"Thank You"

Good morning Blog friends, welcome to my little corner of the world of Blogging.  I love that you come visit and leave such lovely comments.  That`s what makes this Blogging lark all worth while.   Thank you to all who do not have an active Blog and still regularly visit and comment.  I am sorry I cant get back to return the favour.  Thank you to everyone who visits, I am delighted that you do.
Today as I type this it is a "Stunningly Beautiful Day" Spring is coming I know it is I am sure it is.
Thomas and Audrey came to pick Robert up last night.  Thomas was glowing after his 3 days Skiing.  His cheeks were rosy, his smile covered his face, he looked so happy.  They lost 2 days Skiing last week because the bus company heard the Forecast for snow and cancelled the bus.  The snow did not actually come, the children are to get the days made up soon.
Today's card is one I made and sent to a very kind person who helped me source something.  However you are all so kind I extend the Thank You to you as well.

Base card approx 5x 7
Blue card from American Crafts Card Pack picked up at TKMAX for a bargain price
Pink from the same pack
White card cut using Sue Wilson`s Gemini Die ... Carina I just used the outside cutting edge
That StampinUp Stamp that I just can not put away
Little Sentiment Stamp from http://www.stampingallday.co.uk/

OK some info:-
A few of you have asked where I got my Card Stand  ..  it is actually a Candle Holder ...
If you are in Garden Centre or similar place that has lots of Fancy Candles they will be sure to have a selection of Candle Holders.  My one is metal, John snipped and bent a couple of bits so that it holds the card for photographing.
A few of you have placed an order for the Stippled Blossom Stamp through:-  http://www.michellelast.co.uk/  and had wonderful service.  Michelle is lovely, nothing is a problem and she thanks you for the custom.   If any of you like StampinUp products and have difficulty getting them she is more than willing to help you out.

Right folks that`s me for today
Thank you  for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

"Stamped Rose again......!!!

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Welcome, welcome I do hope you are all well , keeping warm and safe in these terrible conditions.  However no snow down at the lower levels here.  We had another stunning day yesterday, extremely cold but Hey! Ho! the sun was up!!!
We went to Perth yesterday morning, John had to go to the Dentist for a filling........he has not had that for years.  John dropped me off in town, I had a good mooch round some shops, bought a few things .. as you do.
Steph:- and anyone else who noticed the words "Lidl and Card" yes! Lidl do packs of Card & Paper every now and again.  Bigger than A4, good card, great colours and very reasonable for what you get in the pad. I usually buy a couple of the pads of card, take out all the colours I would use and the school gets the others. I don`t really do "orange" or shades of.   It is a colour I find very difficult to work with.
When Elaine was here Friday evening we made a few cards using Stippled Blossom Stamps.  There were bits and pieces still lying about yesterday.  Rather than clear them away I decided to use some of them.
Here is my card for today:-

Base card 5 x 5 approx
White frame cut using SB Classic Square Dies (These and Classic Circles were the first ever Dies I bought)
Tilda Flowergarden Paper for another frame  (I love these Pads of Paper/Card) all double sided, very thick 12x12 and beautiful)
StampinUp Stippled Rose Die stamped and cut out, a few added Stickles
SB Foliage Die for the leaves
Stamped greeting

I used John Next Doors   http://johnnextdoor.blogspot.co.uk/ method of colouring card to make the leaves.  He showed it on C&C  ...  not this time but the last time he was on.  You use as many shades of green Distress Ink as you have smudged on your card, add browns, orange etc:- blend them all together.  Let it dry, cut as many leaves as you can get out of your sheet  ..  fantastic.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling by, I really appreciate it
Till next time
 Hugs

"Nineteen years ago today"

Hello Blog friends, followers, and anyone who just happens by.  Welcome to my little corner of the wonderful world of Blogging.
Thank you very much for all your kind comments on my last card.  I really did not like it much myself, however John kept saying how nice it was, he`s used to seeing cards propped up but he was enthusing about it.   John Jnr came in, spotted it right away and said "that`s nice mum" then the boys commented that they liked it as well.  Just goes to show that we are so critical of out own work.
Well nineteen years ago today we moved out here to the country ....... in a Snow Storm!!!!  We had laid "CREAM" carpet throughout Ahhhh!!!!  I tried to cover as many of the floors with sheets, then I worried the men might trip, however we managed.
A scene very similar to this:-

No snow today, we have a beautiful sunny day, cold but Hey! Ho! the washing is out blowing gently in the wind.  Yesterday was the same, all the bedding was done, dried and ironed, it was great.
Thomas off Skiing today.  After the Bus Company cancelled the bus last week because of "SNOW conditions" the Headteacher who has a licence to drive a Mini Bus decided to hire one and take the children herself.
My card for today is a very simple one although it did take a bit of time to do the "flower":-

Base card 6 x 6
Lilac card from Lidl
NitWit Paper from a LOTV pad
Impression Expression Die Set which includes a Die to cut all the "tiny flowers"
Seam Binding
Greeting made from little stamps from  http://www.stampingallday.co.uk/
I did not intend having pearls BUT I managed to get a blob of ink just under that leaf on the left.  There is also a bit on that leaf as well.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs
