"Been Mega Busy"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any passers by, welcome, I love having you visit.
I know there are a few of you who are not too good at the moment so I am sending you these (((((hugs))))) please help yourself.
After a slow start we ended up with a rather nice day here.  Washing all done, some of it ironed but the bedding will have to wait till tomorrow.  I am really tired, did not realise Crafting could be so tiring.
The people who have been visiting my Blog for the past couple of years  know my friend Elaine has a Tearoom where I have a cabinet to sell some of my things.  Well I have been very busy making things to put in there.  I have not been making so much as I have been suffering from a very sore left wrist since last October.  I was finding using my GC, Cuttlebug or BigShot quite difficult and as for my eBosser it is a right "waste of space" I really do not like it.  I have just been doing things slowly and not as much as I would have liked.   Anyway wrist a lot better so it was down to work yesterday and today. OMG!! you should have seen the mess, we have had to eat in the Dining Room rather than the kitchen where it much more cozy.  We are all tidy once again.  I am going to spread my makes out over the coming week as I know I will not be making much.
Here is the first:-

Bags cut using an XCut Die and Centura Pearl Card.
The Bag Die is brilliant but it is rather sharp and cuts through some card rather than just embossing the fold lines.  I find Centura Pearl one of the best to use.
Woodware Punch for the petals cut from White Vellum coloured using Spectumn Noir Pens
SB Foliage Die for the leaves plus leaf Dies from Sue Wilson`s Rose Set
Organza Ribbon from Meiflower

My leaves started like this:-
Then this:-
To this:-
I did add some more brown before I cut them out.
This is a great method for leaves I always struggled to get a shade of green I liked when I was cutting leaves.

That`s it for now
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it
Hopefully I will get round to visiting you all sometime later or tomorrow
Till next time

Patricia xxx

  1. All Beautifully done and take it easy now your getting better. Which you are. I find it does tire you out doing art of any kind if you spend over and hour or so and concentrate. It does me.

  2. Evening Patricia wow you have been very busy these are absolutely stunning and the flowers and the colours are beautiful.
The overall design is wonderful. who wouldn't like to get a gift in one of these.
Sorry to hear your wrist is still playing up now you've been crafting today give it a rest to recover.

    Hugs Debs xx

  3. Patricia, I loved these when you messaged me the photo of them. I love making these. Take it easy, Hazel xxx

  4. These are so gorgeous Patricia. The designs are beautiful and your flowers look so pretty and delicate. I am definitely going to attempt colouring my card as you have done for my leaves, the effect is wonderful.
    Sending hugs, Sue xx

  5. These are very pretty bags Patricia, beautifully embellished. Carol x

  6. Beautiful boxes Patricia and great idea for doing leaves. I quite agree the ebosser is a waste of money. I absolutely hate mine.

  7. Hi Patricia,
Your gift bags are gorgeous! Sorry to hear your wrist has been painful. Try not to overdo things now it's on the mend! We all do that I think. I will be trying your leaf method also as it's very effective and realistic. Your little flowers are beautiful. I like them! Did you guess?
    Love Myra xx

  8. Absolutely stunning bags Patricia your flowers look exquisite as do your leaves. Talking about leaves, PMD I have heard have a new green shade of card so as they have a shop again at Rheghed about 30 miles away I am going to check this out, will let you know.
Please take care and as little sister says take it easy.

  12. THese are fabulous gift bags Patricia, love your beautiful flowers and leaves, glad your wrist is a bit better.. miss using my punch`s, my right hand and wrist is to painful now to use them..
    Hugs Pam x

  13. Hi Patricia
The bags are divine as are the vellum flowers. These will fly out of the cabinet.
I use a piece of foam to blend and dab my colours on a sheet of card for leaves. Never thought of using the whole pad but would save time and elbow grease.
    Have a great week.
    Ang x

  14. What stunning g bags Patricia and those flowers are like porcelain, so very pretty. I too have weak wrists and wear special gloves that help a lot. Hugs Rita xxx

  15. As usual, your gorgeous flowers make these bags a stellar project. The brilliance of the colors against the pearl, is so very pretty. Tfs how you color the leaves...this is a great tip, and I'll be trying this. Glad that your wrist is improving. Interested to learn you're not thrilled with the eBosser. Saw several people at the recent stamp show using those in the booths to demo projects. I don't use the GCalibur much, just when I have to use an oversize folder or die. My B/Shot is handy, so I just use it mostly. Happy wk ahead, and hope you all had a grand V. Day. TFS & Hugs.

  16. Hi Patricia

Yet another set of stunning flowers to adorn those beautiful boxes, I love the technique for the leaves, but your flowers are magnificent.

    Big hugs

  17. These are lovely. I am sure they will fly out the door of the tearoom.

  18. Oh WOW I love these cute bags. How big are they Patricia, Im thinking maybe a good make for Easter- the Easter hunt bags for children ? Can I have the measurement in old money please lol Im of that age where I dont do new money lol.
Glad to hear your wrist feels more comfortable. Dont overdo things though or you will be back to square one !

    Have a good Monday.

  19. These are just gorgeous fabulous gifts and stunning as well.xx

  20. Morning Patricia,
Lovely bags, beautiful flowers as always. My G/C has died on me so after much faffing about what to buy I have ordered the new Big Shot Plus, I was going to get the E-Bosser but have read a lot of negative reports on it so that's why I went for the Big Shot.
Take care you don't overdo it and make your wrist painful again.

  21. I do love these little bags! I am very interested in your method for leaves! Great ideas here this morning!

  22. Gorgeous little bags Patricia, your embellishments on them are beautiful, I realy must get a hold of the die.
Great way of doing the leaves thank you for showing it.
Be careful with that wrist though, don't be overdoing it, take care, hugs Kate x

  23. I bet your dining room isn't as bad as my craft room, hubby has now started to call it a fire hazard! ;D
I love all of your bags and you've created great texture with your leaf colour.

    Happy Monday, hugs Erika. x

  28. Hi Patricia, So glad to hear your wrist much better, although do take it easy, just in case !!! haha.
Fabulous gift bags, and a brilliant technique with the colouring before cutting out the foliage, what a fabulous idea, thank you, I will try this.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  29. Wow Patricia these are beautiful and as always you make the most amazing flowers - I know what you mean about the die cutting through card - I bought this die after seeing Hazels makes and you both advised me to use some copy paper with the card which helped but I haven't used Centura card so will give it a go - not sure if you know (& sorry if you do) but if you spritz your inked card with water it will mix the colours - if they are Distress Inks as they activate with water and you can either leave to dry naturally or heat set - you can flick water on it to get some really fab effects too - sorry if you already know this but I only leant this through attending project days and I must say it is fun to see what you end up with xx let me know if you already know about it or if you don't and you have a play with this messy crafting xx GailT xx
