I have taken the "Plunge"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any one who got here by pure chance!!!!  Welcome, I love to have to you visit, it brightens my day.  And man Oh! man does it need brightened today.  The weather here is so miserable, its so dark.
Anyway I have taken the plunge and used these:-

I have told you I had these Prisma Pencils.   They were a gift from John & Audrey ages ago.  I have always been frightened to use them they are so beautiful just to look at. One of the last things Kate said to me when we were waving her goodbye after our NEC trip was "get those pencils out and use them"
Well Kate my friend,  today is the day, I have taken the Plunge.  They are so wonderful to use, soft, smooth and they blend so well.
To be honest it was not what I intended to do today.  I was tidying up some bits and pieces in preparation for that..  I came across some "freebe" Digital images I had printed off for Robert to colour.  Amongst them were a few Besties Digital images I printed off for me!! I had forgotten about them.  They are quite large which helped as I am not that great at the colouring.
Here is the card I have created:-

Not perfect, it takes lots of practise for that, I have a lot of practising to do
However that`s the box opened and the pencils used.  I tried to outline the image but feel the colour I used is a bit too dark
Base, navy A4 card folded
Docrafts Capsule Collection paper from Candy I won on Carole Zs Blog
Papers I had printed Dots and Checks
Ribbon from my box
No Greeting, it has gone in the box, you never know, it  might get used.   Miracle's might happen and someone will want to "buy" it!!!!

That`s it for today
Off to get on with what I intended to do:-
Thank you for popping by today I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

  7. Now after giving yourself a gentle tap on the back of the hand from me for being so negative about your colouring skills Take a great big pat on the back cos this card is beautiful as is your colouring and I think the colour you have used to highlight the outline looks brilliant (I know we are so negative about our own work and see thing that perhaps others don't) but this is gorgeous - honest xx GailT xx

  9. Patricia I am going to have to totally disagree with you on the 'not perfect'. I know exactly how hard it is to blend with pencils (at least for ME!) and I think you've achieved PERFECT wonderfully well. This is awesome shading & you should be very proud of your effort. Even more so, if it's your first attempt. I find the Prismas to be 'harder' - which is why I tried the Polychromos...heard they were easier to blend. Your image is darling, your card is beautiful, and your coloring & blending on this image is just really superbly well done! So proud of you for taking the plunge!! Enjoy them. Hugs & TFS

  13. Thank goodness you have decided to open those pencil and use them, if our Gill saw them she would be so jealous, as you know she has her box of pencils and uses them, but the colour range you have would be right up her street as they say, Just think if we had half of those when we were little the fun we would have had. Love your card, Hazel x
