"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and coping with the snow, those who have it.  We have been very lucky so far. just a dusting of the "white stuff".  The mountains I see out of the kitchen window are really thick with snow.  Beautiful there,  hope that`s where it stays.
Thomas was to be going Skiing with the school yesterday and today then next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.    The Bus Company cancelled yesterday and today because of the weather forecast.   Believe it or not it was perfect weather for Skiing yesterday, good snow and the sun was shining.  More importantly the road was open and clear with NO problems.......poor kids are so disappointed.
Oldie for Friday was started by Erika at  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk  it is just a bit of fun.
It gives you a chance to show things you have made in the past. Does not have to be cards, any crafty thing made by you is what we want.  Tell you what folks  ...  if you ever stuck for something to Post on a Friday there`s your answer!!!!
Here`s mine for today:-

A selection of Pendants made to raise money for the Chemo Unit where my sister Hazel  http://hazelsbasketsofjoy.blogspot.co.uk/ had all her treatments.  We made and sold loads of these to raise money for their "Comfort Fund"   This is money they use for the comfort of patients going through Chemo Treatments.
Hazel had a check up a couple of weeks ago and once again got the "All Clear"
Thank God for all those clever people and the wonders of Modern Medical Science, I still have my sister/best friend.

Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that you take time to call.  If you do leave a comment I read them all and try to get back to your Blog if you have one.
Till next time
Be good and stay safe.
Hugs

Patricia  xxxx

If any of you have placed an order for the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set with Michelle.  There could possibly be a delay  ..  she is in Orlando, Florida at a Convention.  She is back on the 2nd of February

  2. What a lovely surprise for today Patricia these pendants are really lovely I bet you sold loads of them.
Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful news from Hazel's check up, it is wonderful what modern science can do these days. What a lovely and kind thing for you to do, to raise the comfort money for the hospital ward to give those in need a little extra comfort when they need it most.
We have had a really good dusting of the white stuff but it has cleared although we have black ice this morning. Our fells look magnificent especially now the sun has come out, but it is so very cold.
Such a pity the buses cancelled and spoiled such a lot of fun for all the children, lets hope that the trip can be re-arranged for them.
    Take care

  3. Health and safety gone mad again!!! When I think of living down in the south of Germany and the feet of snow yet the kids still were up at the slopes each day. I forgot it was Friday, oh our Pendents they raised and still raise pennies for the unit. Hazel xxx

  12. So pleased to hear that your Sister got the all clear again, I am so hoping my best friend gets the same result... Your pendants are gorgeous - not surprised you sold loads of them!

We have about 2" of snow here and it has brought our County of Cheshire to it's knees, schools closed.... can't imagine what would happen if we had lots of snow like Scotland gets! Hugs, Anne xx

What a shame for the kids. Only in the UK could we cancel a skiing trip because if snow!
Woke up to an inch on of the white stuff but its all gone now.
    Have a great weekend.

  18. Ah here they are, these wonderful pendants are a joy to see again Patricia.

What a pity the children missed out on the skiing, but it's best to err on the side of caution, I'm sure it will go ahead at a later date, hugs Kate x

  19. Hi Patricia, Gorgeous, gorgeous, pendants and beautiful colours too.
We have had two full days of snow, although this afternoon we got a bit of sunshine and it melted some of it, here's hoping it doesn't freeze tonight. I hate the stuff !! and unfortunately we are having a van load of logs delivered tomorrow morning, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow morning at least, because it takes us over two hours to move the logs from the front to the back and then stack them all haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  22. Hi Patricia

My daughter is a proud owner of one of these beautiful necklaces. The children in her class always comment every time she wears it it and is constantly having to let the girls in the class have a turn to to adorn their uniform with it.

If anyone is thinking of buying one of these beautiful necklaces through Hazel or Patricia, you will absolutely love your purchase and you get a1st class service, and it's for a fantastic cause too.

    Fantastic news For Hazel.XX

Big hug Ladies, you two do a Fantastic job X

  26. Hi again,
Just wanted to say that I love the Stampin up flower you used on your last post, it is stunning, I thought you had used an outline stamp and hand coloured the image! Such a fab idea having the multi layer stamps!
I want to come to your classes, or better still you could come and do one in my coffee shop, I think it would be very popular!
Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous demo!
