"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, sorry I am late with my offering.   Erika over at http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/ started this some time ago.  Since then quite a few have joined in.  It is nice to see what we have done in the past and as for me how my Crafting has progressed and also changed.
My first foray into Paper Crafting was when I gave up my work to be at home to nurse John when he broke his back and his left arm in an accident.
My! Oh! My! you should see the space my "stash" takes up now......!!!!
From those humble beginnings I know I have come a long way.   I love nothing more than playing with bits of card/paper and glues, seeing what I can come up with.  I still do lots of other things, my hands can not be still.
Here is something I did just because I could:-

Just little boxes ....

But handy for these ....

Boxes were made from Cereal Packets
Covered with backing papers printed from a NitWit download
Made this a couple of years ago, it is still in use

That`s it from me for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Its those Blooming Roses again"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by, hope you are all well.  Thank you for taking the time to stop by my Blog.  I love having you here.
I woke this morning to the sound of lashing rain, did not get much better as the morning passed.  However by lunch time it was beautiful, sun was shining and the sky had lots of blue.  Even managed to have my lunch time cuppa sitting outside.  Thank goodness John hosed down all the chairs yesterday.  Mind you the rain would have cleared all the Grain Dust anyway.
John has gone along to J & As to put the boys to bed.........won`t ask when they eventually got there. I did remind him they had school tomorrow.  I offered to go with him but he likes doing this on his own .... I am too strict and have them in bed at Bed Time!!!!   Just noticed there is football on this evening so guess what???   I can just see the three of them sitting, eyes glued to the telly.....Oh! well, there you go.   Audrey (a midwife) is night shift tonight, she leaves the house approx 7pm.  John has been called to a meeting this evening, he will not be that late  .... Grandpa to the rescue.
I did not do any crafting today.  I was at the hairdresser having my haircut this morning.   Had lunch then helped Isobel barrow logs that her son had cut. We had a few fallen trees which he chopped last week and stacked the logs neatly down the lane at the side of our garden. This is something we have done for years with no problems.   There is a new lady in the village started walking her dog though the fields.   I just happened to see her walking up the lane very early the other morning.   This is most unusual no one other than us and Isobel ever uses the lane, its not private but it is also not that obvious.    I noticed she was carrying a bag that looked rather heavy.  I mentioned it to Isobel who discovered the "cut wood" pile had gone down quite a fair bit ........!!!!   None left now, it is all gathered and stacked at Isobel`s.
Trawled through my photographs, I don`t think I have shown you this one:-

Base card was 8x8 cut from A3 PMD card
Various white layers
White card embossed
Square made using Tonic Dies
Scrap of Tilda paper/card
Some Die cuts from my box
SB Blossom Five for the Roses using Tilda paper/card
SB Foliage lightly inked in the Die
Pearls from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you you so much for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Butterfly Wishes"

Hello Blog friends I do hope you are all well.  thank you for all you lovely comments on my Baby Blankie.  I am a knitter rather than a Crocheter, I did struggle a little with the Bunnies.  However I have cracked it and I feel each one will get better.  On the Pattern they have arms, I am still working on them at the moment.  A little patience and I will get there.
Woke up this morning to "fog" that you could not see through.  That cleared to give some really bright sunshine which of course did not last till lunch time.  It has been OK but it is really cold, more like end of September than August.  Have got out the furry slippers, left the UGG boots in hope that we might, just might get an Indian Summer......!!!!
They were cutting the crops round the Ranch yesterday Man! oh! Man! you should have seen the dust.  Everything is now covered in Grain Dust.  Closed all the windows and doors in hope to keep some of it out of the house.  So far so good, not too bad, did a quick dust round, it will be OK till cleaning time on Friday.  John is outside at the moment hosing things down. Tables and chairs are thick with the dust  .... not that we have the weather to sit on them.  That`s his job, John deals with all the outside things, I do the inside.  Outside is a much bigger area than inside so that will keep him busy for a while.  Hope he does the cars as well, they are really bad.  I should have put mine in the garage but I was out and in so many times yesterday I would have been exhausted opening and closing that garage door.  Keep telling John we need one of those "sapper" things for the door!!!
Here is my Crafty Offering  for today:-

Its a little bit fussy but that what was requested
White Card Stock
SB Paisley Embossing Board inked
SB Rectangle Dies  ... these are on a magnetic board with no name .... sorry.  I do keep them all in their packets now
SB Butterfly Die
Memory Box Die for the leaves
Waste bits for the little flowers
Pearls from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
For all my visitors that don`t have a Blog I love that you come visit.   I just wish I could return the favour
Till next time

