2 more from the Bit Box

Hello Blog friends, followers and casual visitors.  Welcome to my corner of Blogland, hope you are  all well and enjoying the start of another weekend.  Mind you who stole the past week...........!!!
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my "shoe" inspired card.
I have another 2 cards to show you using bits from my "Bit Box".  I don`t keep lots of bits so the box looks quite neat.  I also have another box I keep unused Dies Cuts, their negative bits and some embossed pieces of card.
I also have a bag that I put lots in for the school.

Card No 1:-

Card No2
 Bit Box
 Bits for the cards

Both cards are cut from left over PMD Hammered Card and are 5 x 5
SB Classic Heart Die to cut the aperture
MB Die (I think it is called Tumbling or Trailing Vine)
I cut the Vine out 4 or 5 times, cut it up to fit behind the heart
I feel it give a "lazer cut" effect
SB Dies (2 in the set) for the sentiments
Just noticed the pink card is not in the shot of the Bits, it was in the box though

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by, I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any passers by.  Welcome, I love that you take time to pop in.  Thank you for all your lovely comments, it makes it all worth while.  I have a new follower, unfortunately I can`t find who it is.   Would like to put your hand up, shout out and tell me who you are!!! I would just love to know your name.  I also had a lovely comment from a new visitor called BrigetCG thank you very much.
It was extremely windy here yesterday, we even had to move the cars.  We have lots of trees which were blowing badly in the wind.  If a tree had come down on the garage my poor "Rosie" would have been trapped.  We have lots of room in front of the house so the cars were moved there.  Luckily all the trees are still there, well they were before it got dark and we could see them!!!
Nothing exciting yesterday, no overturned cars, unexpected visitors ..... all good to go and "play"
I will show you the results another day.   Today is Friday when we show "oldies" started by Erika over at  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk   this is where we show work that we have done in the past. It does not have to be cards, it can be anything you have made and would like us to see.  Go ahead its just a bit of fun.
Here is mine:-

My card was inspired by these:-

I had been out with these shoes on and thought they could be inspiration for a card so there you go ... you can gain inspiration anywhere or from anything.
A very simple card
Base card approx 6x6 I would think
Navy card
White card
Cheery Lynn Chrysanthamum Die Strip
SB Butterfly Die
Pearls and ribbon from my stash

I love those shoes, really like wearing them.  They are old but still good and very comfortable.
Wish it was the weather to wear then again!!!

That`s it from me for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

Almost forgot!!!  a few of you mentioned the "frames" I had made for the card in my last post.
They were cut using a set of Square Deckle edged Tonic Dies.  The set has LOTS of dies from tiny to approx 6x6.  I selected two leaving the out the one that would come between.....cut them out and you have your pretty frame

3 from the Bit Box

Hello Blog friends, followers and visitors, welcome to my corner of Blogland.   I hope you are all well, keeping warm and cosy.  If you are a little under the weather I send some (((((hugs))))).  Help yourself if you think they might help.  Oh! just help yourself we can all use "hugs" any time any day.    I have had a couple of new visitors recently ...  Myra, Janice & Swiftycrafter.  They don`t have Blogs, also Sandra who does have a beautiful Blog  http://cotswoldcrafter.blogspot.co.uk/  I hope you pop in today, thank you so much for your lovely comments.  Thank you everyone for your loyalty and encouragement.
Well folks I only managed a little "playtime" yesterday.  My neighbour Isobel donned her "wellies" and made it across for the afternoon.  Her son and his partner have split up, she just needed someone to chat to.  So a few cups of tea, some tears, then a dose of good old laughter Isobel went home a whole lot happier than she was when she arrived.
I had started to get some bits from my Bit Box together to make a few cards before she phoned asking to come across.   I pushed them to the side overnight and got on with putting them together this morning.  I had cleared a lot out of the Bit Box (mainly Christmas stuff) and found some nice bits that I thought I could use.
Here are some I made:-

