"My CuttleBug has Died"

Hello Blog friends, followers and all of you who call in, leave lovely comments but don't have a Blog for me to do the same for you.
Thank you for being there, it is what makes this Blogging Lark so much fun.
A bit behind, did not get any crafting done while the boys were here.  We love having them here although John prefers when they are not at school the next day.  That way than can "play" by running through the woods at the side of the house playing "Commando's".  They were asking if they can come Saturday to go out on their bikes.  Looks like we will have visitors again over the weekend.
A great sadness fell on our Kitchen on Friday afternoon.  I got out my CuttleBug to finish cutting out all the bits for Tuesday.  Got a few done, no "smoke" today.  The poor wee thing had had enough.........a bit of a bang then the sides fell out and I saw all the "gubbins" inside.  Lots of cogs, tried to put it back together but it was not having any of it.  A new one is on the way as I type , got the confirmation this morning.    When I told John he said Oh! dear, you better just order another I know how much you need it.  I have had that one for approx 10years it has done so much cutting out and embossing.  I just hope the new lasts as long. I do have my Grand Calibur and eBosser I can still work.
The sun is shining although we had a very thick frost this morning.   Spring is on its way though, I decided to do something to welcome it to our house.  When Elaine and I were in Glasgow we saw lovey wicker hearts in Primark for the the grand sum of £1.00 each.  We bought quite a few to use at the Craft Class.  Here is how I decorated one of mine.  It is hanging on my inner Porch door.

Heart from Primark
Various SB Dies for the flowers
SB Foliage Die
Organza ribbon MieFlower

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"Something very different for me"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passing visitors.
Thank you for popping in today, I love having you here.  I also get great pleasure from reading all your lovely comments.
Not a lot happened today apart from making up "Bags of Bits.  The ladies coming to the class on Tuesday asked if I could make up some bags with the bits we will be using.   They want to see if they can make the Roses themselves once they get home.  Sounds simple but Oh! My! Goodness! my arm is tired turning that handle.  I have an eBosser and a Grand Calibur but they take much longer.  My wee CuttleBug is best, I am sure I saw flames coming out the back.........LOL!!!
Had to go to Tesco to "stock up"  the boys are here overnight, I will take them to school in the morning.  John & Audrey are in Glasgow for a concert this evening.  Boys requested fish from the Fish Man for tea, got that as well.
When I met Hazel yesterday she gave me sheets of images she had embossed for me with her new embossing folders..........it`s great to share!!!
Came home and had a little play.  I got inspiration from a post that Jacqui http://jewelscardcraft.blogspot.co.uk did.  Jacqui please do not be offended, this is not nearly as good as you created, nothing like it actually.  BUT!! your post did get the little grey cells working when I saw it.  First one I did was a disaster.  Set that aside and tried again, this time a lot better. I made it into a card not that it might ever get used but you never know.  First one did not go to waste, I cut the flowers and tree trunk out of it.

This is not my kind of Crafting but I did enjoy doing it.
Will see what I can do with the other images Hazel did for me.
We go to the SECC a week on Saturday.  I am going to look for some different things when I go this time, some Glitter Sprays, Inks etc:-

Hazel did the image on beautiful Linen Effect card
Used TH Distress inks..........Faded Jeans, Victorian Velvet, Mowed Lawn, Walnut Stain to name a few.  I was really experimenting to be honest

Thats it for today
Thank you for your visit I appreciate it
Till next time

"Happy Anniversary"

Hello Followers, Blog Friends and anyone who happens to pop by for a look at what I get up to.
Thank you for taking time to call in, I love having you here.
Well folks I did my Craft Class yesterday and it was .......wait for it......very enjoyable.  I think the "rebels" have got the message.  One of them actually said that she had a great time and enjoyed the class..............Hooray!!!!!   We do the classes every other week however some of the ladies want to learn how to do the "roses".  Now as you can imagine there are of course a few who felt that it was not for them, fair enough I accept that.  Next Tuesday I am holding a class just to do "roses" .  I have cut out enough for them to have a go at "6"   Seems a lot for a beginners class BUT!!! I know the problems ahead and they will probably go home with half of that amount as actual roses!!!  I have made up packs so that if they have time they will go home with their roses on a card.  I made today`s card as an example of what they can do.  These are the colours for the class, they wanted pinks or lilacs   I used all the left over "bits" from my Mother`s Day Card to make the example.
Sorry if you find my card too similar but as they say "waste not want not".

I have cut out 3 of their roses in white so they don`t feel they are wasting good paper if they don`t get it right.  We all have to learn
Once they have mastered it they can go on to the nice floral stuff.......!!
I have actually used a white Rose on this card.  I  inked the edges with Dusty Concord Ink.  I also cut out all the foliage from white.  The little band of floral you see under the banner is to cover up the join of two scrap pieces rather throw them out
Right off to get dressed to go meet Hazel

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Mothers Day Card"

Hello Blog friends, hope you have all been behaving, I know what mischief you can all get up to in a few days.......LOL!!!
Got back safe but I really do not know who swapped my body on to these legs.........I am sure they are not mine they ached so much.   Miles of walking, shopping, on and off buses, all great fun.  So many laughs our sides and cheeks hurt.   Unfortunately we did have Elaine`s phone bleeping, playing funny music and what ever.  I told her it had to be switched off which she said she had done.  She said she had to bring it for the camera.  When it did go off I just walked away, not too far for her to get lost as unlike me she really does not know Glasgow.   I was really angry and she knew it, I do not want to fall out with her but that`s the last time we go away without a real good understanding as to the "phone" situation.  Elaine is supposed to be coming on holiday to Dalyan, Turkey with Hazel and I in June.  I am afraid it will "holiday" or "phone" but certainly not both the decision is hers.  I know I sound hard but for Hazel and I we don`t do phones on holiday.  We are away to relax end of story..........!!!
Thank you so much for popping by I really love to have you here.
