A Man Card

Hello everyone, happy 1st of March.
I hope you are all warm and safe.  WOW!!! that`s some Beast from the East that has attacked us.  We have had far more snow than we really need here in south Perthshire, Scotland.
One good thing about not managing out is I have managed to do lots in the house.  Plus I have also managed some extra "play time".
Today`s card was an order which luckily was for last week and had been picked up.

Its a very simple card
Brown Base Card
Kanban designer card I have had for years and I mean years.
It was bought when they had their factory in Shipley, Yorkshire.  My husband worked for a Yorkshire company, I often used to go down to head office with him.  One of the directors wives was a crafter, she did not drive so she arranged to have a car for me to drive and off we went.  We had great fun filling deep A4 boxes with goodies!!!
Various mats
Happy Birthday is a SU Stamp from a set I won along with lots of other StampinUp goodies in a Magazine Competition
I "think" the Ivy is a SW Die
A string bow to finish off

Patricia Howarth ask about the SU .... yes! Patricia, its short for StampinUp

That`s it for today, thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Be careful if you are out and about

  1. Wonderful card for a man! Such a great card design, it may be simple but sometimes those are the best like this one. Fab paper choice and the sentiment stamp you won is such a nice font. Lovely finishing touches with the ivy and twine. Debra x

  2. It is beaùtiful Patricia, xxx

  3. It seems so strange that you are having snow and I mowed the lawn day before yesterday! Today it's raining so it will grow and the process begins. I love your man card...something that I always struggle with. Your card is a very good fit for a man and I love the design.

  4. Hi Patricia this is a brilliant card for a man. I love it. Stay safe and warm. Hugs Jackie

  5. Hi Patricia another great male card I love your colours and design.
We are snowed in here in South Yorkshire and it’s very windy.
    You stay safe.
    Thank you for sharing

    Hugs Debs xxx

  6. Hi Patricia, A lovely card.
We have lots of snow here too, and it is freezing too, now we are expecting the bad winds 'Emma', brrrrrrr. I can't get warm, keep putting more layers on hahaha. I keep watching on the News all those motorists stranded in their cars for over 12 hours, my heart goes out to them.
    Keep warm.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  7. Hi Patricia,
    yes it's very cccccccooooollllddd!!!!!Brrrrrrrr!!!
Wonderful male card and such a great design.
We are staying put even though the snow has cleared a little.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  8. Good evening Patricia
Now I’m sorry but there is nothing ‘simple’ about this card it’s super and just right for a man I love how you have used the ivy and string very clever!
Well please make a note I’m the first of the Elegant Eight to come in today I think the rest of them are having forty winks!
    With love
    Margaret xxx

  9. Hi Patricia your card is just gorgeous i love everything about it , we have a bitter raw wind here in Cheshire and the snow now is just ice , i have had orders that i have to stay in so i think i will do as i am told for once .

  10. Hello Patricia,
This is a really clever card! It’s deceptively simple , very you! I’m not saying you are simple by the way!! I was going to rephrase that but I shall leave it! You know what I mean!
Oh it is cold but we have no snow here either! It’s very odd as it’s everywhere else I think!
    Love Myra xx

  11. The snow has been really bad here too Patricia but your right it gave me time to catch up with things your card! huggles Sue xx

  12. Hello Patricia,
Just in the nick of time you come to my rescue again. It's time for me to make a son in law card, so a variation on this is "on the cards". Thanks!!!
    love Maureen xx
