"Who stole my week???"

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Can you believe it .... last day of January already!!!!  Not only that I seem to have lost part of my week.  If anyone finds it could they send it home, I could sure use it.
I have the boys coming for a sleepover tonight.  Plenty supplies in, although I did pop to Tesco in Blairgowrie for "Grandpa`s Special Bread" ...  a crusty white loaf which they love. with Homemade Jam.   Why it ever got that name we don`t know.   I don`t eat bread  much, John really only eats Brown Bread.   Think we might have said Grandpa has a "special treat" when they come and gets some white bread.  Crusty Bread and extra milk and we are set for anything.
Do you ever have an idea in your head for a card BUT when it`s finished it bears no resemblance to what you had in mind????  Well that`s what has happened today.  I was rummaging and found a piece of Anna Griffen paper I think I might have been saving ... why??? I do not know.  Anyway I used have used it,  here is my card.  Certainly not what I started out to do but there you go:-

Base card 6 x 6 approx
It started off as a Burgundy Base but looked awful when finished, far too dull. I chopped it and mounted it on white .. much better.
Impression Obsession Large Flower, Tiny Flowers  and Tiny Leaf Dies,
SB Foliage Die for the bigger leaves
MS Punch for the fern like bits
There is bit of a Die cut Trellis lurking in the background.   I found it kicking about so thought I would use that as well.
Some Glue and glitter for the centres of the flowers

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate that you do that.
Enjoy your weekend
Hugs

"Oldie for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well and coping with the snow, those who have it.  We have been very lucky so far. just a dusting of the "white stuff".  The mountains I see out of the kitchen window are really thick with snow.  Beautiful there,  hope that`s where it stays.
Thomas was to be going Skiing with the school yesterday and today then next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.    The Bus Company cancelled yesterday and today because of the weather forecast.   Believe it or not it was perfect weather for Skiing yesterday, good snow and the sun was shining.  More importantly the road was open and clear with NO problems.......poor kids are so disappointed.
Oldie for Friday was started by Erika at  http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk  it is just a bit of fun.
It gives you a chance to show things you have made in the past. Does not have to be cards, any crafty thing made by you is what we want.  Tell you what folks  ...  if you ever stuck for something to Post on a Friday there`s your answer!!!!
Here`s mine for today:-

A selection of Pendants made to raise money for the Chemo Unit where my sister Hazel  http://hazelsbasketsofjoy.blogspot.co.uk/ had all her treatments.  We made and sold loads of these to raise money for their "Comfort Fund"   This is money they use for the comfort of patients going through Chemo Treatments.
Hazel had a check up a couple of weeks ago and once again got the "All Clear"
Thank God for all those clever people and the wonders of Modern Medical Science, I still have my sister/best friend.

Thank you for your visit I really appreciate that you take time to call.  If you do leave a comment I read them all and try to get back to your Blog if you have one.
Till next time
Be good and stay safe.
Hugs

"Rose Stamps"

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.  Have you got the cupboards stocked up???  John and I went out yesterday, bought so much blooming food the freezers are FULL.  Cupboards the same, if we are trapped because of the weather they are predicting we will still have food left after a month!!!!

A few of you have mentioned these Rose Stamps   ... Right!!!  They are StampinUp Stippled Blossom Stamp Set.  Tina from http://drakesfieldcards.blogspot.co.uk/  managed to get me a contact address.  StampinUp sell their products through their Demonstrators or Parties.  We do not seem to have anyone in this neck of the woods.  Michelle Last who lives in Buckinghamshire ordered and sent mine direct to my address.  They charge £4.95 P&P for any size of parcel.   Michelle has a Blog http://www.michellelast.typepad.co.uk/   I am sure if you go on and order through her she will be more than willing to get them for you.  All the contact Nos. are there on her Blog
Here is how the Stamps work:-

The Stamps
The inks I used
Step One using the Solid Stamp & Squeezed Lemonade
Step two using the Stippled Stamp & Coffee
Now for the Leaves plus a little foliage using Crushed Olive
Oooopps!!! I have managed to delete the picture of the Leaf Stamps............!!!

I hope you get the Gist!! of what it is all about ...  simple or what??

My Card Class went well today everyone behaved.  No complaints when I told them they would be "Stamping" they don`t like stamping.  They were well challenged as it was a HUGE Butterfly Stamp.  I got a couple of pictures of one of the ladies cards which I will show you tomorrow.

That`s it for today
Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till tomorrow

"Single Rose"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who pops by to see what is going on in my world.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on Roberts card.  I showed him some of them while he was here yesterday.  He came in with his mum and dad, he was full of the joys.  His team had won their Football Match.  He is the Goalie, had saved 3 shots but did let a Penalty in.  With his win at Football and all your comments he was a very Happy Chappie.
Quick Post today this is house cleaning\bed changing day here, off to get on with it.  In the afternoon I am going food shopping.  The forecast is not too good for the rest of the week in this part of Scotland.   Stocking up just in case!!!!

"Roberts Card for Kirsty"

Hello Blog friends, followers and poppers by, Happy Sunday morning, hope you are.all well.
As promised I am letting you see Roberts card he made on Thursday evening.  Grandpa was on duty for a couple of hours while Audrey and went out.  Robert had phoned and asked if he could make a card.  I just got some bit together, stamped a couple of sentiments that I thought would be appropriate and he was left to it.  He knows where everything is kept, what he is and is not allowed to use so I knew he would manage.
Here is his card:-

Not bad for an 8 year old boy
He said it was very simple to make because of the pretty bit in the middle ... Sue Wilson`s Striplet Die.   Looks like Sue has another admirer
I stamped a couple of sentiments using Phill Martin Sentiment Stamps Set, I really like these

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

A few of you commented on my "wonderful colouring"
