"Mothers Day Card"

Hello Blog friends, hope you have all been behaving, I know what mischief you can all get up to in a few days.......LOL!!!
Got back safe but I really do not know who swapped my body on to these legs.........I am sure they are not mine they ached so much.   Miles of walking, shopping, on and off buses, all great fun.  So many laughs our sides and cheeks hurt.   Unfortunately we did have Elaine`s phone bleeping, playing funny music and what ever.  I told her it had to be switched off which she said she had done.  She said she had to bring it for the camera.  When it did go off I just walked away, not too far for her to get lost as unlike me she really does not know Glasgow.   I was really angry and she knew it, I do not want to fall out with her but that`s the last time we go away without a real good understanding as to the "phone" situation.  Elaine is supposed to be coming on holiday to Dalyan, Turkey with Hazel and I in June.  I am afraid it will "holiday" or "phone" but certainly not both the decision is hers.  I know I sound hard but for Hazel and I we don`t do phones on holiday.  We are away to relax end of story..........!!!
Thank you so much for popping by I really love to have you here.
I have another new follower, thank you so much for choosing to follow me and see what I have to offer.

  1. Well big sis this is another stunning card, your Sue Wilson bow is looking so pretty, my bow looked pretty but the card wasn't so that's been side lined. You are so right Elaine has to make the choice about coming on holiday with us or staying at home with her phone. Hazel xxx

  6. Beautiful card Patricia, love the design and colour and the flowers are fab.

Glad you had a great time, I agree with the phone bit, maybe you should agree to be the only one with a phone, switched off mind but just in case of an emergency, if that is what she is worried about or does she HAVE to have a phone on her? It must drive you mad lol!

    Love & Hugs

  8. So glad to hear you had fun. I don't blame you for feeling as you did about the phone ..that is a big pet peeve of mine! For emergencies..that's one thing. When you are away to enjoy & relax..so not necessary. I agree with the holiday or phone tough love. You had said up front, so your friend should have complied. Just MHOpinion!! Your lavender card is so lovely with those gorgeous dp flowers - oh my - and the filigree bow. Awesome. A truly beautiful MDay card. Happy you had the energy to create after a fun wkend. TFS & Hugs

  9. Wow. Patricia. What a stunning card. Glad to hear your time in the city went well. Pity about the phone situation though. I just feel it's so rude if you are out with someone. Good suggestion that you hold a phone for emergencies only. Hugs Rita xxx

  10. Lovely card!! I am glad you had a fun time, and know exactly what you mean about the phones now-a -days!! We (my husband and I ) got rid of our mobile phones. Thanks for your super nice comments about my new blog look! I am not good with all the computer stuff either--but Thankfully Sharon from PlumRose Lane did everything!! She even got on my blog and put all the new items on for me-so, I didn't have to worry about figuring out how to do it!! Just let me know if you ever want her contact info! : )

  11. Gorgeous card Patricia I love the pretty bow. A a
Shame your time away was marred by the phone calls especially if they weren't necessary calls. Hope you can reach an agreement regarding your holidays, Susan x

  12. Love the card, the flowers and bow are so pretty. I think it is Elaine's family who are at fault here, they should have given her the time to herself. Some families are quite selfish.
    cheers

  13. Hello Patricia, welcome back with such a gorgeous card. Love the bow die and the lilac shades, in fact love everything about it.

What a pity Elaine's family could'nt just let her have some time on her own very selfish. She really needs to put her foot down, although I'm sue that's not easy. Definately a need for phone ground rules before you leave for your holiday, hugs Kate x

  14. Hi Patricia
    Finally home, fed and bathed.
Gorgeous card in my favourite colour. Those blooms are fab.
We have six of us who have girlie breaks (we call it Girls on Tour lol !) & have different takes on the mobile situation but tend to make our calls in our own time & room. I hope you can all reach a compromise without too much issue.
    Sweet dreams chuck.

  22. Morning Patricia, So glad you had a good time away, such a shame about the spat with the phone situation. I can see Elaine wanting to have her phone switched on for 'emergency' contacts, but she should have negotiated with her Family beforehand not to call her un-necessarily. I really hope you can come to an amicable agreement on this issue before going on holiday.
I'm loving your card, the colour is gorgeous, and Sue's new bow die looks lovely, gorgeous patterned paper too, this won't be in your 'cabinet' for long, better get making some more hahaha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  23. Morning Patricia,
Pleased you had a good break even with the phone issue.
I don't understand why people need to constantly have their phones at hand. It doesn't matter where you go phones are always ringing, drives me mad.
Love your Mothers Day card, very pretty, don't think it will be in the cabinet very long.

  27. Hi Patricia good to hear you had a super time in Glasgow....I know what you mean about the phone mind, hubby's normally does that when we are away....he's always on duty...forces personnel, you know!
Mind you last time we were in Glasgow it was my work asking me to go in, LOL.
Loving your card, fab colour combo and great floral arrangement. I have to say I've not seen Sue's lovely bow die....loosing track of newer products since I've stopped demonstrating....I think I might NEED that one. LOL.

  28. Hi Patricia so glad you had a fab time in Glasgow, I agree with you about phones they drive me mad! when your on holiday people should have the decency to let you have you holiday. I have to have mine on if I'm away from the hubby ( which isn't very often LOL) because of his medical condition, but I so agree with you. Fabulous card by the week love that bow die huggles Sue xxx

  32. I'm not a fan of mobile phones. I don't own one and people freak out when they hear that. However will people get in touch with me?! The same way they did 10 years ago before everyone had some dumb mobile device shoved in their faces. I'm sorry your friend ruined your vacation that way. That's just dirty pool of her if you ask me.

Your card, however, is fabulous! I just love everything about it!

  34. Mobile phones are a nightmare!!! we have one for when we go walking mainly as we both have heart probs, but we both hate the dratted things! We counted 11 cars with occupants in outside the school yesterday waiting for children. 9 of them appeared to be playing games on them...certainly not talking to anyone!
Anyway to happy talk...Love the cards, I have been looking back at what I have missed and all gorgeous! Love the Roses.
