew round the largest Die on to Blue Card for a mat
SB With Love Die bought in Birmingham
Elaine having fun in the Workshop.   It is good to see her relaxed, she has been so up tight of late with all the wedding plans

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

The wedding

Good morning Blog friends, followers and any passers by.  Welcome to my little part of the wonderful world of Blogging.
Just a quick post to let you see a few pictures from Elaine`s daughters wedding yesterday.  The rain stayed off for all the outside photos, I was so pleased for them.
The country side round us is deep under water to the extent it looks like the sea, in the valley to one side of  the main road.  So far, us and all our friends are dry, a few having had scary moments.   The sun is shining at the moment but the forecast is not good for later and tomorrow.
Here are a few photos (not too good) I think I might need a new camera ...... or perhaps its just the "nut behind the lens"...................!!!!

The happy couple with Gillan`s two boys who "gave her away"
Happy mum, my friend Elaine.   Have not a clue where her hubby Doug got to!!!!
My handsome boys
The whole "Clan"
John always has been a bit greedy!!!

That`s it for now I will be back soon with some sample cards I am off to make for the Card Class on Tuesday

Thank you so much for pressing the button to see what I have been up to I really appreciate it
Till next time

An "Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends and followers.  Hope you are all well, if not please help yourself to some (((((hugs)))) if you think they might help.
Today is Friday   ...  that means its Oldie for Friday over at  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
Erika would love to see some of your past makes or posts.  Does not have to be a card just something that you think others would like to have another look at.  Remember some might never have seen any of your fantastic work before if the have just recently started Blogging or looking in on Blogs.
Here is mine:-

These are 3 little Chipboard Baskets from the Hobbycraft Shop when it opened in Dundee.
Cheap as Chips pained with equally as cheap emulsion paint.  I crackled them with PVA Glue, decorated with odd Roses that had been lying about and a few bits of foliage.
They are good to pop maybe a pair of earrings or small piece of Jewellery into.
Hazel and I sold lots of these at Craft Fairs.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for today`s visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

Tomorrow we are off to my friend Elaine`s daughters wedding.  We are all going, the whole family. If I can get some pictures I will let you see them sometime next week.   I keep forgetting to take my camera, having that does help!!!

Have a fantastic weekend
Hugs

I have taken the "Plunge"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any one who got here by pure chance!!!!  Welcome, I love to have to you visit, it brightens my day.  And man Oh! man does it need brightened today.  The weather here is so miserable, its so dark.
Anyway I have taken the plunge and used these:-

I have told you I had these Prisma Pencils.   They were a gift from John & Audrey ages ago.  I have always been frightened to use them they are so beautiful just to look at. One of the last things Kate said to me when we were waving her goodbye after our NEC trip was "get those pencils out and use them"
Well Kate my friend,  today is the day, I have taken the Plunge.  They are so wonderful to use, soft, smooth and they blend so well.
To be honest it was not what I intended to do today.  I was tidying up some bits and pieces in preparation for that..  I came across some "freebe" Digital images I had printed off for Robert to colour.  Amongst them were a few Besties Digital images I printed off for me!! I had forgotten about them.  They are quite large which helped as I am not that great at the colouring.
Here is the card I have created:-

Not perfect, it takes lots of practise for that, I have a lot of practising to do
However that`s the box opened and the pencils used.  I tried to outline the image but feel the colour I used is a bit too dark
Base, navy A4 card folded
Docrafts Capsule Collection paper from Candy I won on Carole Zs Blog
Papers I had printed Dots and Checks
Ribbon from my box
No Greeting, it has gone in the box, you never know, it  might get used.   Miracle's might happen and someone will want to "buy" it!!!!

