"Robert`s Izzy Bag and Heart"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Thank you for your visits, I love having you here.  I read all your lovely comments, I appreciate you doing that, it makes this Blogging Lark much more fun.   To all who do NOT have an active Blog, I am pleased that you take time to leave me messages. I feel a little guilty that I cant get back to return the favour.
Hope you all had a good day yesterday.  For all who found it a sad time remembering Mum`s recently lost I am sending some (((((hugs)))))  I know all of us including myself who`s Mum`s died many years ago were still sad and thinking of them.  Our mum died when I was 23, she is in my thoughts daily especially when I am cooking.  We had good old fashioned wholesome food in those days.  Fresh cooked from scratch every day. When I making certain things Mum made and we loved, she is always there.  I can feel her standing beside me.  Not that she was ever critical of any of our efforts, I just know she is there.  I try hard to make things taste as good as hers, it is good but never "just quite there".
Here is Roberts Izzy Bag:-

He also made the MDF Heart
The flowers on the Heart are Air Dry Clay which he loves playing with
I did help him a little with the bag.  That`s the first one he has made.  The bows are made from the same paper covering the Heart.  I made the bows, he did say he was not going to use them.  Once the bag was made up he changed his mind.  Actually I thought the bag was better without.....he was the boss on this one!!!!!

For those of you who have not heard of Izzy Bags  .... Izzy is a follower of Sue Wilson`s Blog.  Izzy made some bags and sent them to Sue to show her what she had done with Sue`s new Dies.  Sue showed them on her shows on C&C, lots of ladies loved them.  Izzy kindly sent all the info to Sue`s Blog so we could have a go at making them.  As most of you know I love making that sort of thing, it was a Win Win for me.  I have made loads, they actually hold a lot.  I have done a few with Easter Eggs (small Easter eggs )  Others I have filled with Travel Products as gifts for friends I know are going off on Short Breaks.

That`s it from me for today
Thank you so much for calling in I really appreciate that you take time to do that
Till next time
Hugs

  12. Hi Patricia,
Oops, I think you should let Robert take over the blog. These are gorgeous. Isn't it great when children take an interest in what interests you, he's certainly got the gift. The clay roses are beautiful as well, and finish the heart off to perfection. I can see he'll be teaching classes soon!! (If that sounds condescending, believe me I don't mean it to).

A question for you, is Robert going to have a cabinet of his own at your friends tearoom? Just think of the extra supplement for his pocket money!

  22. Hi Patricia and Robert,
Oh wow Robert your bag is amazing and the heart is lovely with the flowers and leaf on, well done.
I can see there is some very talented children around :-) they will grow up to good people.
You were so young loosing your mother but of course you will never forget her. Sometimes a smell or something on the radio will remind me of my Mother-in-law, who was the sweest you could meet. I miss her every day. I have Mothers day in May too so still some time to make a card. Have a nice day Hugs Maria x

  23. Hi Patricia,

Wow, can't believe these were made by a 6 year old!!...even if Robert is now a little older than when you first typed up your profile he's still done a fabulous job on both the bag and that pretty heart with the air-dry clay flowers - I love that stuff myself, it's so much fun to play with. I'm really impressed, even though using a die is a great help in making a project look professional it still has to be put together skilfully and he's certainly done that...top marks Robert!...and btw I'm with him on the bows too...lol

  30. I feel the same way about my Mom - sometimes she is very close, although she has been gone nearly 19 yrs. Strong influence...good influence too! Easy to see the crafting gene is strong in your family. Robert has done a marvelous bag with this die, love the colors he chose. The pretty bows are a nice touch as well...his work, he gets to do the design decisions! He did well. TFS & Big hugs back to you.
