"Another for a Sketch"

Hello and welcome, hope you are all well, dry and warm.
Thank you for calling in to see what I have been up to.   Not a lot of card making so far, I have been playing with.........Air Dry Clay!!!  I bought some and a few animal moulds for Robert for Christmas.  He has had so much fun I thought I might have a go.  I will show you some of my efforts sometime soon.   Weather here has been absolutely awful most of the day, plenty time for playing once the boys went home after lunch.
My card today has been added to the http://houseofcardschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/  Did not make it for that but thought it might fit in.  I really do not do challenges.   However when you do one and see your name mentioned it fairly spurs you on.

Base card 6 x 6
SB Die to emboss round the oval
SB Classic Oval
SB Blossom Five for the Rose
SB Foliage
Craft Cord
XCut Butterfly Punch
Heart Brad
Organza Ribbon

That`s it for today off to visit some Blogs then play some more with my Clay!!!
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it
Till next time

  1. Oh, it's getting creepy Patricia! I've just made some air dry clay frames. I've still to colour them but we are definitely on the same wavelength at the mo. :) Love the card, so beautifully crafted. I really like the curly leaves. May have to 'borrow' that idea. x

Another stunning entry for HOC. Love how you have cut the oval off the page. Good luck with the challenge.
Never used air drying clay before, just Fimo to make my own beads and jewellery. Look forward to seeing what you made.
    Best wishes.

  16. Morning Patricia, A really pretty card, loving how you have cut the oval off the page, and the embossing and flower and foliage are gorgeous.
Glad you are enjoying playing with the clay, I haven't tried yet, but when I've seen Mel playing with it on C&C I've thought how therapeutic it looks squeezing and pulling it, I have no idea what it feels like, but the embellies look stunning when dry. Enjoy.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  20. Really pretty Patricia. I think this would make a great Easter card because the oval reminds me of an Easter egg. Play nicely with your clay and we'll wait for the results. Hugs Christine xx

  21. Hi Patricia,

Love your card. Thank you. I have had some of that clay for about six months and never got around to having a play until last week when my grandchildren came. My only problem was finding some children friendly moulds. The ones I had were mainly flowers or pretty moulds for cards but they enjoyed the baby ones I found. A rattle, dummy etc so some animal ones would be ideal. They are so delicate and light.

    Much love,

The sweet butterflies and touch of pink makes me long for spring even more now ;-) How lovely to hear you are playing with clay, too, I am playing with clay at the mo, too (well, not at the mo, since my laptop would get dirty all over, duh! ;-) Can't wait to see what you come up with, maybe your stunning roses?? Yes please?? Hugs, Ira x