That`s it for today
Off to get on with what I intended to do:-
Thank you for popping by today I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

Hello Blog friends, followers and any poppers by. Welcome to my we corner of Blogland I love to have you here.  I do hope you are all well this Monday morning, the start to yet another week.
I think that`s me back down to earth after a fantastic weekend at the NEC.  Met Kate off the Inverness bus on Thursday 11.45ish.  Into Hazel`s car and off to Inverkeithing where we left it and boarded the bus for Edinburgh Airport.  Something to eat then on the plane to Birmingham, rather a rocky flight due to the wind and rain outside.  Arrived at the hotel, quick turn around then of for the "fun" part  ...  meeting up with Ang (Mrs Duck) Christine and Ang`s lovely friend Nesta.  A great night, lots of chat, laughter and food.  It ended all too quickly though.  Christine had a fair journey home and the weather was not good.  Ang was taking her fried home but managed to accommodate us as well, back to the hotel.  OMG!! picture the scene ... me at 5`9" trying to get my long legs out of the back of a 2 door car.  Oh! I got in OK but getting out was an absolute hoot!!!.  Made worse by the fact I could hardly do anything for laughing and the others were no help for doing the same!!!!
Next morning we were up and off:-
I met up with the fantastic Jenny  http://pushingtherightbuttons.blogspot.co.uk/
I have followed Jenny`s Blog for quite a while, and was delighted when she mentioned a meet up.  What she does is way different to what I do but every one of her projects is a "Work of  Art" I love it.  I got a beautiful card from Jenny,  I know I will be able to do  a take on it. I will show you Jenny`s card in another post.
Margaret Corgi Owner:- Don`t know what Washing Powder you use but we certainly saw that "sparkling" white Tea Towel you waved as we passed over your house!!!!

"Another little batch"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who finds themselves here because the pressed the wrong button!!!  Welcome, I really love having you here, it brightens my day.
Talking of day it is a beautiful one here at the moment, very cold with a bit of frost this morning.  Off to get my hair trimmed, in preparation for our trip to Birmingham.  Got to do something to make myself look presentable.  Look like I have had a bad fright or stuck my finger in the electric socket at this point in time.
Bag packed for our trip to Birmingham, not a lot in it, I am leaving plenty space for goodies.  Meeting Hazel in Perth tomorrow morning, we will wait for Kate coming down from Inverness.  On to Inverkeithing to leave the car, board the Airport Bus for Edinburgh Airport and on to Birmingham.  We are meeting up with Ang (Mrs Duck) her friend Nesta and Christine (Christine`s cards & Gifts) for dinner on Thursday.  Last year was loads of fun and it was our very first meet up.  This time we know one another a bit better, I think it will be a lot more fun and noise........!!!
I did a Card Class yesterday, they all behaved and made the projects I had prepared.   I did not realise when I agreed to do these classes the amount of work involved.  Next class is in 2 weeks and I have had to start getting things ready for that.  However I did manage an afternoon "playing" and made another batch of flat cards for the cheaper postage rate.  That`s me almost finished with all our posting cards.  They are very simple  .....  we know where do they all end up after the event.
Here are yesterday`s makes:-

Base cards are A4 white card stock from the Papeterie Aberdeen
I scored and cut them to give me some Tent style cards and long A6 if you know what I mean
LOTV Images from their Art Pads.  I was really disappointed in them when they arrived.  They promote them as XL but they are just the same size as they normally produce.  Have 2 images per each sheet where normally there is 1 image per sheet
Anyway I matted each image and placed them on my card base.  The little stamp I got along with a tree when I was in Glasgow just finishes them off

That`s it from me for today
Thank you so much for stopping by I really appreciate that
Till next time
Hugs

"Been making my Christmas Cards"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well if not I am sending some (((((hugs))))).  Help yourself there are plenty in the pot.   I know there are a few families out there that really need our thoughts and prayers.  I am keeping you all in mind.
The weather here when I got up this morning was "shocking".  However we actually have had a beautiful sunny if rather chilly afternoon,  The sky is clear and we have a beautiful moon shining as I type this.
I had decided because of the weather this morning, I would get the housework done and do some crafting.  Have not made a decision like that in a long time.
The boys were here yesterday, Robert and I had great fun playing with Crafty Stuff.   Think my mojo has returned, I do hope so.
So with that in mind I decided I should start on some cards for us to be sending out.  I was on a run and got lots done.  All flat for the cheaper rate of postage.  Still have all the "specials" to do, that`s for another time though.
Here is what I have done:-

