"A man card"

Hello Blog friends and followers, hope you are well.  If not here are a few hugs to help a little.
Thank you for calling in I really love that you take time to do that.
Busy, busy here at the Ranch.  Between the boys coming and getting things ready for when I am away it has been none stop. The old lady in the village who I make cards for heard I was going away.  She came along yesterday with an order for lots of cards.  I did tell her I was only away for eleven days not eleven months!!!!!    That`s them all ready to be delivered later today.  It was raining yesterday so just busied myself doing them.
John is not a cook unless it goes in the Foreman Grill or Oven Grill.  We also have an Acti Fry if he wants some chips, saves him burning the house down!!!   He manages fine on his own .....he just has to!!!  I prepare lots of meals and have them in the freezer.  He will be along at John & Audrey`s a fair bit, he always is.  They really look after him.  Works two ways, we have lots of  "Brownie Points" stacked up at the moment.......!!!!
My card for today is one of two that were almost the same.  One is for John for his birthday on Thursday (he does not look at my Blog) so I can show it to you.  The other was an order for a customer to send down south, I felt I could kill to birds with one stone as they say......

Base card 5x7 Kraft card
Black Card Stock embossed with a Wood grain Embossing Folder
Reverse side of the Kraft card for the Tag
SB Classic Circle Die
I think the tree stamp is an Indigo Blue one
JustRite Stamp for the Birthday Greeting
Button from my Button Box
Cord was from a skirt belt.  It had a buckle with lots and lots of cords.
I dumped the skirt but kept the belt I just knew it would come in handy one day!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

Patricia  xx

  2. My John is just the same! He won't starve but if I'm away I make sure I have stocked the freezer with pre-cooked meals and baked all the cakes and biscuits he will need. A great male card. I like the wood grain, very manly, yet I often forget it's there. We are all the same I think - far too much stock.....lol! Hugs Christine xx

  6. Beautiful male card Patricia, love the woodgrain look! Your DH will love this! And don't you worry about him, he'll be fine, even though he won't be doing his own cooking ;-) We never argue about a thing, except maybe about who's allowed to do the cooking, lol! Enjoy your evening, hugs, Ira xox

  11. Hello Patricia, fab card for John, I love the bark effect, and it's simplicity makes for a great male card.
Alistair too would never starve, and I don't do meals for the freezer, he does all his own from scratch, like corn beef hash and honey, yuck,

  13. Patricia....let me start by saying that I love your masculine card. The clean, crisp lines are awesome! I love your design and the embossing that you've done on your masculine colored cardstock. This is very manly and "rich" looking! I also wanted to thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by my blog and leave such sweet and encouraging comments on my blog about my faux tea roses canvas. You made my day! <3 Candy

  16. Morning Patricia, A great 'man' card, your John will love it !! If I ever went away (which I don't haha) Graham would be fine, he is brilliant in the kitchen and can turn his hand to almost anything, in fact I think he would like me to go away so he could eat meat !! I don't stop him eating meat, but he just prefers that we eat the same, but occasionally I will do different meals for us, so I think he would 'like' me to go away hahahahaha !!
Have a lovely day, we have it wet and soggy here, yucky.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  18. Hi Patricia a fab male card love the stamp and the embossed woodgrain papers are perfect with it. When I go away Dave just goes to the pub everynight for his meal! I have tried making meals and freezing them but he enjoys going to the pub and sitting there with his I Pad and a glass of wine! I used to feel guilty but now I am ok as I know he quite enjoys it!
