"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any passers by.  Welcome to my Blog, hope you like what you see and call again soon.
Beautiful morning here after a horrible rainy day yesterday.  Off to get the washing hung out and the house cleaned.
Can hardly believe that this time (7.15am) last Friday Hazel and I were taxing down the runway of Edinburgh Airport on our way to Belfast.  Who stole last week................????
Oldie for Friday was started by Erika over at:- http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
It is just for fun ...  any crafting you have done in the past is what is wanted.
Here is mine for today:-

A little posy of flowers I made rather than decorate a Horseshoe.  The boys presented this at a wedding we attended back in May 2011.
The instructions came from a Craft Magazine .... I wish I had kept the Magazine, I don`t have a clue how to make those flowers.

Thought I would throw these into the mix...... not old, taken on Wednesday when I was out for a walk.
The road back home ...
What surrounded me on my walk
The one below is looking back to the village from the Main Road.  It is there hidden in the valley.
Our Village is just a few houses.  No shop no nothing !!!!  The tiny village school closed years ago along with the church
OK ..... enough!!!

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

They look like you made funnels, arranged them from the centre with a fan like circle of card in the middle (I know what I mean lol) Sue Wilson Cornflower die would make the perfect centre to these funnel type flowers, im so sorry if I make NO sence at ALL lol : 0

How Id just love to live in the peace and beauty as you do Patricia.
Sending love and a happy day to all.

  9. Hi Patricia,
oh what a really great Oldie.
I do remember this, and how beautiful it was.
The flowers are very striking, and very unusual.
Yes it's a pity you didn't keep the magazine, as I'm sure we would all like to know how to make them.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  11. This is really pretty does the magazine have a web site - could there be back issues or favourite makes on there? I'm lucky enough to live in a garden city so we have the best of both worlds, lots of amenities and beautiful countryside near by

  21. Hi Patricia,
These are simply stunning, and thank you to Chloe's Gran, I'll look on the site she mentions when I finish this.
It looks idyllic where you live, and I'd love to live somewhere like that, but I think as I've lived in the City all these years, I'd take it hard.

  24. Hi Patricia,
Love the bouquet, and if anyone wants to try, here is a link.

Haven't tried them yet, but I had thought they looked good.
Like the pics from your walk, Perthshire is such a lovely area. My brother in law and family lived in Blairgowrie for a few years and we loved visiting him there. They are in France now, so harder to pop over for a weekend.
    Cheers
