"Working on my PHDs"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who might just have pressed a wrong button and landed here!!  Don`t go please stop and have a look, I would love you to did that.
The title of the post sounds good the PHD bit I mean???  Well believe it or not you must all have them .... Projects Half Done!!!
I always seem to have loads ...  you finish something, there are all the bits left over.  In your mind you have a project that will use them up, you figure it all out then of course something else take priority and its left.  That`s what I am talking about, well here are a few of the things I finished off the other day.  I went to the "bundle" that seemed to be getting rather out of control and decided "RIGHT" get it tidied up.  Here are a few cards I made.  I am going to make a box for the finished lot and give them to a friend.  Shes not getting out much, I feel it might help if she needs the odd card for something.

All the base cards are made from leftover projects bits.   I use a lot of A3 card, that does leave bits that are perfect for Base Cards.
All the additions are just "bits"
Happy Birthday cut from scraps.
Papers on the first two were experiments with stamps. I cut out the bits good enough to use. I am not a stamper but I do like to play with them.
Pictures on the middle two are recycled from cards one one of my neighbours gave me.
Last two a tiny picture of a rose that I thought was pretty and a piece of lace I rescued after I spilt tea over a card I was working on.  Lesson there folks:- don`t have your cup of tea anywhere near what you are working on!!!

Right that`s it from me for today
Thank you for your visit, I really appreciate that you take time to call by
Till next time
Hugs

  1. Morning Patricia what gorgeous cards like you I have loads of PHD cards and they are growing daily. But I think you have inspired me to finish them. And I will give them to The Air Ambulance as I make lots of my cards for them.
The weather here looks like its going to be a hot day.
    Have a lovely day Patricia.

  6. Morning Patricia,
I do this every wee while too. I feel good getting a little bit cleared up, and it's great to give someone, or the charity shop, a box of cards to use.
There are some beauties in this selection, I love the little framed rose, great idea for a small image you just love.
Have a good day, and hope it's drier than here

  9. I have a stack of PHD's and printed pieces that I put onto an A4 piece when printing something specific from Serif and there's a space. I really MUST use them but like you say something else takes priority!
I bought the diagonal border you used the other day (have I already mentioned that) It made my mind up after drooling over them since their launch!
I'm off to get the Score-Bug now after seeing your card on Sandra's blog

  13. Oh I loved your title. You just gave me a huge instant Degree! Sounds much better than UFO-s! Gosh, you have a wealth of beautiful cards made from your bits & pieces. Each one is just a little wonder, and I especially liked the tiny rose. And that lovely gorgeous lace trim. You definitely have a good eye at placing the bits & pieces from the pile to make something of beauty. It's a kind thing to cheer your friend this way also. TFS & have a good week. H ugs

My goodness, you have been busy.
    Each and everyone as smasher.
No time for much in the crafting line until the weekend when I have the luxury of 3 days off in a row.

  23. Morning Patricia, PHD's I have absolutely loads, and not just cards either lol, I have some roman blinds I started a couple of years ago and put to the side, loads of knitting half done and then put to the side, and it doesn't stop there hahaha. My hubby is another one too, I remember over 30 years ago my hubby and my Son (sadly no longer with us) decided to make a snooker table, they got it to the stage where they could actually play on it, and that was that !! it never got finished haha.
Well done for working through your PHD's.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  24. good morning Patricia
Some fabulous cards your friend will be delighted with them I am sure how thoughtful of you.
Yes I too have plenty of PHD one rather large on name a quilt not even half complete but some day it will get done the problem is card making takes priority, cards are so much quicker to complete that a quilt!
Well perhaps next week I will have time to complete some card PHD's once I am a bit more mobile! Well that is the plan promise.

A great selection of cards for future occasions there Patricia. Well done.

    Happy crafting, hugs Erika. x
