"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all "Tickety Boo" if not here a  few (((((hugs))))) in hope that they might help.
All fine here at the Ranch, boys finish school today.  Although we do not Child Mind I am sure they will be here a fair bit over the holidays.  I know they have plans to go camping with friends and their boys at some point.  I think it will be a case of watching the forecast then taking off.  When they go Camping it is like moving house........!!!!  The car is packed and I mean packed.  All the bikes are on the back and they are off.  It is the one time we pass on the invite to join them.  John does not do camping................actually joking apart he needs a proper bed because of his back problems.
Here is my offering for "Oldie on Friday"

This is a really easy card to make
Base card 6 x 6
Contrasting card
Patterned paper
Die cut a shape from the paper move it slightly then stick in in place
I popped another contrasting piece directly behind the cut out
Piece of ribbon, a greeting, some glitter ..... and your done

The ornament I made years ago at a Ceramics Class I went to for a while so another "oldie"

That`s it for today folks
Thank you so much for visiting I really appreciate it and all your wonderful comments
Till next time
Be good and have a great weekend
Hugs

  1. Morning Patricia, This card looks brilliant, and a fabulous tip with the die-cut and paper behind, so very effective, I love it !! I also love your ceramic 'lady' you are such a clever girlie.
I'm hoping the rain holds off here this morning, as it is our Church Walking Day, I'm taking a brolly though, as forecast is not good !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  5. I remember when you first showed this gorgeous ceramic lady. She is beautiful. And so is the card of course! We used to camp but I went off the idea some years ago. Like a bit of comfort in my old age. John is still a great fan and when he goes up to Scotland climbing then he "wild camps". And good luck to him too! Hugs to you. Christine xx

  6. HI Patricia, I remember this first time too...your card is beautiful and so is your ceramic lady. For someone who was a total Tomboy as a chip, always horse riding or ice hockey, most people are really surprised to know that I have never liked camping! Lol, hugs Carole Z X

  23. Like the way you've displayed this beautiful card. Your serene ceramic lady was just perfect with this gorgeous flower. Love all the sparklies and the way you handled the leaf die. I'm with your DH. My idea of camping is in a nice hotel/motel, with a lovely restaurant & hopefully some nice craft shops nearby. Definitely not tents and sleeping bags! Happy wkend, and TFS. Hugs