They are a mixture of A6, 6x6 and 4x4
The 4x4 are made from waste from projects for the Card Class ........ waste not want not!!!
I got the idea for the ones with the "scene" from Jules  http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.co.uk/  she showed this on her Blog some time ago.  I did some of these with the Card Class and have shown some before.  The stamp is a rather long image which Jules had split up.  I took that idea and have done the same .....  Thank you Jules.  If you have time hop over and have look, Jules makes some absolutely brilliant cards.
The Christmas tree Stamp I bought in Glasgow.  Very simple just stamped and embossed, some I did with Gold others Silver.  I used sparkly WOW powder.  The Happy Christmas stamp came with the tree.
Lancashire Steph does not have an active Blog but posted a comment on mine about a super Stamp Co. http://www.stampingallday.co.uk/
I have had a look and they have some great sentiment stamps.  I will wait till I get back from Birmingham this weekend.  If I don`t get what I looking for there, I will certainly be purchasing from them.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate that you take time to do that
Till next time
Hugs

nattyboots:-  thank you for your comment on my Blog regarding http://www.loveknitting.com
They are a wonderful company with a fantastic range of wools, yarns, kntting and crochet equipment.  I always buy from them, order one day and delivered beautifully packaged the next. "Oldie on Friday" was started by Erika:- http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk
This does NOT have to be cards.  It can be anything you have produced and want to show from past is what we want, so here`s mine:-

Now, the thing about these "oldies" is:- I have forgotten exactly what I have used ....... it`s an "age" thing!!!!  Me and the card ...... LOL!!!

White card embossed with a folder  .... not a clue witch one!!!
Leaves look like SB Foliage Die
Flower SB I think
MS Foliage Punch for little fronds I see.  I know that one!!  I am using it at the moment on Christmas Wreaths for cards.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by, I love having you here

"Preperation for Card Class"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any who just pass through.  Welcome!! I hope you enjoy what you see and pop back again soon, I love to have you visit.
Looks like winter has arrived here in the North East of Scotland.  This morning we wakened to a thick white Frost, blood red sky filled with hundreds of Geese making an almighty racket.  Will have to look out the UGGS, get my NEST ready for "hibernation" ....... I am serious I don`t do "winter"   However I will wait till after next week when Kate (cullisocks) Hazel and I fly down to Birmingham for NEC.  We are meeting up with Ang (Mrs Duck) and Christine (Christine's cards & Gifts) for our dinner in the evening.  Nothing fancy just the Harvester near the Airport Travelodge where we will be staying.  We went there last year, got a corner to ourselves. lots to eat, loads of laughter and plenty noise.  Just hope they don`t realise its "US" again.... they might say they are fully booked ..... LOL!!!
Yesterday was spent preparing for next weeks card class.  I had to prepare 12 kits for this card:-

I cut out all the Striplets.  Last time we said they would do all the Die Cutting themselves we had great problems both with the Dies and the Machines. .  However this Sue Wilson Die is a dream to cut out.   I also cut all the Poinsettias.
All done and dusted and the floor cleared of all the "BITS"

Base card is approx 8x8 PMD Hammered card
I use A3 so manage to get most layers cut out quite economically.  I give them all the usable bits away with them.  There is usually enough to make a small card.
Green and Red card I got at the Papeterie in Aberdeen
Merry Christmas Stamp a freebie in a Magazine
Pearls from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time

"I am not lost"

Hello Blog friends, faithful followers and passers by.  Thank you so much for continuing to support me, I have been a really bad Blogger.  I have tried to get round you all, if I have missed anyone I do apologise.
I am not lost, but I tell you this, my Mojo missed the flight home from Florida and I am really missing it........!!!  Since getting home I have done absolutely NO Papercrafting.  I have not been lazy I have been doing some Crocheting.   A few weeks ago I showed you a shawl I had made.  I used cheaper yarn as I had never done anything like that before.   Since then I have bought some Debbie Bliss Wool from Love Knitting.com a fantastic company.  Order before 10am and I have it delivered here "out in the sticks" by the following day.  Comes in a lovely Organza Bag and even a few little sweets thrown in for good measure.   I have decided that most of my female friends will get one of these for Christmas.

