"Mothers Day in Pink"

Hello Blog friends, followers and casual passers by.  Welcome to my little corner of Blogland its a pleasure to have you here.  Thank you for taking time to stop and look, comments are always very welcome.
I have been a bit naughty not doing a lot of commenting these past few days ... sorry about that.   I have had a terrible cold, I have been dosing myself in an effort to be well enough to get to the Hobbycraft Show in Glasgow tomorrow.  Seem to have cracked it, still not 100% but as John told me I have never been 100% all the years he has known me so not to worry myself!!!!  Mind you I must have been worse than I thought, we popped to Perth this morning.  Needed to get a few things which could have waited but I thought a little trip out would do me good.  Glad we did, we were walking past a Travel Agents with bargain holidays in the window a couple of them caught John`s eye.  Now to let you understand we "DON`T" do package holidays have not done in donkeys years, always do our own thing.   Anyway we are off to Turkey for a week at the end of April.  Not one of the bargains I may add.   They were horrible flight times and hotels with all the noisy things for children.   Had to come home and have a good look at myself in the mirror......I think I look OK..................!!!!
Hazel, Elaine, myself and another friend are off to spend some pennies at the show tomorrow.  I really do not need anything but you all know the score......LOL!!!
I managed to get my head round making a card this afternoon, here it is:-

Base card 8 x 8
Pink Card a mixture of Lidl & Co-ordinations
Tilda patterned paper/card just bits from my box
SB Blossom Five for the Roses
SB Foliage and a Crealies Die for the leaves
SB Tag Die
MieFlower Organza Ribbon

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next Time
Hugs

"Texture & Embossing"

Hello Blog friends, followers and all who just popped by for a visit.  I thank you for taking the time to do that, I love having you here.
Welcome to Jessica who has become my latest follower, thank you for choosing to be interested in what I have to offer. I did link back to your Blog.   You have a Blog, I notice you have not been Blogging for a while.  Maybe you will start again soon it can be so much fun.
Did the "Rose Making" class yesterday, we had a great class ....... no rebels ..... they stayed well away.  I had one new lady who is in fact a very experienced Crafter but had never attempted doing Flowers before.   Really enjoyed having her there and from what she said she enjoyed the experience.  She does very "Grungy" type crafting, doing classes using the Gelli Plate, inks, paints etc:-  Have managed to persuade her to do some classes at the Tearoom.  So messy Crafting here I come.......!!!!  Do not know when she will be starting but I will be there, really looking forward to it.
My card today is different for me once again.  I enjoyed making it, I really have to get out of my comfort zone more ofter.  Looking at it again I have not come out of the zone too far, it still has my "signature" flower there. Anyway here it is:-

Base card 5 x 7 white card
Turquoise card from a Lidl Card Pack embossed with Brick effect
White card embossed with Bark effect inked with TH Frayed Burlap & Peacock Feather
SB Vintage Lace Die
Punched Velum Flowers pieces inked
Stamens WOC
Seam Binding Bow
Marianne Foliage Die
Odd piece of lace and a few pearls

"New Cuttlebug has arrived"

Hello Blog friends, followers and those who just pop by for a visit.  Thank you for taking the time to do that I love having you here.
Beautiful day here, cleaning all done, washing out what a difference the sun makes.
Debbie Fisher:- I love your cards BUT!! I am hopeless with "techie" stuff and don`t do Facebook so cant leave comments.....sorry!!!
Delivery van came 11.30 this morning with my new Cuttlebug.......how is that for service???   I ordered from Crafter`s Companion and have to say really was not expecting it to arrive till the middle of this week, I am one Happy Bunny.  Out of the box and straight into use.  Not nearly as sturdy as my original one but there you go, things move on.  The other thing is you don`t get a "C" plate, thank goodness I have my old one.  Why is this not supplied??? seems rather silly to me.  You need that for Die Cutting.

Box opened and had to play.................just to make sure it worked!!
Yes!! all OK even though it is not as sturdy it does the job.  Will have to treat it very carefully.  Note self:- do all the Bulk Die Cutting on the Grand Calibur.

Here is the card I made for "Test Purposes"

Gave it some gentle cutting to do
SB Labels .... a few of
SB Blossom Five for the Rose using Tilda paper/card scraps
White Foliage a Crealies Die from Joanna Sheen
Embossed piece from Hazel as well as the MB Frame

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate you do that
Till next time
Hugs
