"Stamp & Ink"

Hello there Blog friends, I have not fallen off the planet or taken to the hills..........!!!
Welcome to every one who pops in, all my regulars or just the casual passer by.  I love to have you here, if you have a moment to spare please leave a comment so that I know you visited..  If you have an active Blog I can then click on and have a look at what you do.
Time has run away from me this week at a rather rapid rate.  I know most of you are the same, where is the year going???  I did go to Perth this morning and had a good "face to face" chat with Hazel.  With the schools being off she has had the girls at home so I have not seen her for 2 weeks.  We chat on the phone every day but it is not the same. We set world to rights, spoke about our up coming holiday end of next month, all exciting stuff.
I did the "Card in a Box" with my Craft Class this week even the "rebels" did it and seemed to enjoy it.......a break though at last.
I have been making a few cards with my Sue Wilson Dies but they are all for occasions to come so will keep them till they have passed then show you some of them.
I decided to have a wee go at using Inks, Stamps and Stencils.   I am very new to this kind of thing so I am taking "baby steps"  Here is a card I made:-

Base card 6x6 white card
I used a piece of Sequin waste I found in a box and inked through it with TH Distress Inks
Stamp is a Clarity Stamp I have had for more years than I care to mention.  It still had the blue ink on it....never been used.  I added a little bit of glitter here and there on the flower
Mounted it, wrote Just for you then squiggled round ... done!!!   I am quite pleased and will have a go at something more adventurous soon.........I think!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

  5. I absolutely love this Patricia. The way you've blended the colours through that sequin waste is gorgeous and works perfectly with your delicately inked central panel.
You are already a fabulous designer. Now you are getting to grips with inks (and maybe paints soon?) the sky is the limit. Way to go Patricia!
Well done on persevering with the class. They only have fear of the unknown and you'll get them through that.
Huge hugs to you and Hazel. Jenny xx

  23. Well! How exciting that you are getting the rebels to come around to trying some new things. I like that card in a box thing. Now that I've seen one and made one I know they aren't too hard and are rather fun. I love your card with its sparkly flower. How trendy of you to ink through a stencil! It's a nice look and no pricey stencils required since you used sequin waste. And glad to hear that you and Hazel have sorted all the world's issues out!!

Cor. Love your spotty background but the topper is fab. I can see the twinkle of the glitter and I thought the writing was a stamp!
    A triumph my friend!