"Baby Blankies"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who just happens by.  Welcome, welcome, I hope you are all well.  If not here are a few ((((hugs)))) in hope that they help.
Did my Card Class this morning, the rebels were there!!!!   I think they have had "personality transplants" over the holiday.   They were certainly much better before we broke up, but my goodness they were the life and soul of the class today.  They were really delighted with the cards they managed to make.  It made such a difference, I am quite looking forward to the next one.
We had terrible problems trying to Die Cut some things.  2 Grand Caliburs, a Cuttlebug and an eBosser and none of them were cutting properly.  I really think it was the Dies, they were all brand new and latest designs.   I feel these companies are churning out Dies at a "rate of knots"  If you are unlucky to get some at the end of a production run they are not nearly as sharp as ones from the beginning.
Anyway that`s today`s class over, just have think of something for the next one.  Will be doing any Die Cutting here rather than at the Workshop that`s for sure.
I have not been doing much Paper Crafting lately.  I have to have my hands busy at all times, I have been Crocheting.  I got a bag of wool from a friend, there was a BIG ball of white.  I decided to make some Baby Blankies.  I saw them on a website when trawling one evening.  It was a free pattern from ... thestitchenmommy.com  the cute little bunny is so sweet.  I have never crocheted anything other than a square before but the pattern for the bunny was actually rather easy to follow.  Must have been if I managed to work it out.
Here are mine which were snapped up by Elaine to sell at the Tearoom.  They have both sold now she is looking for more.

Pink for a girl

Blue for a boy

Just noticed a tiny little thread from sewing the eyes on the blue one

That`s it for today
Thank you for taking time to visit and comment I really appreciate that you do that
Till next time

"Box for a friend"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any one who is just popping in to see what I have on offer.  Thank you  for your visit, I hope to see you back again sometime soon.  I am trying hard to get round you all, sorry if I have missed anyone I promise I will get there.
Got lots of washing done yesterday, did intend ironing it as it came in.  Full of great intentions me ....... well it did not work out.  I did it this morning starting at about 5.30am yes! you read right.  I am an early riser, I get so much done in the morning then hopefully I get lots of "playtime" later in the day for being good.  That`s the theory does not always work though.
Today I have an Origami Box I made for a friend to show you.  I know she has received it so I can show it.
The biggest problem with this was thinking what to put it in to send it the 350 miles down the road via the Post Office.  We had had some Strawberries for lunch when I spotted the container.  Ah! Ha! got it, I placed the box between two containers with a little bit of tissue to stop any movement.  Wrapped the whole thing in tissue, tied with a bow.  Did this to make it more "gifty" looking once the brown paper was removed.
Here is the box:-

Box made with Tilda Paper/card from a Tilda Stack
SB Blossom Five for the Roses using bits and pieces from the stack
SB Butterfly Die
Ribbon, Pearl embellishments (made by me), lace all from my stash

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that you take time to call by
Till next time

"Four from one Sheet"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Hope you are all well, thank you so much for calling in to see what I have on offer.  I love to have you here and to read all your lovely comments. I have to apologise for being away from Blogging for a couple of weeks. I have not even been doing that much commenting either.   I am so sorry,  No real excuse .... I think I have been missing all the fun days either at home or away now the boys are back to school.   The cleaning regime at the Ranch had been sadly neglected for almost 6 weeks.  I really had to knuckle down and get things back on track.  John said that he could not understand "why" when we had not been in the house that much ....... RIGHT!!! it was the Housecleaning Fairy that had kept things going.......!!!!!  I had been doing the washing, ironing, cleaning of bathrooms and general tidying up.  However even with not being in much where on earth did all the "dust and fluffy stuff" come from, now tell me that!!!
Welcome to my Blog Margaret Bowe .... I have a feeling this is Margaretcorgieowner thank you for becoming a follower.  I have just noticed I have 144 followers.  I feel that I might have to gather a few things together and have a little "give away" when I reach the 150.
A couple of months ago I made a bit of a mistake with an order from C&C.  I don`t watch this much, I was Channel Hopping when I spotted animals being shown.  There was a CD and a kit on offer.  I thought I jotted down the number for the CD which might have been handy for the classes.  When the goods arrived it was the kit ..... silly me.  However I kept it anyway to use at the classes that are starting again on Tuesday.  I have made "4 cards from 1 sheet" I know a few of the ladies will say some of the images are too small to make cards with, here is what I came up with just to give them ideas.

The kit is by Pollyanna Pickering from C&C
A sheet of A3 PMD card
Some bits and pieces from my Bit Box

That`s it for today, I will be back again soon
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate your loyalty while I have been a very bad Blogger
Till next time
Hugs
