"Box for a friend"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any one who is just popping in to see what I have on offer.  Thank you  for your visit, I hope to see you back again sometime soon.  I am trying hard to get round you all, sorry if I have missed anyone I promise I will get there.
Got lots of washing done yesterday, did intend ironing it as it came in.  Full of great intentions me ....... well it did not work out.  I did it this morning starting at about 5.30am yes! you read right.  I am an early riser, I get so much done in the morning then hopefully I get lots of "playtime" later in the day for being good.  That`s the theory does not always work though.
Today I have an Origami Box I made for a friend to show you.  I know she has received it so I can show it.
The biggest problem with this was thinking what to put it in to send it the 350 miles down the road via the Post Office.  We had had some Strawberries for lunch when I spotted the container.  Ah! Ha! got it, I placed the box between two containers with a little bit of tissue to stop any movement.  Wrapped the whole thing in tissue, tied with a bow.  Did this to make it more "gifty" looking once the brown paper was removed.
Here is the box:-

Box made with Tilda Paper/card from a Tilda Stack
SB Blossom Five for the Roses using bits and pieces from the stack
SB Butterfly Die
Ribbon, Pearl embellishments (made by me), lace all from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that you take time to call by
Till next time

  18. Hi Patricia,
now I do my ironing at about 6 am too as the only place for me to iron is in front of DH desk, as I set off all the smoke alarms with my steam iron, anywhere else. So it's done before he gets up, and wants to use his desk.
Love your superb box today, my it's soooooooooo! pretty.
    Beautiful roses as usual.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  19. Like Ang I think I would have been very wary about sending this via Royal Mail. It is gorgeous. Hugs Christine xx

  20. WOW! Now that is just eye popping gorgeous!!

  21. Wow! Patricia this is gorgeous, a lovely keepsake. The problem is always the packing. I used to work in the sorting office doing parcels and its no surprise how they get chucked about, not by people but technology, they are emptied out of the sack down a chute so if anything is not broken then it may well be later lol! They are then on a conveyer belt which we have to press a button depending on what area they are going to so down another chute they go before being thrown into a sack and sent on their way again, believe me they are sent down these chutes at such force there are loads broken in transit so I hope your beautiful creation got there in one piece.

    Love & Hugs
