"Oldie for Friday"

Hello all, hope you are fine and enjoying the wonderful weather.  Forecasters are saying after today we will revert to rain and colder conditions.  That`s a right "bummer" is it not.  Hope that`s not our spring and better weather will reappear again soon.
Lots been done here at the Ranch this week.  They have been cutting trees in the lane that runs down the side of the garden.  The trees were getting so out of control, lots and lots of wood cut.  We have been stacking it in preparation for future fires.  My word we have stacked enough to last us years to come and there is still so much left.  A few people in the village have open fires a few have Log Burners, there is plenty for them as well.
Friday again, how did that happen???  Our boys will be home on Saturday after their week in Barcelona.  They were at a football match Wednesday evening, have just has snippets about that.  I am sure we will get the full run down when they get back.
Oldie for Friday was started by Erika over at:-http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
It is a chance for you to show off Crafty things you have done in the past.  Certainly does NOT have to be cards.  Anything Crafty you have done is what is wanted.  So come on, we have all been there, rummage in those files I am sure you have something you can show.
Here is mine:-

8x8 card base
Card for matting & layering
Paper from ...  I don`t know where (see it is old)
Digi Image coloured using Promarkers (has to be them they were the first markers I bought)
SB Labels 10, some curly bits and ribbon  Oh! I have just spotted some buttons as well

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

Easter Cards

Hello Blog friends thank you for popping by today I love to have you visit.  If you leave a comment I can get back to see what you get up to.  If you don`t have an active Blog I am sorry I will not be able to visit you.  However I really do appreciate that you call by.
I have just noticed I have a few new Followers, thank you each and everyone who has pressed that button.  I hope you like what you have seen and will continue to pop in.  If you get a tiny bit of inspiration from what I do I am happy, makes it all worth while.
Writing this early today I am off to meet Hazel,  We are then to meet up with a couple of our Blogs friends for the first time, all very exciting.  At least these two are relatively local, last time we did this was down in Birmingham!!!  We met up with Ang and Christine, we traveled down with Kate who lives in Inverness, we met up with Kate earlier that year for the first time.  Blogging certainly brings people closer together.
Here are some of the Easter Cards I made:-

I did them in lots of 3 to make it quicker, I did do each one a little different.
I used a mixture of StampingUp Stippled Blossom Stamp Set and the Justrite Romantic Rose Stamp Set
These Sets are 2 Step stamping.  There is no colouring except for StaminUp ink used on the stamps
Sentiment computer generated, just a ribbon bow to finish off

That`s it for today folks
Thank you so much for calling by I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Shoes & Bags"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who just happens by.  Welcome to my Blog, I hope you are all well and had a wonderful Easter.
We had the most amazing weather here yesterday.  The forecaster said it reached 21degrees.  I don`t think he was far off the mark either.  I went for my usual 21/2 mile walk, on the homeward mile I was walking right into the sun.  Got back, spent all day helping John in the garden.  Lunch and afternoon tea outside and guess what  ..  my face got burnt!!!  I did have suncream on, had my glasses on which have metal frames.  The sun had reflected off the bottom rim and my cheeks got rather red.
I have a project I was doing last week to show you:-

Shoes and matching bags!
Bags are made using Centura Pearl Card from Crafters Companion.
Shoes and the contrasting work on the bags are made using "The Works" 12 x 12 paper pads.
I was in Perth last week, tried to get some more but it was all gone.
The bag for the red shoes was to have 2 handles but I forgot to put them on before I glued the back of the bag to the front!!!  Never mind it now has a shoulder strap.

We had a laugh in the evening, Robert (8) sent us a message.
Just got back to the Hotel after an "apselootly" huge walk along the beach. Don`t you just love that they always find a word!!!!
If I was to type that on my IPad,  Spellchecker would have given me a totally different word altogether at least his made sense.

That`s it for today
Thank you for calling in I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

Some new arrivals!!

Hello Blog friends Happy Eater to you all.  Thank you for popping in to see what I have been up to.
Not a lot actually, our boys are off to Barcelona for the week.  I will be very quite here and Grandpa will have a bad bout of "Withdrawals"
The boys are Barcelona Football Fans, they going to a game while they are there.  All very exciting, I remember when we took their dad to the Stadium when he was about Thomas`s age.  Thomas will be 11 in September, I think we took John Jnr for his 11th birthday which is in July.  He got the whole Kit & Kaboodle and thought he was the Bees Knees.  However Thomas keeps telling us that his Dads strip was not an Official one ... why???   It has no Sponsors on it!!!  They can`t understand that things have changes in 30 odd years.
We have new arrivals in the field, here they are:-

Not the best picture, they are Triplets.  One of them so, so tiny.
They had just been born when the boys arrived.  The mum is still rather wary of the boys looking over the fence at her babies.  Another couple of days and they will be over being nosey. There are another 3 sheep still to have thier lambs.

My dear old neighbour had me doing a 5min card again.
We are so far from shops, she depends on me for all her cards.  Just wish she would get it into her head I do actually have to make them.  Its not quite like Tesco where you pick it off the shelf.  Yes! she gets some from the box but sure as eggs is eggs I don`t have one for the occasion requested.   She wanted a "flat" Wedding card, I had some but they all had dimension, here is what I came up with.  Thank goodness for this Die ...  Mr & Mrs by Taylored Expressions.

Base card, Turquoise card then the Die Cut  ..  easy peasy
Pearls on some of the Flowers
Printed out a nice verse to go on the insert ... done and delivered.
We did some "bartering" once again I got some money plus a 1lb jar of her Homemade Marmalade!!!

That`s it for today folks
Thank you for visiting I really appreciate it
Till next time
