Pink Peonies this time!!

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the wonderful weather we are getting in the North East of Scotland round the Perthshire area.  Still extremely cold but Hey! Ho! the sun is shining, the skies are blue.  I don`t really do going out in the cold but it is good to look out and think that Spring is on its way.
I did venture out to meet up with my sister Hazel
yesterday.  We had chatted on the phone the night before for almost 2 hours.  Both our hubbies said "well there will be no need to meet up tomorrow then" ....  how silly can these men be???? Hazel and I often go away together, we also have a whole week away every year.  We can go to bed chatting and still find something to chat about when we get up the next morning.
Well with all the chatting on the phone then the meet up I did not have much time left for crafting,
I had been "playing with paper" making some more flowers when I found some time.
Here it what I used some of them for:-

Crafters Companion A3 Card for the box
Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur Dies and Stamps for the flowers
HC Die for the leaves.
Couple of Stick Pins
A tag stamped with a tiny stamp from
I colour a sheet of A4 card with all the shades of green Distress Ink I have plus some orange, yellow and brown, blend them together as much as I can.  Leave to dry, I then have great card for cutting out foliage. gave this technique on a show at C&C.

A few of you said the flowers looked like Peonies.  Yes! when I looked at them you are right.
Janice Wallace who`s mum was a florist said they were "Ranuculus" is that maybe the technical name for Peonies?
Littlelamb sending you a few (((((hugs))))) in hope they help ease the pain of that shoulder
I send (((((hugs))))) to anyone out there who might need them, please help yourself.

That`s me for today
Thank you so much for your visit, I really appreciate it
Till next time

Patricia xx

    Take care

  5. Hi Patricia,
Your little box is gorgeous! The flowers are beautiful . I thought they looked like peonies but I think ranunculus is probably nearer as they are smaller flowers so scale wise make more sense! Not sure I'm making sense mind you! Your colours too are just right. A beautiful gift - even with nothing inside!
Wish I had a sister too. Got a brother and he's not bad as brother's go but I would have loved a sister. My DIL is lovely though and we have fun.
Have a lovely day in sunny Perthshire! It's dull here but dry.
    Love Myra xx

  6. Absolutely gorgeous, the flowers are breathtaking!!!!

  7. Another beautiful creation and again amazing flowers - I like the look of these dies and stamps and I was a bit tempted after seeing them used on another blog - even more tempted now!! oh dear!! just purchased Sues finishing touches Fronds so I will never have any money!! Lol xx GailT xx

  8. This is gorgeous. Those flowers are awesome..

  9. I am in total awe of your flowers Patricia, they are utterly gorgeous! I don't think Peonies are related to Ranunculus. Ranunculus are heavily petaled flowers (my Daughter had them at her wedding last year) but Peonies tend to have a closed petal shape, just like your beautiful creations! Whatever they are, they are gorgeous! Hugs, Anne xx

  10. Wow! These are stunning! Now I need to learn to do Peonies! I love them anyway and yours are gorgeous!

  11. Such a beautiful box Patricia. Your flowers are truly stunning and I love the way you have coloured the leaves.
It sounds like you have such a lovely friendship with your sister Hazel, every time you mention her I can tell how much you mean to each other.
    Thanks again for the hugs.
Sending hugs to you too, Sue xx

I must have a go at this.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  13. Oh Patricia this is absolutely gorgeous, I could sit and look at your flowers all day, almost as good as the real thing. They are definitely peonies ranunculus look quite different, more shallow. Hugs Susan x

  14. These are fabulous Patricia, look so real, would make a beautiful bouquet.

    Love & Hugs

  27. Whatever species they are - they are just lovely! (I am not sure I know exactly what peonies look like!). Love another of your delightful little boxes too. What treasures it could hold. So pleased you & Hazel had a wonderful time being sisters together on an outing, and hope you found lots of luscious craft goodies and had a delicious meal together. How lucky you are to have each other, and share your skills in this hobby you both are so good at. TFS & Hugs.

  28. Hi Patricia,
I Truly Love your amazing Box and your Flowers, and Foliage are just Stunning, you are so very talented, I'm rubbish at making flowers, I can make if I've got Sue's Die's but I don't have all, other wise I cheat and buy from Wild Orchid.
    Take care Patricia

  32. Hi Patricia
Ranunculus are not a bud shape and always look like tissue paper flowers to me so these beauties shout peony to me.
Will have to get my SKF out and have a go at these.
When sisters haven't got anything to say to each other is the time to worry lol!
    Have a great weekend.

  33. Definitely peonies and ABSOLUTELY stunning at that! Jenny x
