"Who stole my week???"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Can you believe it .... last day of January already!!!!  Not only that I seem to have lost part of my week.  If anyone finds it could they send it home, I could sure use it.
I have the boys coming for a sleepover tonight.  Plenty supplies in, although I did pop to Tesco in Blairgowrie for "Grandpa`s Special Bread" ...  a crusty white loaf which they love. with Homemade Jam.   Why it ever got that name we don`t know.   I don`t eat bread  much, John really only eats Brown Bread.   Think we might have said Grandpa has a "special treat" when they come and gets some white bread.  Crusty Bread and extra milk and we are set for anything.
Do you ever have an idea in your head for a card BUT when it`s finished it bears no resemblance to what you had in mind????  Well that`s what has happened today.  I was rummaging and found a piece of Anna Griffen paper I think I might have been saving ... why??? I do not know.  Anyway I used have used it,  here is my card.  Certainly not what I started out to do but there you go:-

Base card 6 x 6 approx
It started off as a Burgundy Base but looked awful when finished, far too dull. I chopped it and mounted it on white .. much better.
Impression Obsession Large Flower, Tiny Flowers  and Tiny Leaf Dies,
SB Foliage Die for the bigger leaves
MS Punch for the fern like bits
There is bit of a Die cut Trellis lurking in the background.   I found it kicking about so thought I would use that as well.
Some Glue and glitter for the centres of the flowers

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate that you do that.
Enjoy your weekend
Hugs

Patricia xxx

  2. Hi Patricia
Well, I did say in the week that the time thief had been on the rob in our house so I think he's ventured to Perthshire to see what he can pinch there.
Smiling as I've just finished a card using similar flower colours. . . . . trying to pretend its nearer Summer than it is lol!
Didn't realise Anna Griffin did papers too and lovely ones by the looks. Your card is a work of floral art.
Can't beat a bit of bread and jam (I'm down to my last jar of homemade pear and raspberry)
Enjoy your time with the boys.
    Best wishes.

  7. It might not be what you had in mind but it is still fab - luv it xx love how children's minds think - many years ago my OH bought me a box of chocolates for my birthday to be given from our son (our daughter wasn't born at the time) he told him it was a secret until my birthday - for years after our son called a box of chocolates a box of secrets - sometimes it seems a shame that they grow up xx enjoy the rest of your weekend and your time with the grand kids xx GailT xx

  31. Not sure what your original intent was, but your finished product certainly ended just beautifully. What a lovely & dimensional bouquet you produced with much welcomed spring colors. Am loving the way the bouquet cascades down the soft vintage floral paper..I'm so glad you discovered the bits & pieces and created a stunning card for our enjoyment!! Hope the sleep over was great fun. TFS & Stay warm.

Your card is stunning, I have found another Impression Obsession a'holic! I love their dies, so intricate, mind you those little fern dies take some cutting out! So worth it though for that realistic finish!
Look forward to your next card,
