"A little bit of Stamping & Colouring"

Hello Blog friends, can you believe we galloping rather too quickly towards the "weekend"....again!!!!
Thank you for taking time to come visit me today, I love that you do that.
Nothing much happening here today, was not even much in the mood to do any crafting.  I have loads of kits to make up for the class on Tuesday.  I am not getting a good response from a couple of the ladies and it is making me a bit ...... oh! I don`t know how to describe it.  I will give you an example of their attitude.  A few of the ladies would like to make the "roses" some of the others don`t want to.  The "Rebels" said if they come to the class and only learn how to make "roses" it is a bit of a waste of their money.  They said they would rather come, make a couple of cards, they feel they are getting more value................talk about mean!!!   Where does learning new things come in???  I personally would rather learn new things than keep on doing all the usual stuff.  I have agreed to have another day at the Tearoom to show the interested ladies how to make the Roses.
I am not a stamper, I have loads of stamps, boxes of them actually, I do use them now and again.     I have to say I am in "awe" of those Crafter`s who Stamp and Colour all their wonderful creations.  Some of the colouring is amazing I would love to be able to do similar.   Anyway I have a card today that I have coloured, not great but I enjoyed doing it.  I have added "my signature" to it.  Well I cant make a card and not do that can I ??? see what I mean.......

Base card 6 x 6
Papers free with a magazine
White and Pink card stock
Image stamp free with a magazine, coloured using my Distress Ink Pads
SB Labels Dies
SB Blossom Five for the roses
Crealies Die for the Foliage
Pink and white card cut for the greeting that came with the image
That`s it for today
Thank you for popping by I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Chic but a little Shabby"

Hello fellow Bloggers and friends.
Another shocking day of weather here.  This is the morning I normally meet Hazel, it was so bad we decided to call off.   I know we are not nearly as badly effected as some people.  There is really no point risking anything by going out in the howling wind and lashing rain if it is not absolutely necessary.  Hazel if off work this week, her family are off on their Skiing Holiday.  Hopefully we can meet up before her break finishes!!!!   The weeks go so quickly these days.
Thank you for all your lovely messages yesterday.  I told Wilma what I had done and about all your beautiful comments.  She says "Thank you very much, your thoughts and prayers are very welcome and comforting"
Yesterday I had to keep myself busy, I kept thinking about Jackson.  The fact that Robert was born the very same day makes us so grateful for what we have.  Robert is a wee devil at times, other times he is such a little Angel................he is just a typical BOY!!!
Keeping busy meant "Crafting".  I sorted out my card and paper.  I had some sheets I had taken out and not used.  They are all back in the appropriate boxes, apart from a few that had curled up corners or a bit cut off them, decided to use them up.
Here is one of the cards I made, I will show some of the others later.  That means I have things to show you for a few days.

Base card is an odd size approx 41/2 x 8 I did not want to cut the piece of printed paper so I worked round that
Various colours of card stock, I distressed the pink card for a slightly shabby effect
Paper printed from Florigorphy CD 2 from Create & Craft
Corners cut from a Die I got in a kit I got some time ago.  It was a Becca Feeken Kit
I embossed the corners with gold embossing powder, sanded them back a little, again for a slightly shappy effect
Piece of lace from my box threaded with Organza ribbon
Bow from the same ribbon
SB Blossom Five Die for the rose
SB Foliage Die for the leaves

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by.  Hope to see you again soon.
Till next time
Hugs

"A Sad Card"

Hello Blog friends and followers welcome to my little corner of Blogland.  So glad to have you here, thank you for calling in.   If you are here for the first time "welcome" great to have you here.  Hope you pop back another day.
We have had quite nice weather here today, I certainly hope you have had similar.
Seven years ago past December my friend Wilma and I were waiting the arrival of new Grandchildren.  Our second, her first.  Neither of us knew what it was to be, so great excitement when on the 13th December she phoned to tell she was a Granny to a little boy.  We had just had a call telling us we had another Grandson, a brother for Thomas..
Two weeks later Wilma got sad news that Jackson had been born with a very rare Syndrome.  It meant that her little darling was Blind, Deaf and very severely disabled.  Today I got the very sad news that Jackson had died very early this morning.  A blessing for the little boy who is now at peace.  He has suffered so much in his seven years.  Poor Wilma, I popped along to see her this morning, stayed a while, till her son came round, it is his little boy.    Her son and his wife separated when Jackson was a year old.  That was sad, they each blamed one another for what happened.  Test actually proved they both carried the rouge Gene.
My card today is one I took along to Wilma although nothing anyone can say or do that will help at this point in time.  She knows I am at the end of the phone if she needs me.

Sorry it is shocking picture, took it a rush to get out the door.  I will try to post something later or early tomorrow before I go to meet Hazel

The image is from Joanna Sheen`s Eastern Treasures CD
I really like some of the tranquil images.  Only problem is there is often Chinese writing one them
and I have not a clue what it says........I always try to cut it off

Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Very Simple Wedding Card"

Hello Bloggers and followers, hope you are all well and coping with the weather.  As I type this, it is "fair and quite bright" will not say any more just in case it hears me.........!!!
Thank you for calling by, I hope you like what you see and call back again soon,   I love having you here.
Hazel and I had a great time at the Stampin Up Day yesterday.  Great Consultant (Emma) who had gone to a lot of bother preparing 3 projects.  Way, way different from the things I normally do but I loved that.   I know I get myself into my own "wee crafty world"  because of what I like to do.  I always say it is MY hobby so I can please myself.  I do try other things, although when I look back it does not last long and I am back with my old ways, and happy about it.
Bought a few Stamp Pads, I love the colours they do and the quality of the pads.  A few others things that you just have to have!!!!!!  Hazel and I bought some of the card packs which we will split between us.  All in all I think everyone enjoyed themselves.  Two of the ladies that cause me problems in the Card Class did the same with Emma, surprise, surprise.

This is a very simple wedding card.  I did not know the couple that very well but wanted them to have our Best Wishes
Base card approx 5 x 7
SB Paisley embossing folder
Piece of lace from my box
Another piece to tie a bow
Stick Pin
Paper flower
Computer generated sentiment

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time
 Hugs
