"Welcome Emily Rose"

Hello Blog friends ........... did you miss me???
I actually did miss looking in to see what you were all doing.  I tell you its true, a few of you might remember me telling you that John had booked a week in Turkey for us.  Well that`s where I have been, now if the sun had been shining I might not have missed you quite so much.  However we had rain, rain and even more rain.  Out of our 8 days we had 1 whole day of sunshine and 2 half days.  I certainly hope is clears us before Hazel and  go out in a couple of weeks.  The other thing, we knew there was very limited Wifi in the hotel so I did not take my iPad.  Hazel and I really missed chatting to one another each day.
John and I still managed to have a good time.   We met up with old friends, met some new ones and made the best of our time there.
We spent our summers out in Turkey for 7 years stopping that just a few years ago.  We would leave the UK beginning of May, return at the end of October.  In that time yes, we did get a couple of days of rain but that was it.  The evenings at the beginning and end of our stay did get a little cooler but tell you what it was really cold last week.  We both had to buy a cardigan, and use the AirCon as a heater.
Anyway enough on that subject.
Here is the card I made for my friend Elaine`s new Granddaughter.  This is the card I sent to the parents.

Base card approx 5 x 7 Papermill Direct Card
Pink card embossed with SB Paisley embossing board
Image from Joanna Sheen`s Baby Love CD
Seam Binding Bow
Roses Pink felt I cut out a circle for each of the Roses, cut round and round then wound them.  A  few pearls from stash
Computer generated sentiment matted and cut in a fish tail

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for your visit,I really appreciate it.
I will get round to popping into to see all very soon, probably tomorrow.
We are off along to see the boys this evening
Till next time
Hugs

Patricia  xxx

  17. Hi Patricia I wondered what had happened! You certainly don't plan on rain when you go to Turkey! I remember going to the South of France a few years back now and it did the same thing. My friend and I kept driving towards the sun we could see in the distance and almost ended up in Spain! Beautiful card for Elaine's daughter I hope she is doing better now, Rowan certainly is!! 23. Hi Patricia, you were missed, shame about the rain mind we only had one morning worth whilst away. Never been to Turkey so wouldn't know what to expect weather wise. Good to hear you are already on top of the washing and ironing. Neverending story here just spent all day ironing to have another 3 loads out drying! Barrr!

Beautiful card, as always, super cute image and love the floral arrangement.

    Hugs Erika. x

  32. Super adorable card Pam....sweet.
What's Turkey like? We are often told here in Australia to stay away from places like Dubai, Turkey, Egypt and hard to get into Russia which is where I'd love to go and see my relatives...never seen any of them from both sides of my parents...never knew my grandparents either...xx

  33. So glad you're back home & I know your Sister missed you so much, with your daily chats. Glad that you were able to enjoy yourselves even if the weather was not ideal. You got to be away from the routine, and that's always lovely to do. This is an adorable baby card. That image is so perfectly tender & sweet, and the lace of the rectangle mat was so pretty with this image. Of course those felt roses were scrumptious too. TFS & Hugs. Happy Mother's Day.