Here is the one I have just finished.  Needs to pressed then its ready to be put away for Christmas.
Dont know who it is for just yet.

Went tthe Hobbycraft Show at the SECC on Friday with some of the ladies from my Card Class.
They had got me a ticket and a seat on the bus even though I was away when it was all decided.  I thought that was really nice of them.
I was rather dissapointed in the show, bought very little.    I did get a couple of 12x12 Paper Pads for Hazel, large Cosmic Simmer Glues for me.   Kate (Culloisocks) Hazel and I are going to the NEC in a couple of weeks.  We have limited baggage, getting these for Hazel saves her weight for all the other goodies she might want to buy.    The Glues for me, are more than 100mm so would not have got them in my Cabin Bag.
Off to check if my Mojo is back, I really doubt it......LOL!!!
That`s it for today,
Thank you so much for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"First order since landing"

Hello Blog friends and all who visit, so glad to have you here.
Holiday over and back to normality.  Washing all up to date although I really only had our traveling clothes plus few bits and pieces.  John and Audrey have had a Time Share apartment with 2 bedrooms in Orange Lakes, Florida for 12 years. They have used it 4 times and traded it for visiting other parts of the US for the other 8 years.   They traded it this year for a Luxury 4 bedroom Villa with private pool and games rooms so we had plenty space for all of us.  All washing was done as needed so no dirty stuff to wash at home.  We have been asked so many times to go with them to Florida but always said it was not for us and had other places to visit.  However the boys really wanted us to experience Florida.  Kept telling us how wonderful it was.  Boys have done and seen most of the Parks so choice of what to do was really up to us.  We did all the ones on our list, visited lots of other places other than Parks and Shopping Malls.  Loved every minute, would not have missed it for the world, especially when we saw the boys enjoying things.  Seen it! done it! but there are so many other places John & I  would visit before going back.
Slept for 3 hours from 11am till 2pm yesterday, went to bed approx 10.30pm up later than I would normally at 7.30am this morning, that`s me back on track.
Was only home 20mins when I got a call needing a card.  I did have one in my box which fitted the bill, that`s delivered and dealt with.

My old lady in the village needed a card for new Grandparents. Luckily I had one in my box
I don`t do peel off`s but there are some on this card for some reason........must have been a "freebie needing used up"
The backing paper and image I use lots for Baby Cards they are from one of the first CDs I ever bought.  Things have moved on but I still like to use these, I have kept the CD just for that reason
Gold Miiri card for matting
Computer generated greeting

That`s it for today folks
Thank you for visiting I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"That`s me Back"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who has just happened by. Welcome to my little corner of Blogland.
I have been missing for  2 weeks for a very good reason  ......  we have been on a "Family Holiday".
This was our gift from John and Audrey for our Golden Wedding.
It was really our Christmas 2013/Golden Wedding Gift.   We felt it was far too much but were told that we have done so much for them over the past few years, this was their way of saying Thank You.     "FANTASTIC" time was had by all.
Arrived home happy but very tired this morning after a horrendous flight full of screaming children. I usually sleep on flights but not a wink could be had.  None of managed to sleep not even the boys. Thank goodness we had a tail wind and got home almost 2 hours quicker than on the outward journey.
Here are a few clues to where we have been.

Look what we saw......not just one but TWO!!!

Of course we were here........!!!
I will be back with some creative crafting when I get back to normal ...... now that could be a couple of days so please bare with me.
I have been looking in on you all while I have been away.  Seen some wonderful creations and great inspiration.
Thank you for your company, I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs
