"Oldie for Friday

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and survived the storms.  It was horrendous here overnight.  It has calmed down now but they say there is more to come. Did not sleep much last night so might just have to have 40winks this afternoon.
I am in a bit of a muddle, I am Annie Sloaning a couple of little chests of drawers that have been out in the Garage for a few years.
I suddenly remembered it was Friday so here I am with a very quick Post.

I imagine the card would have been approx 5 x 7
SB Edge Dies for the Zig/Zag
Marianne Doily Die
This is an old card,  look at the "Roses" ... they are bought ones from Wild Orchid Crafts
American Seam Binding from them as well
Sentiment from Pink Petticoat
Bakers Twine for the little bow

A few of you have asked about how I make my "Roses"
I have a "very crude" tutorial back on 4th November 2012   I have spent absolutely ages trying to get this as a link ...  sorry no luck.  I am so hopeless on the computer it makes very angry with myself.  I definitely need to go have that lie down NOW!!!  My Annie Sloaning will have to wait till I fully recover from this trauma....LOL!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by and for your patience with my ignorance
I really appreciate that you take time to come visit me
Look after yourselves stay safe in these horrible winds
Till next time
Hugs

Hi again, I thought to calm myself down I would do some commenting  ....  well another annoyance added.    I just cant get my comments to publish....AAAHHH!!!  Sorry folks I  "AM" looking and admiring.    Hopefully things will sort themselves out later.

  1. You have made me smile this morning with your post. First off I love the card and I got so tickled about you trying to get the link done. Girl I'm right there with you. I just can't seem to do that; I'm definitely getting old!

  2. Well big sis join the club, I tried to link Erikas blog to my post and it just wasn't playing, Love your oldie with your gorgeous flowers. I thought maybe it was the Annie Sloan paint that was causing all the problems. You will have to show your painted pieces when they are all done. Well have been making the mock up of Gillians and Andrews invites, wrote down everything and now I can't find what I have done with it. Hazel xxx

  3. Yes, wow, what a night. 114mph recorded on anoch Mhor next to us, but probably their equipment won't record above that. No sleep for us, so will try to nap later since a few more days of this to come, hopefully not as bad.
Love the card, your flowers always look great.
Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by Annie Sloaning?

  16. Hi Patricia, Loving the earthy colours on this card, it is lovely.
I haven't got a clue what 'Annie Sloaning' means, is it upcycling old furniture, with paint etc ??
It has been really gusting here but nowhere near as bad as you have had it, I'm really scared when it is really bad wind, and prefer to stay indoors, I'm a right scaredy cat haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  22. Oh Patricia, you have just said and expressed the very feelings I have had today - I try so hard on the computer but it never seems to do what I want either....... hope a rest helped you though.

Your card is so beautiful, but then all your cards are beautiful!

  23. Patricia, it's a lovely card and I really like the sepia tones. Well done! Hope the nasty storms don't return with such ferociousness. Hazel may be able to help you with the linking...or if you want to leave me a comment with your email address, I might be able to help you (I'll try anyway! I moderate comments so no one but myself will see your info). It's really not difficult, just need a little 'how-to'. We all have to learn. Good luck with the blogger boo-boo. I think (hope) my insurance rant may have gotten resolved today. I'll know if we get the medications!!! Happy wkend, TFS & big hugs. (oh yes, I had a nice little cozy nap this afternoon too).