Base cards are bits of A3 sheets PMD Hammered card.
I use lots of this card, I had a fair amount of  3 maybe 4 inch strips which I usually cut & fold to make cards for the boys to use.  I actually do like making little cards myself.
Last week I  was showing Robert how to use the Distress Inks.  I had a few bits coloured during the teaching process.  Mine of course were pinks, purples and Blues.  I have used these to make some cards.
Sympathy Card I stamped a Die Cut square with a very old Memory Box Drift Flowers Stamp.
Card on the Pink Spot Envelope I used a Memory Box Die (Stuck on a magnetic sheet no Idea what it is called)
Other pink card is a Marianne Die (nameless again) I cut it twice put them together lifted apart with a tiny Foam Pad, coloured plus a sprinkle of glitter.
Sympathy Card fits a standard A6 envelope.  I made the other ones using my Memory Keeper Envelope Board and some freebe papers.
Stampingalday Stamps.  These were recommended by either Stephanie or Margaret who regularly visit.  Thank you for that,  Hazel & I have both bought loads of these.   Its a brilliant site with lots to choose from http://www.stampingallday.co.uk/

That`s me for today
Thank you for taking time to call in I really appreciate it
Till next time

"It has arrived"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who has popped in for a wee look see!!!
Thank you for all your kind comments on Roberts Calendar, I told him and he is "fair chuffed" as we say!!!
I have time to do this Post  ...  the Card Class was cancelled today because of this:-

It came so quickly, so much in such a short time.
I went out at 6.45 along to J&As to do a "swap over" as we call it.  John to start at 8am, Audrey was Night Shift last night she finishes at 8am.  I get the boys up, fed and take them to school.  Audrey usually gets in before we leave but not this morning.  Dundee was grid locked because of the snow.
When I left my house, the car needed defrosted.  The sky was full of stars it was beautiful, however the roads were rather icy.  Its only 8 miles along the road to their house, no frost there weird.....  When I opened the curtains in the boys room when I woke them I could hardly believe what I was seeing.  The snow was falling, OK not too heavy at that point.
Anyway got them along to school and headed home  ....  down it came.  I could hardly see where I was going.  I got to a very bad curve on our little back road, I am always very careful at this bit. I have had a skid there in the past.  I just managed to make out a car in the ditch, right upside down.   I parked where it was safe and went back, I could not see in any of the windows, I shouted, no sounds not even tapping.  Phoned the police who said they would be there right away.  I shouted and listened again but nothing and there was absolutely no way I could get down to the car without doing myself some damage.  The snow was getting so bad I had to get home just another mile but man!!! it was a long slow mile.  I phoned the police who told me the person driving was OK,  only had minor injuries....thank goodness. Now I don`t know whether this had happened earlier and had already been dealt with or what.  Usually the Police put a Police Aware Tape up or a sign.
Anyway the person is safe that`s the main thing.

Right folks I do need a quite day after all that.  Might have a little "playtime" later
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time, stay safe & warm
Hugs

Butterfly Birthday

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who just happens by.  Thank you for choosing to pop in to see what I have been up to.  If you like what you see and have time please leave a wee comment so I know you called.  I can then have a look at what you get up to if you have an active Blog.
I hope you are all safe and well, these winds are shocking, really scary in fact.   Another disturbed night, although I say I might have 40 winks during the day it just has not happened ... yet!!!  Always something else needs doing or even watching!!! I think there are better things on the telly during the day than in the evening.  OR!! the same things are repeated again in the evening.  We do not get much for our money these days do we???
Anyway, I have been preparing kits for the Card Class tomorrow.  Most of the ladies do not like stamping unless its something like "Happy Birthday" or of late all the Christmas greetings.  Well, they are in for a BIG shock tomorrow.
This is what I have in store for them:-

Both card bases are PMD card
Pink card from a pack I had in stock
Image stamped using Cranberry Adirondack Ink
Quickie Glue Pen and some glitter
Pearls from stock bought at Home Bargains for 50 something pence a pack

Yellow and brown card I got at the Papeterie in Aberdeen some time ago
Image stamped using Adirondack Butterscotch Ink
Glitter
Pearls and an old Happy Birthday stamp

A very BIG Butterfly stamp from Stampin Up  You need an 8x6 inch Acrylic Block for this beauty
I got a beautiful card from Erika over at http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/ using the Butterfly which I adored.  Erika kindly ordered a couple of these for me.  I don`t know of a Stampin Up Demonstrator in this area.
Erika`s card was very similar to the yellow card, I definitely took the inspiration from her
The Gate Fold is one I thought would give the ladies a bit of a challenge.  I can just see and hear the moans and groans.  They have to get out of their comfort zone of just cutting and sticking.
A New Year so new challenges for them......Oh! how they will hate me tomorrow
Stamping is not my thing but I do it just to satisfy myself that I can

That`s it for today from a very cruel Craft Teacher!!!
Thank you for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs
