"Workshop make No.2"

Hello folks, 1st October and a wonderful day here in North East Scotland.   Hope it is the same for you guys.  Washing all done, just needs ironed.
Thank you for calling by, love to have you here.  Hope you like what you see and pop back some time soon.
I have been up and out at 6.46 these past two mornings.  John and Audrey usually have their work schedules well worked out between them.   Something not quite right this week!!!  Audrey doing two night shifts, John away during the day rather than working from home,  I have had to go along to be with the boys, get them up, breakfasted and off to school.  Not a big problem, just kinda knocks my day off balance.....I am well off balance at the best of times, so really no change there....LOL!!
Here is the second thing I made at the Workshop last Friday:-

It is actually a free standing calender.
For the life of me I cannot find the "side view" picture.
Card folded to give a "W" shaped stand in the centre and sealed along the top.  It then folds flat for
posting.
Background coloured using Distress Inks.   Spritzed and splattered with water, also stencils and stamps.  Butterflies were stamped, cut out and mounted over their image stamped on the background.
Little calender added then mounted on Kraft Card before being mounted on the base.
I love this idea and do intend making a few for gifts.

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

"First Workshop make"

Hello Blog friends, followers and poppers by.  Thank you for calling in to see what I have been up to.
Not a lot at the moment, still getting visitors bearing flowers and gifts.  Love having them, but it does steal away some of my free time.  Had wonderful visitors yesterday,  my niece Gillian and her lovely partner Andrew.   Gillian is a brilliant Podiatrist, she came bearing her bag of tools and did my feet.  I get her to do this every 2 maybe 3 months it is just fantastic.  I am fortunate to have very good feet.  The nails on my big toes are getting rather thick (bit like my head) I find them hard to cut.  I even managed to "skip" through my house works this morning.
I mentioned that I did a day of  Workshops on Friday (just one day of a three day Retreat)  in Aberdeen at the Papeterie.  It was really good, I  enjoyed every minute.  Hazel and I thinking about doing the whole 3 days at the next one in April 2015, still under discussion at the moment.
Here is the first thing we made:-

The packs were all made up with everything needed:-
Canvas which we painted with Chalk Paint
MME Joyous paper
TH Snowman Stamp & Die Set
Tattered Poinsettia Die
Plenty of Distress Ink Pads
I don`t normally do things like this but love seeing what other do
I really enjoyed this project and will be doing similar once I get a few Canvases.  Obviously does not have to be a Canvas.  I feel being the canvas you can keep it and bring it year after year

That`s it from me.  Off to bring in the washing and get it ironed
Thank yo so much for your visit I really appreciate you taking time to do that
Till next time
Hugs
